"My leg is fine, thank you for asking. Well, what's left of it anyway." Missy said, shaking the metal leg she had on. "Where were you when the outbreak happened, i was in Ponyville with Starburst and Fire Horn, then we got seperated, how about you?" Missy was unsure, did Ink Drop know about her being pregnant and all, or did he feel uncomfortable thinking about it?

Ink Drop slowed down his pace and turned around waiting for Missy, "I was at Ponyville as well, I was writing a new book titled, 'The Void of Space.' I've spent days with Twilight Sparkle and Spike, stargazing up in the hill along with my assistant." Ink said dryly while he kept walking down the sand slope, "Never finished that book, I've lost all of the one hundred and eighty eight pages, OH! How I hate this outbreak." Ink snapped, "at least well... I still have my journal and that's enough."

Stephan left Grand and Hearth to themselves and he walked up to Fire. "Dude, I'm sorry for what happened in the cave earlier." He said to him. "This is all just starting to get to me. We've all been through so much on this damn island. It's starting to take it's toll on me."

"Well, Twilight did say she was busy quite a lot, every night, i could hear her talking to someone on the balcony, i always assumed it was Spike she was talking to, or herself, it wouldn't surprise me, to be honest." Missy said. "I miss the old days, when life was easy."

 

"Don't worry about it, Stephan, either way, i'm the one who should be apologizing to you, you didn't deserve being yelled at by me, after what you've done for all of us." Fire replied. "I guess everything's getting to me too."

Stephan nodded. "At least this'll all be over soon. We just need to get through this desert, then once we get to the shrine, I'll use the device Diane gave to me." Stephan felt the boiling heat coming down from the sun. "And, by the way, I haven't forgotten about Starburst. He didn't have to do what he did, not for me."

Hearthsong took a sip from his personal canteen. He began to think about what happens after they get to the shrine. 'Everything will be back to normal.' He thought. "When this is all over ah might find a nice mare, start a new family. I might take a trip to Manehatten and see some of the sights and theater."

Ink Drop rejoined the group and heard what Hearth just said and he gave a little bit of an insight of Manehatta, since he was half Manehattan pony and half Canterlot pony, "I would get my hopes way too up... It would take time for the cities and states to recover from the outbreak." he looked up to the sky and saw that the sun was in its peak -- no wonder it was very hot.

"But that one is a good aim, good hope, just what the spirit needs; one good aim to keep that flame alive."

Zeta had fallen back a tad, where all the other ponies besides Missy and Ink Drop were at the time. He overheard what Hearth had said, giving a smirk towards him.

"I've been seeing you talk to Grand quite often, almost like you're trying to say something indirectly. Tell me, do you like her in any way?"

Steel was flying high above to group the hyper sense had long since passes and he was deep in thought, he was thinking about his past and about demonblood still out there somewhere and about why demonblood had taken from him te only thug that made him happy

Of course, he didn't wait for a reply once Grand started speaking. It sounded like she was talking to somepony else, but since Zeta wasn't in the conversation at the time he poked her on the shoulder.

"Um, Grand.. Are you talking to someone right now? I dunno if you guys discussed this already on if we could talk about it or not, so i'm sorry if it offends you to ask."

The other figure snorted. Grand composed herself. "If you must know, right next to me is a pony who has decided it is their duty to irritate me to no ends" she said, bracing for zetas response.

Just remember, don't give into the pony who's talking to you alright? I don't want you to fall victim to death or anything.."

"This thing isn't going to cause any death, just severe annoyance" she whipped her head around and glared at the figure, who had a smug look on her face. Grand scowled. "Either way, if you find me talking to myself disturbing, I can stop, or at least do it in private" she said in a frustrated tone

"No it's alright Grand, it's just i'm a little worried now. I don't want you to be haunted by this being or anything, but since you cant stop it right now then just keep it in control."

He gave a sigh, looking down. "If you need help, i'll be here next to you.."

Missy felt quite ill again, though not as bad as before, she stumbled a bit.

"Woah, Missy are you alright?" Fire ran over to her before she could fall again.

