Grand sighed with relief. "Alright then. You two can... go home now. I'll go find Fire" She said, glad to get away from the situation. she started heading towards town hall

 

Caramel watched Grand leave. She turned back to Starburst. "now that we're done that, what should we do" She asked

"I'd like that Zeta, I meant to talk to you anyway, for a while, I've been remembering the time, a decade ago, you saved my life from bandits. Thank you for that. I would've died if not for you." Fire said. "I never would've seen my family again, and Glint wouldn't be alive right now either."

Zeta nodded and tried to recall the time back then when it happened, but it was so long ago that he couldn't exactly remember. "Huh, that memory.. It sort of faded away from me as life continued on. Tell me, where were we and when did I save you? Because I have no clue..~"

"I don't know." Starburst said, kissing Caramel on the lips. "But I'm a little tired after those two spells."

"I don't know about you, but I'm tired, I'm going to sleep." Starburst said, going to the house, inside and flopping down onto Caramel's bed, he fell asleep almost instantly.

 

"Well." Fire said while walking out of the town hall. "I was walking by a cliff, when about 5 bandits came in and tried to steal my stuff and kill me, but you found me and saved me, not long after we found Grand and Josh and the others.

He followed closely behind while listening to the story long ago, then nodded his head as it all came back to him. "That's right, I did do that some time ago. If it's anyone in danger who's about to get bitten by trotters, or even just robbed by bandits, they still deserve to live. Heck i'm so glad I did that now, since I have to admit, your baby is cute..~"

As midnight neared, everypony from the group were sitting in a circle. Fuselage was carrying the flashlight, shining it on the group before placing it on the center. "So," Fuselage started, "Fifer isn't joining us on our weekly night talk."

 

"Wait," Graphite, a darkly colored unicorn, interrupted. "Since when did we create a 'weekly' meeting?"

 

"I did," Fuselage answered. "And this is our first meeting in the radio building. Where we deal with our recent issues and losses and express our feelings. It'll keep the group together."

 

There was a short moment of silence, and Fuselage continued. "So! Mind if some of us tell us what happened before the outbreak? What were you doing?"

 

Cold Front, a lightly yellow colored earth pony with a mane green as grass and cold, as his name implies, blue eyes, rose his hoof. "My family were supposed to take a trip to Stalliongrad. We got there by train – it was soon crowded when we got through Canterlot. Then as we were nearing the station by about a few miles, the conductors and crew stopped the train and didn't let us out. We didn't know what was happening, and then it all happened. The train was overrun by ponies; but they weren't alive. 

 

"Then we realized, we weren't going to stay here and allow them to come in and kill my family. So all of us went to the back of the train car and jumped off. I heard the crew yell at us, telling us to stop and come back. But we didn't, and eventually we came here."

 

Another pony, Graphite, rose his hoof in response. "I think we were on the same train. You know, I'm from Canterlot myself, and I was going to Stalliongrad due to...business...reasons."

 

"Well, it appears like we have some ponies who have something in common!" Fuselage announced. "So, another question; which item do you miss the most?"

 

"My airship," Cinnamon replied. "Has to be the airship. I've piloted it for years, and I don't want to lose it. I don't want to know what's happened to it, either. Some ponies may have looted the thing."

 

"Metal-clad, rigid, semi-rigid, non-rigid, or thermal?" Fuselage asked.

 

"Rigid," Cinnamon said. "It's in Mirror Lake right now, if it's still even there."

 

"I'm an airship architect myself," Fuselage stated. "It would have been pretty great to see your masterpiece. Now anypony else?"

 

"I miss some of my old tools, but most of all, my friends back in Ponyville," Quickfix intervened. "Now I know they're not items, I mean my friends, but like Cinnamon's airship, I don't know what's happening to them. They could be alive, or dead, or, worst of all, undead." She smacked her head, anxious and fatigued. 

 

"We're all experiencing this," Fuselage commented. "And what are you all going to accomplish now all of you are here?"

 

As the other ponies proceeded with their conversation, Silverspeed, who sat next to me, whispered, "So are you still going to Hoofington to meet your parents? Archer and I are thinking of leaving this place sooner or later after we pack up with some weapons and food."

 

I was a bit shocked by that question; it was hard enough to find such an effective group, and now we have to leave them. Could we do that? But then again, what about my parents? Are they even still alive? 

 

Unable to fully answer the question, I whispered back, "I don't know, Silver. Let's see how things turn out."

 

Without a word, she nodded and continued listening to the group.

 Stephan walked out of the hospital when he saw Grand walking around town. He began to jet up to her.

"Grand, thank Celestia you're here." He said in relief. "I'm pretty sure that Starburst and Caramel are telling you that Fire is slowly losing his marbles." He assumed. "Are you gonna do something about it?"

"That she is, Zeta, that she is." Fire said. "Well, now that I've got no work to do, or anything to do really, I am at a loss for what to do now. The theater is nearing completion, so it might be done as soon as tomorrow. That'll be some vastly good news to Grand."

 

"I think we should take Glint to see Sirius and Moon, she's always having fun with Moon. I don't think we should let her see my mum though." Starburst went inside, Glint was already awake. "Hey, lil' sis." Starburst picked her up and put her on his back, he retrieved a few bottles of milk and left for the hospital.

"I think we should go see my sister, Moon and Sirius, that'll take my mind off things." Starburst said.

"When Grand comes back then i'll tell her that, sound about right?" He said while giving a little chuckle. "But aside from that, why don't we go out and have a little drink? It's been far too long with me not having any alcohol in my stomach, but I cant drink that much."

"Well, that's why I was brought here. It seems I can't leave for a night without chaos being ensued. Now, where is Fire?" Grand asked, looking over at the remains of the building.

