Stephan looked onto the horizon and saw the mountain. "Looks like we're in for some mountain climbing next." Stephan hiked behind Fire and Missy, wishing he could go at least a little faster.

Stephan slowed down and walked beside Grand. "You ready for this?"

Grand huffed. "Im just ready to go home. lets get this overwith" she said, watching the looming mountain tower over them. "I hope we can all go home" she said, unsure of what to come. The mountain was massive, perhaps the tallest shes seen. "those humans sure didnt want us to get up there did they"

Hearth walked over to Grand. He couldn't help but laugh at her mane. "Hmm, it's pretty early right now. Is there anything that you need me to carry for ya?" He asked her. His thoughts drifted back to the pages of the book, he wished that he could read, and walk at the same time, but shook it away and refocused.

Steel stopes his work out and grabbed his bags and walked behind everypony with his head hung low without something to keep his mind busy he started to think about moon beam and how she taught him to channel the inner magic that was in all ponies unicorns or not

Stephan shrugged. "Whatever that shrine has in it must've been important to them. First, we'll have to scale this mountain, and then get through a machine. Still, it doesn't sound like too big of a problem. We'll kick it's robotic behind!" He said in a confident tone.

The sand was starting to disappear in place of hard rock and grass, finally, it was mid-day so Fire was happy to get out of the desert.
"We're here."Fire said. "We scale the mountain, it's very tall, so let's get there as fast as possible so we can fix this."

Zeta of course was at the back of the group again, sluggishly dragging himself behind everyone. His depression from a while back had hit him again, not letting out a smile or any real sign of emotion anymore. He felt like a failure, but even so he continued trekking onward.

What's the point now. I failed three times, and from the looks of it Grand isn't ever coming back.. There's no reason to live, but why do I keep going?

Stephan raised his head to look upwards the mountain, his eyes felt like they must've shrank, because the mountain seemed as if it went all the way into outer space. "This may take a while." Stephan grabbed a piece of rock sticking out from the mountain, because he had a strategy; He'd treat this like it was a rock-climbing segment and grab on from rock to rock, making sure he wouldn't slip and fall.

"I'm willing to give one of you guys a free ride up this mountain." He said. "Any takers, or are you all good?" He asked.

He looked up to Steel, then looked back down toward the ground again. "It doesn't matter if I keep it in or not anymore. In any way, it's not going to change my mood so why bother.."

 

Getting up to the mountain, Zeta looked up and exhaled. It was huge and all, but even so they would all make it up there. He started to climb up, but noticed Grand once more and felt much worse for her.

He decided to jump back down again, taking off his armor and looked at her. It was painful to do so, since he didn't feel worthy of even looking but he still had the courage to ask.

"This will probably be the last time we ever do this, unless you want to get on Stephan and let somepony else climb on.."

Grand smiled at him. "oh, I think I could be fine for a while... I'll let you know once Im going to need some assistance though" she said, looking up at the mountain. "and what do you mean last time? we are going to have to go all the way back still" she said, looking back the way they came. "We arent done once we get the cure, we still hace to make the trek all the way back home" she said, a little frustrated that they would have to do it all over again

"I did say probably the last time, since you know, some ponies may die trying to get to the cure.. But to not focus of that now, we better start to climb up."

With that saying, he waited for Grand to first start, just in case if she ever needed help from the beginning.

Steel looked up at the mountain and insted of climbing henkut took flight -having wings does have it's advantages- steel thought as he satyrs leval with the group, soon his mind began to wonder and henfound himself thinking about moonbeam and how demonblood too her from him and he let pure rage fill his being luckily he wasnt touchin the dagger or it would have turned into a blood bath

Stephan smiled. "Maybe we will have to walk back, maybe we won't. We'll just have to see what the future holds for us." Stephan told her, trying to keep her confident for what lies ahead.

 

"No time to waste, I guess. I'll meet you all on the other side!" Stephan began slowly climbing the mountain.