"I'm fine, really, it's just how long we've been walking for, four and a half hours is a long time." Missy said, almost complaining.
"But we need to keep moving, we've still got about a day or two's travel ahead of us. We're going north-east now. See that mountain all the way in the distance that's where we're headed." Missy looked at the mountain Fire was pointing at.
"But it's massive." Missy said.

Ink Drop approached Fire Horn and said, "we can't stop, not right here, and we can't burn five hundred calories more further especially Missy."

Four and a half hours of walk, slowly some of the group members were experiencing some difficulty walking, "Think, think, the desert, all of this sand, soft... hill right there, oh yes." Ink Drop saw one alternate way to travel faster and that was after he saw a dune spider folding itself into a ball and then rolled on top of the soft sand. He didn't say anything, Ink simply ran pass Fire Horn and gave a small force of trust to throw himself to the air and made himself into a ball then rolled down the hill of sand, in a brief moment, Ink arrived for almost ten meters away from his last position.

"Wooh! That was dizzy, but fast..." Ink stood up a bit dazed since he had been rolling for sometimes, "Desert roll, the most efficient way to travel the desert. It's easy, find a sand slope and try to retain your momentum and direction." He prepared himself for another roll but he paused; waiting for the others to follow.

"I don't know if you noticed Ink, but i can't roll with only 3 legs and one which doesn't fold." Missy shouted, wondering if she could maybe slide down it on her back. She walked over to the sand dune. "Come on Missy, it's safe, just slide down." 

"Weeeee!" Missy shouted, while sliding down the sand dune.

as steel flew, he was watching for trotters when he seen a body laying in the sand " theres a body over there guys im going to go make sure its not a trotter and make sure it wont be" steel said as he flew over to the body as he got closer he seen the pentagram carved into the side of the body he landed by it "it cant be" steel said as he started to examine the body when he looked in the mouth he found what he was looking for a letter seald with a wax pentagram. steel put the letter inot his bag and stabbed the corpes in the head to make sure it wouldnt become a trootter and flew baclk to the group"it wont be a trootter" was all steel said as he contuined to fly above the group

Grand shrieked as she lost her footing and slipped down the dune behind them. "That spider was far too large" she said, trying to gain some traction but failing

"Is the princess scared if a wee bug now?"

"You really are getting in my nerves"

She had all hooves spread out as she slid further down, gritting her teeth the whole way

"Grand, Stephan, Zeta, Hearth, everypony, c'mon, either you slide or you roll or get one hell of a sun burn." Ink shouted from afar while Missy slid down.

It was fortunate that the dune seas was at a particular form, fit for a desert roll, "A word of advise, watch for scorpions, the small ones not the big ones." Ink warned the others then soon he rolled again. Such technique had been used over the past years by survivalist, luckily, it was always the best and fastest way to navigate through the desert.

Zeta merely hopped down, but soon went to a tumble and flew past everypony. He hoped that nopony was in front of him since his big armor would pretty much crush them, and luckily no one was so he kept going until the ride ended.

"Agh, I got sand in my armor.. One second." He started to pull off the armor, but had a hard time from how hot it was. Eventually he got the sand removed and watched Grand finish as well, walking up to her and smiling.

steel flew and was able to keep up with the others as the rolled in the sand he was going as fast as he could, he took out his jug of water and took a sip, he was running low on watter he hoped they would be able to get some soon

((natrualy flying ins faster than running so i think that steel being able to keep up makes since if he is going as fast as he can if not tell me and ill edit))

"SCORPIONS?!?!!!?" Grand screeched, looking around wildly. "Lovely, that us exactly what we need. Spiders, scorpions. I am not liking the desert" she said, keeping her eyes trained on the ground. "Perhaps it's time to take a break, we have been walking for hours" she said quietly, watching where she was walking

"We don't stop, Grand, we've still got plenty more ground to cover." Fire Horn said before walking ahead.

Missy decided to take this opportunity to talk to Grand.
"Hey, how're you and your company getting on?" Missy asked, trying to beat around the bush a bit.