 

Caramel watched as Starburst went up to bed, and she sat down on the couch. She thought to herself about the whole situation and sighed

Starburst arrived at the hospital, assuming Moon was in Sirius' room, he asked to see Sirius. He was given directions to the room. He poked his head in.

"Hey, I brought somepony to see her favorite mare in the world." Starburst said, Glint had taken one of Starburst's wings and started gnawing on it, she didn't have any teeth so it didn't hurt.

 

"If Starburst has told Grand anything about what has happened recently, I'm sure she'll want to see me." Fire said.

Starburst arrived at the hospital, assuming Moon was in Sirius' room, he asked to see Sirius. He was given directions to the room. He poked his head in.

Moon and Siri both looked up, now the mother being with her little filly on the bed. This time the catheter was removed, so she could walk a bit.

 

Both ponies hopped off the bed with Sirius in Moon's arms and looked over. "And who would Glint's favorite mare be?" She giggled and gestured for them to come in.

 

Zeta nodded. "Ah, okay. I guess we wait here then? Or maybe go to her house."

Caramel followed behind and smiled at Sirius. "Hi everyone, how are you doing? Your looking nice and healthy Sirius" she smiled

 

Grand noticed Fire in the distance. "Ah, there he is. Would you excuse me for a moment?" She said to Stephan before heading over to see him. When she got there she smiled. "Hello boys, how are you this fine morning?"

Caramel followed behind and smiled at Sirius. "Hi everyone, how are you doing? Your looking nice and healthy Sirius" she smiled

 

Grand noticed Fire in the distance. "Ah, there he is. Would you excuse me for a moment?" She said to Stephan before heading over to see him. When she got there she smiled. "Hello boys, how are you this fine morning?"

Siri laughed and limped over to Caramel, making sure not to put near none pressure on her left front hoof while walking over and gave a hug. "I am nice and healthy, aren't I? The doctors did a great job of fixing me up, and I was happy for it since I can walk again~!"

 

Zeta smiled at Grand's arrival. He walked to her and gave a long hug, then kissed her cheek. "Me and Fire here are doing just fine..~"

"Grand, uh, I'm fine, just fine....you know, I'm sure Caramel told you about what happened last night." Fire said. "Which is why, I have resigned from being Mayor, I can't be trusted with such a position at this point in time."

Grand smiled at Zeta before turning her attention back to Fire. "Yes, and I'm glad you've chosen to resign until we get this figured out. Now, from what I understand, these episodes are usually triggered by seeing something unsettling and related to... Previous episodes" she said, thinking out loud

 

"Well it looks like you'll be out of the hospital in no time" caramel smiled, hugging her gently

Starburst walked in and sat on a chait, sitting Glint next to him, she was still eating his wing.

Since Sirius became occupied with Caramel, Moon walked over next to Starburst and sat on the floor. She could hear Glint nibbling on his wing and giggled. "Doesn't that feel any sensitive to you at all Starburst honey? Usually it's the ears and wings so i'm curious..~"

"Yes, I believe that happened last night. I came in to the house laughing, and I got kicked out of the hospital for that same thing." Fire said. "I just want Ponyville to be a safe place, where ponies can fall in love and have families, all without fear of being stabbed in the back."

 

"It's a kind of weird sensation, but it seems to be making Glint......happy? So, I'm not bothered." Starburst said.

"Yes, I believe that happened last night. I came in to the house laughing, and I got kicked out of the hospital for that same thing." Fire said. "I just want Ponyville to be a safe place, where ponies can fall in love and have families, all without fear of being stabbed in the back."

Hearing the "have families" part of the sentence made Zeta sigh, but he shook his head and sat down next to Grand. "Crime is up a ton even after the apocalypse, but it's slowly decreasing as time goes by. You do know we're a huge danger, being famous and all right? Because at any given moment a bandit or something could pop out and shoot one of us."

 

Moon just smiled and nuzzled Glint to get her attention. "Hey sweetie pie, how's Caramel and Starburst doing in taking care of you?"

Glint stopped for a moment and looked at Moon awkwardly, then looked away.

"It's alright Glint." Starburst nuzzled Glint. "I worry about her, I really do, what if her mum never wakes up, what would I do then?"

 

"Missy, learned that the hard way, we can never leave our guard down, and I taught Siren a lesson, with the barrel of a gun, I had fun doing it." Fire slapped himself in the face. "Sorry, new topic?"

Grand looked at Fire suspiciously. "I feel it's for the best if you don't have any firearms for awhile. I think you should keep away from any type of violence as well, it seems to be a trigger for you" she said, looking at him. "I hope you understand why I'm saying this, I mean no offence "

Steel finished his fourth bottle of the day and drunkenly walked out of the bar he feel over the steps and struggled to get up after he righted himself he began stumbling around aimlessly around town he stopped for a moment to drink a shoot of rum then began to stumble about again

Glint stopped for a moment and looked at Moon awkwardly, then looked away.

"It's alright Glint." Starburst nuzzled Glint. "I worry about her, I really do, what if her mum never wakes up, what would I do then?"

"And trust me, your mother will wake up from her coma soon. But for now maybe I can be like her babysitter, unless you two want to get some time in."

"No, no, of course I do.... I just......" Fire looked behind Grand and noticed Steel staggering about and drinking. "Excuse me for a moment." Fire walked towards Steel. "Steel, have you been drinking all morning?" Fire asked.

"After everything that's happened, I just want to spend as much time as I can with her, to protect her, to guard her from anypony who might harm her." Starburst said.

"This town is mad" Grand grumbled, following behind Fire. "I really don't think it's wise to be around Steel for awhile. Perhaps it's best if you let me deal with it" she said to Fire as they made their way to him.

 

Caramel smiled. "We are all here for Glint, and Missy will be back up and running in no time" she said
