Caramel nuzzled Starbursts cheek. "Im glad too. For everything." She said warmly. " Being one of those things... it was awful"

 

Grand walked back into the house and sat down on her couch. "I'm back Moon. Sirius was stil sleeping, I didnt get a chance to talk to her doctor"

"It's alright, you have your own important matters to deal with. Plus i'm assuming the doctor wasn't around." She said, moving over to Grand before moving from the wheelchair to the seat. Then Moon leaned on her, wrapping a hoof around her and gave a kiss on the cheek. "Anyway, how was your checkup? From you coming in here fairly quickly, you seem to have been fine."

"everything is fine, no illness' or anything" She said, looking to change the subject. "Is missy and Fire here? I thought I heard something in their room" She asked, looking down the hall to see if she could see them. "well, I suppose its no matter. You seem to be healing well" She said, looking at the stitched up cut

"I say this a lot but I really do love you, you're just about the perfect one for me in every way." Starburst said. "Well, I've still got some of this left." Starburst levitated the bottle over to him. "Happy birthday to me." Starburst took a drink.

 

As soon as Glint was put down in the crib, she fell straight to sleep.

"She's lovely isn't she?" Missy asked.
"She sure is." Fire replied, Missy snuggling into him.

Moon smiled and giggled, lying down gently on Grand's lap and looked up at her with a cute smile. "Yes I am actually, thanks to you helping me to the doctor's office so fast. And both ponies are upstairs, I think doing something with Glint last I heard. Glint, hehe..~ I'll be able to see her soon, and same with you!"

Caramel giggled, rolling her eyes. After her long hike to the next town, she was pretty tired, so without really wanting to, she fell asleep on Starburst.

 

Grand remembered Glint. "Oh, the little sweetheart is here? Well I'll be sure to go see her... In a moment, would you excise me? I just ened to freshen up" Grand said sweetly before going into her room and closing the door. She sat on her bed and sighed, a million thoughts going through her mind

Dread fired the paralysis spell at Stephan, hitting it almost spot on. The Sonic Blast aura would hold out the spell for a few moments, but it wouldn't hold out forever. The spell began making Stephan weaker, allowing Zycrin to take a few calculated slashes to Stephan's body. Stephan grunted, placing a hoof over his wounds.

"Guys... we need to use the elements..." Stephan muttered. Dread was now preparing to use the same spell on Zeta and Steel.

"Elements?" He replied while firing another shot. "But we need 6 of us to do that, not just three. And besides this Zycrin hasn't done all too much so far."

Then he ran up to him again, charging so he could knock him head on. While Zycrin was charging up, Zeta rammed him again which sent him down on the ground a little ways away.

Starburst felt a feeling of magic surge through him, it was, a feeling of hapiness, he knew what to do. He put Caramel down gently on the bed and ran to the house to get the others.

FIre and Missy felt the same feeling, they started glowing, Starburst burst through the door.

"We're needed. Mum, grab Fire and bring him with us, I'll get Grand." Starburst said, running to the door of her room. "Grand, it's time, the elements are activating."

steel heard Stephan but knew that he himself was unable  use the them and the others where in ponyville so he pulled his hell dagger "ill send you to tartarus for that"steel yelled as he oulled out the second hell dagger and dove at te now grounded zycrin

Stephan was kneeling to the ground.

"Then why are we glowing and why are we levitating off of the ground?" Stephan asked, taking out his element of loyalty. Zeta was right. Not everypony was there at the same time, so why were the elements activating now? Were the others activating as well?

 

Steel pinned Zycrin to the ground and he was beginning to struggle.

"Ah, ah, ah, peasant." Dread fired his paralysis spell at Steel.

((OCC: React however you want to react))

 

Right when Dread fired the spell, Light charged up to Dread and took out a special raygun.

"I think you've done enough..." Light muttered.

steel didn't care he couldn't use them so he sliced at zycrin he hoped he could get him sent to tartarus and then be able to enjoy his four remaining months of life

"So who are you? And what the hell are those things? Even more, what the hell is happening?" I was asking a barrage of questions to the two ponies.

