(How about we don't get to Appleloosa until tomorrow in real life because I don't want to be staying up until 2 doing this.)

Ugh.. What now.?

Before he even had a chance to close his eyes, Ghost had to break down in tears RIGHT next to him, which annoyed Zeta to the point of where he got up and climbed onto the roof through a latch up top. Then slowly he lied back down and did his best to use the wind to block out any noise.

Grand whipped her head to where she heard someone fall to the ground. she galloped over, seeing Ghost in a state of mental breakdown. " Ghost!" she said, terrified. she tried to calm herself and sent out a calming aura to try and help the situation. she sat down next to him and put her hooves on his shoulders. " Ghost, look at me! your okay, your safe. your on a train to Appleloosa with a group of people who care about you greatly" she says with a tremble in her voice. " you are our protector and we trust you with everything" she said, tears starting to form. she hated to see him in such a terrified state

Fire Horn knew he wasn't getting back to sleep that night. The vision wouldn't leave him, the feeling of guilt, he had to leave, he HAD to, or else he would've died, or worse, been bitten.

Tempest ate the food and sighed. "We should be in Appalossa soon." He said. "If there are any trotters, I'll take care of them." The cyan pegesus then smirked and glanced out the window to see the miles of dessert that normally surrounded Appalossa. "We're getting close."

(Very funny, Shyflutter) Ghost then gets up and whips his tears away and calms himself. "Don't worry. It's fine. It's just a thought from my past came back to haunt me for a second. No big deal." Ghost walked back into his seat and tried to close his eyes and sleep. He felt that the breakdown he had was quite embarrassing.

Grand watched Ghost walk away with a worried expression, but felt she shouldnt say anything. He seemed to need some time alone. " she returned to where Fire was, but realized he had fallen back into a restless sleep. She wasnt tired so she decided to watch the few trotters crawling around the desert

Josh walked up to grand and sat beside her while yawning "so what time did you prefer before or after the out break? i know its a strange question im just curious though" Josh stared at the night sky at the stars searching for the northern star among them

Grand looked at him. " I prefer knowing my sister is alive and well, rather than potentially chowing down on pony flesh" she said a little coldly. anyone who preferred this over how life used to be must be mad. " im sorry, that was a little rude of me. I just miss being able to walk outside without being attacked by ponies who once lived normal lives"

Fire Horn wasn't sleeping, he couldn't, his mind still haunted. He decided to get  the book out of his saddlebag, the one that this Zycrin character had ruined. "This was a present you know, from my son, but now, just like the world, it's ruined." Fire Horn let the book fall to the floor.

Grand looked at Fire. " might I ask about your son? why focus on the bad when we can reminisce about the good? it might pass the time as well" she said, turning to face him. Maybe talking about his happy memories might make all of them feel a little better. She looked at the book, but the title was blurred by a gash in the cover

Josh continued to stare at the stars "no no dont be sorry that wasnt rude i asked a question and got an answer"

Josh turned at the sound of the book hitting the floor "what kind of book was that?" Josh asked looking inquisitively at the book that had fallen to the floor

Fire Horn started to remember, not the bad times, but the times they spent as a family.
"Well, he was the greatest thing in my life, i never wanted to have children, but he just lit up my world, whenever we were together, i just thought. "My life can't get any better." 

"His name was Starburst, he was an alicorn, just like his mother."

With all of the commotion going on, Ghost just tried to get some shuteye. Terrible thoughts of the past haunted his dreams, though. Dreams consisting of his family, the outbreak, and the past year of his life he spent in utter lonesome. These dreams kept going through his head all throughout the night.
(I'm stopping here. We'll arrive in Appaloosa tomorrow IRL. See you guys.)

Grand smiled at Fire. " I think that so lovely. I hope one day I can have a little pony of my own!" she said. the idea of it set off a spark of her magic that accidentally collided with Josh, who evidently passed out. " oops, sometimes ym magic decides to make decisions on a whim" she says with an embarassed laugh.

"I have an idea, let's do something, i'll tell you something very strange about me, then it's your turn, sound like a good idea." Fire Horn asked, she seemed like the type, the ones that do fun things. He waited her response.

Grand thought this sounded like a great idea. she levitated Josh to his own booth, then smiled " that sounds like fun! who should start?" she says happily. (well here comes some random character information I will probably make up on the spot lmao characterrestrictions ugh)

Fire Horn thought for a while about what he should mention, there was that thing with the pies, or the incident involving the pegasus and the cheese. Aha!

"I have one, a small while before i moved to Ponyville, i met Princess Luna, right, and i sort of had a.... thing for her." Fire Horn looked embarrassed.

Grand laughed a little " Oh, she is such a sweet heart, from what ive heard!" she said. she thought a little bit

" Oh, Ive got one! I am a terrific gambler!" she said smiling "and I dont even cheat... most of the time" she said with a mischevious smile

"Well, i should probably tell you the one about the pegasus and the cheese, this isn't as funny as it sounds." Fire Horn began:

 

"I was hopping through Canterlot as a small colt, literally hopping, but there was a pegasus pony delivering some cheese overhead, so i jumped up and got my horn stuck in a big wheel of cheese, since it was heavier than i was, i was in the air, flailing my hooves for about a minute."

Lady woke from her nap feeling much more energized. Her head was still a bit dizzy and her face had that of a groggy look from her slumber. She bat her eyes a bit to clear her vision, stretched, and stood up on all four hooves with a healthy smile. /They're all talking about their pasts.../ She observed as she made her way over to the rest of the group.

A few bits later, Zeta had awoken from his nap again. Not a long one but he supposed it was good enough for 5 straight days of no sleep. The sun was starting to set, and it was just about 6pm from his calculations. Hopefully Lady had awoken from her nap right now, so he started to head down, but not before looking at a beautiful sight of trotters that roamed the vast plain beside them as they were moving.

But he knew that it was time to get down, so he opened up the latch and fell through, landing on 3 hooves which immediately collapsed as he fell onto his body.

"Agh... I forgot how shaky the other three legs were as opposed to the fourth which is still hurting.."

Ghost couldn't sleep. Not with all of the thoughts going through head about the past. They were just too much for him to comprehend. Ghost gets up out of his seat and exits the cart he then flips his way up to the top of the cart, hoping to get a little bit of fresh air. He then stands up on his hind legs and looks out into the horizon, staying ever watchful for danger.

Lady jumped at the sound of a nearby thud. /What was that??/ She thought to herself frantically. She then quickly made her way to the thud's source. It was Zeta laying flat on the floor right below an opened latch on the ceiling. "Zeta! Are you okay??" She squealled as she helped the fallen stallion up onto his three hooves.