Hearth trotted up to Grand again. This time for a really good reason. "Ah kinda forgot about it, but ah just wanted to let ya know, ah'm sorry about the incident at the volcano cave, where ah, ya know... In case ah made ya feel uncomfortable." He said. He climbed up to a smal ledge and reached a hoof down to her to help her up.

Zeta continued to climb up, finding the rocks that were the best to use to keep going. On occasion he would look to Grand to see if she needed anything, but even with three legs she was surprisingly good.

Of course, it still didn't change the fact that he didn't feel worthy for her.

So he kept going, not too fast to get from Grand's reach just in case she slipped or something. "Are you still hanging in there, Grand? I'm quite surprised at how well you're managing this, but even so I don't want to jinx you.."

Steel flew by everypony even tho he could just fly to a good spot and nap till they got to him he didn't "if anypony needs to take a break let me know and I'll carry you for a bit since I'm flying and this is easy for me" steel said loud enough for everypony to hear he stool couldn't stop running about moonbeam and sadness was evedent on his face

Missy started flapping her wings and flew alongside Steel as the only two winged ponies in the group.
"Need any help, Fire?" Missy called out, waving to him.
"Nah, i'm good, just have to focus is all." Fire said.
"OK, same goes for me, if anypony is tired i'll carry you for a bit." Missy said.

Stephan began to gain some ground on the mountain. He looked down, only to find that he was about 500 feet above solid ground. It almost made him sick to his stomach.

Stephan carefully reached out his hand to Missy. "I think I'll take you up on that offer..." He said, feeling a bit embarrassed to ask.

As usual, instead of looking at the problem directly, Ink looked beyond what he could see. His eyes scanned the whole terrain in front of him; rocks and grass with a little bit of red soil, perfect for climbing, "Red rocks, ants, red ants, but no holes, so ants won't be a problem." Ink muttered while the others were already scaling the mountains, "looks like we meet again, ey, what did I do the last time I was here..." Ink looked around, trying to remember what he did back then; how he'd reached the Shrine. Alternate paths weren't present at that time, it was either scale through or took up some more days to look around for a solid ground -- both of them has their own risk -- but it seemed that go straight through was already taken, "Straight through, huh? I need two sticks." he went back to the lower ground level and head towards a tree to pluck two sturdy sticks with a branch forming a look spike near it's end, "Rock climbing... too rocky... ice climbing, now that's a bit nicer." Ink chuckled as he softened the sticks for him hold, the spike on the edges were also trimmed of splinters, making it an improvised climbing ice axe or in this case, soil axe.

"Stephan, i can't be sure i can keep a hold of you, or lift you properly, but i'll try, Missy extended her hoof to pick up Stephan, she caught hold of him and he was really heavy, she was feeling the strain on her wings pretty quickly.

"Missy, are you alright?" Fire asked.
"Yes, i'm..... just fine." Missy said.

Stephan noticed Missy was struggling. "On second thought, I'll just keep going. You don't need the extra weight." Stephan swung himself back and forth from Missy's arms. He then dismounted and grabbed back on to the mountain, slipping a little bit, but managing to hold on.

Ink tied both of the wooden axe to his front limb carpus, it looked like he had just wasted some time for setting up all of those preparation, he was about three point five meters away from the group, "Wooh! They are fast, but I can catch up." he smirked.

Red soil pockets all around the face of the mountain, without hesitating, Ink gave one forceful jab from his right front limb and the wooden axe stuck in nicely into the dense soil, "Works like a charm." he said in the first time of trial, he jabbed the other axe tied to his carpus towards the soil and continued repeating the process. 

He done it easily, in fact, his method rely on the use of a simple machinery which allowed him to carry up to twice his weight, "Oi! Anypony needs a hoof carrying their stuff, I would say one or two saddle bags or satchels." Ink smile while he climbed and surprisingly, he was catching up with the group.

Grand was beginning to struggle, but she persevered. She dug her hooves in every step she took, occasionally faltering when using her back hoof, and was slowly making her way up. "You don't suppose this mountain will be scaled in a day, do you?" She said, looking at the towering mountain