 

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold your horses there," the mare said, waiting a few seconds before continuing. "So I'm Silverspeed here. And this" – she points to the filly – "is my lil sis, Archie." 

 

"Archer," the filly corrected. Now with a clearer mind, I looked at the two. Archer was short for a filly, and her messiness and short mane gave the impression of your typical rebellious teen. Silverspeed looked much more organized, her wings preened and fur combed. At first sight, they had almost no resemblance to each other – what were the chances of seeing a pegasus and earth pony sibling, so different in their appearances and personality?

 

"And if you haven't realized anything yet within the two hours, you're fighting with the dead. Only they're not quite dead," Silverspeed explained, pulling the arrow out of the corpse. Both of them still kept their distance, and readied their weapons. Archer had a knife taped and tied onto her hoof like a bayonet. Perhaps they were still afraid that I was infected. 

 

"We came here some time before to set up a bivouac camp while things settle down. Before that, we were at our home, enjoying ourselves out, until we noticed something unusual coming up on the radio. Told us to stay in because of an epidemic, and moments after that, our neighbor turned. Sadly, I had to stab him, then I noticed he looked different. 

 

"You know, several scars on his faces, parts of his skin broken off, and his eyes were a lifeless yellow. I was nearly freaking out and on the edge of vomiting, and this pony is chasing me, until I went to the kitchen and stabbed him until he lay completely dead on the ground. And I thought, 'No way I'm going to stay here any longer! Got to get the hell out of here!' So my sister and I armed ourselves ran out of the apartment and went as far as we can through the alleys until our legs couldn't take us any further, and entered the backdoor of the building here."

 

"Then we met you!" Archer chimed in. 

 

"To be honest," Silverspeed said, "we don't know what's happening, but I sure do know that we're stuck in some undead outbreak. You got anything?"

 

I quietly showed her the flares, flashlight, and signal mirror, which was shattered by the collapse of the shelves. She bit her lip, and told me to keep them "Flares are useless in this matter. The dead are sensitive to sound and smell – though you shouldn't underestimate them, as they have vision as well. The crackling sound from the flares would attract them," she contended. "But you should keep it anyway, if the time comes for you to use it."

 

Us three trotted upward to the final flight of stairs to the rooftop. Silverspeed peeked outside, then closed the door. "Crap, pegasi trotters," she muttered. 

 

"What?" I said tersely.

 

"We call them 'trotters'," Archer explained. "Some are earth ponies and unicorns. They go in herds and though they look slow, but when they smell us, they'll run like the wind. Thankfully the unicorns don't use magic."

 

"And then there are pegasi trotters," Silverspeed added. "The ones you don't want to mess with. Though their smell and sound is impaired, the moment they see you, they'll swoop down in a second and bite you to pieces. That's when you'll turn into them. 

 

"But that's not always the case. Getting trotter blood inside of you is other way. That's why when you stab somepony, protect your eyes, your mouth, your nose, and your wounds. If you ingest or get it inside your body, you're as good as dead. Or undead. That's what happened to one of the guards with his pistol. Got the blood splattered into his mouth and within ten minutes, he turned."

 

I closed my eyes in disbelief. "How is this possible?" My head felt a bit faint, almost if I have been bitten myself. "And why are their reanimated ponies? This doesn't make any scientific sense..."

 

"Nothing makes sense any more, miss," Archer retorted. "But we all have to survive. You should, too...uh...what's your name?"

 

"Astrolabe," was my near silent rejoinder. "Physicist and professor of the Heartland Institute of Science."

 

Silverspeed stood up. "We're heading to Ponyville," she suddenly said.

 

"Impossible in this kind of environment," I remarked. "The trip will take four hundred miles...at least."

 

"Our family's there," she elaborated. "We lived here for the last two years, and my parents are in Ponyville. We don't know if they're still alive, but we have to go there. Now, I'm not certain you too have any relatives there, but you would make the trip. Or you can stay and we'll be on our way. It's your choice."

 

I sat there for a few minutes. My own family is in Hoofington, I thought. But that's a different route that what they're supposed to go. But then again, I can't go alone. My chance of survival would decrease. 

 

"I'm going with you two," I finally replied. "But we'll need to go to Asphodel City first, to my home. Hopefully I still have some supplies hidden there."

Grand felt it, and as Starburst ran into the room she followed without hesitation. "I dont know whats going on, but we need to hurry" She said, running out of the house and followed Starburst closely as they ran to... whatever it was they were being drawn to.

Missy's good luck charm started glowing, it's brightness increasing, ribbons of magic flowing out of it, summoning an object onto her head.

"It's the...." Missy muttered, the crown appearing on her head. "It's the element of magic!"

The remaining elements quickly left for their destination.

"Alright, this'll be difficult." Starburst said. "We can combine out magic to teleport us all to them, I know one of us knows where it is. Grand! You'll be the navigator."

Moon was pretty much left alone again. "Guys? Anyone?" She called out, then realized no pony was there and sighed. "Well, I guess they just left me here again, so i'll wait..."

 

Back in the battlefield, Zeta also got close to Zycrin and had his gun drawn at him. "You move or teleport, you get shot, hear me?

"Navigator? I dont know where we're going, but if you insist" She sighed, powering up her magic and getting ready to perform a teleportation spell

 

Caramel woke up to an empty room. She sighed and thought she might as well go back to the house. She made her way to the house and opened the door to see Moon. "Got left behind too I see" she said, closing the door behind her

Starburst, Missy and Fire all contributed to the spell. It was difficult but eventually they started moving, they appeared a few hundred meters from Zycrin's grave and the battle.

"Stephan! Zeta! Steel! We're here, let's finish this!" Starburst shouted.

Dread laughed at Zeta's comment.

"He can't, but I can!" Dread then noticed that Stephan was being raised up, and he was glowing.

"Wha? What? What's happening??" He exclaimed.

"The elements are coming together. That's what's happening!" Light said with a laugh. Dread simply grunted.

"I'm done down here. Zycrin, stand down!" At an instant, Zycrin fell to the ground, dead once again. "Stephan. Meet me up in the sky with your little companions, and I will show you my real power!" At that moment, Dread disappeared and teleported above the clouds.

"Looks like he's about to pull out all of the stops! Stephan, you and the others get up there and I'll keep in contact with you from below! You guys need to defeat him."

Stephan nodded and turned to the others. "Let's kick this guy back to Tartarus!" He exclaimed.

Moon just lied there on the couch, moving a bit for Caramel to sit down next to her head. "Yeah, I guess. I wouldn't know where they went though, beats me. Anyway how is your day honey? I haven't talked to you in a bit."

 

Back in Appleloosa, Zeta smiled as he felt some magic start to slowly lift him up. There was a thought in his mind just then as he came to Missy's side and remembered something. "Hey, you forgot my gun. It has one shot left, which I advise you to use it when needed most on this. Maybe, wait... Could you, possibly empower the bullet?"

"Its been exhausting. I dont know why we can't ever just have a normal day" She sighed, sitting on the couch. "Its ridiculous what we've gone through"

 

Grand did as she was told, channeling her element as she began to glow, the same way she did back on Bruchellia.

Missy nodded, charging a spell on the element, it started glowing immensely, everypony flew up into the air to confront Dread.

"Demon, you have one chance, surrender now, or go back to Tartarus by our hooves." Missy said, eyes glowing a bright white.

 

Suddenly, Glint started crying, she didn't know where everypony went when she woke up.

When the heroes got up to the sky, Dread appeared as a demonic abomination (AKA: His final form)

"Do you really think you can go toe-to-toe with death itself? We'll see how you fair once I blow you into oblivion!" Dread simply pushed back Steel and began charging a fireball spell.
"Zeta, you said you had one last bullet, right?" Light asked over his communicator. "Maybe you guys can bring him down a decent notch with it if you empower it like you said."

Missy started the spell to activate the elements, boosting the power of her magic by phenomenal amounts.
"ZETA! DO IT!" Missy yelled, as the bullet was wrapped in an angelic-like aura. "We'll send you back to Tartarus you worthless demon!"

Rainbows started to envelope the six bearers as the spell started, a beam shot towards Dread.
