She helped Moon out if the chair and into the toilet before realizing there was still blood in the guest room. She jumped up and ran to the guest room. "It's not ready yet, there's still some things to do!" She said frantically

"Sirius, you're good with magic, right?" Starburst asked. "What kind of spells can you use?" Starburst hoped for some entertainment for at least a little while.

 

"Oh goody." Missy said as she trotted to the guest bedroom.

 

"Well, remember I'm here too." Fire said.

"Oh, hi dad." Starburst said. Fire was eating some cake.

Siri looked up to Starburst and took some time to think before smiling. "Well, I don't use spells much so I haven't learned many. Though I can teleport many places," Doing that while she spoke and then stopped. "do a double illusion," Then there was two of them, walking in a mirror format before one jumped on the other and waved a bit. "and then I can combine a quadra shot bolt from both me and this shadow form to shoot a really fast and explosive beam! I'm not going to show you that in here since it could blow this room apart, but maybe outside we could~"

 

On the toilet she sat, relieving herself and made a funny moaning sound while doing it. "Ohhh yeaaah... I think the last time I went was 10 hours ago, so there must be a lot..~"

Starburst clapped a little.

"That was really impressive. Teleportation is a really difficult spell, I can teleport at least two people successfully, but, beyond that is a bit of a gamble." Starburst said, he got up out of his bed and jumped off it. "I have a cool spell to show you." He charged his horn and used his magic to make a small pair of wings grow on Sirius, but felt tired afterwards.

Starburst clapped a little.

"Huh, wings?" She said before they began to flap a little and lift her up. "Alicorn, yeah!" Then Siri began to fly around a little bit before nearly crashing into a wall. "Wooaaah, I might need some training before this since I've never had wings before. This is temporary right?"

Grand sighed with relief. "Just give me a moment, I'll fix it up" she said before grabbing some cleaning supplies and closing the door. She looked in the corner at the blood and simply walked over, beginning to clean it

 

Caramel giggled. "I don't think performing tough spells is a great idea right after surgery"

"Yeah of course it is, they're not like my wings, they're sort of fragile too." Starburst said. "It's an unstable spell so I'm surprised it worked this well." Starburst chuckled. "I'll be fine, don't worry about me." Starburst hesitated for a moment.

"Should I even do this? Is it smart? Will she even say yes? Only one way to find out." Starburst thought.

"Yeah of course it is, they're not like my wings, they're sort of fragile too." Starburst said. "It's an unstable spell so I'm surprised it worked this well." Starburst chuckled. "I'll be fine, don't worry about me." Starburst hesitated for a moment.

"Should I even do this? Is it smart? Will she even say yes? Only one way to find out." Starburst thought.

"Lucky shot maybe?" Sirius said happily before getting the hang of gliding around the room. "Sometimes my quad bolt spell doesn't work since I have to channel the magic 4 ways through 2 hidden and 2 visible horns. It's hard, but that's just how magic is wouldn't you say~?"

"I guess it's like teleporting multiple ponies with a spell, you're not just performing one spell, you're performing one for each person you're teleporting, it can be very taxing." Starburst said, using a spell to make the wings disappear. "Those aren't safe right now."

She fell to the ground softly, shaking her head a little. "Uuf! Yeah pretty much. Like I told miss Caramel, the doctor said I actually have two horns inside me, but one is hidden which is why it shows one. Ponies say my magic is very strong but it's much harder to control from what I've noticed. So channeling 4 different ways is hard, very hard!"

Steel had been wondering around when he realized gebhadnt givin Stephan his gift " I wonder where he's at" steel said to himself as he walked around aimlessly looking for Stephan since he had literally no idea where to look for him

Starburst turned to Caramel, "There's something I want to do, remember the lake we went to? When we first met. Let's go there." Starburst had one chance to do this, it would be now. "That is if the doctor's will let me out of the hospital for a little while."

Stephan simply shook his head at the mare's theory. 

"Not unless we really try." He said. "Equestria has been cured of the outbreak for a about half a year now. In times like this, Equestria needs ponies who are willing to rise to the occasion and help out in whatever way they can. That's where me and my friends come in. Without them, I wouldn't be here at all. Without their help, Equestria wouldn't even enter the rebuilding stage it's in now." He said with a slight smile. "In fact, if you plan to stay here for a little while, maybe you should acknowledge your presence with them." He gestured.

Caramel smiled. "Sure, I'm sure they won't mind just a quick little trip to the lake, we won't do anything too life threatening" she said teasingly

 

Grand finally finished cleaning up and left the room. "Alright Missy, you can come see the crib now, hopefully you like it. It's quite old but it's still standing"

Missy walked into the room.

"Oooh. It looks very nice. Kinda looks like....." Missy remembered something, back a long time ago. "....looks like the one I had when I was a filly, back before I lived in Ponyville." Missy now had a distant expression. A tear fell from her eye.

 

Starburst put on his new cape and his hat.

"You ready? After you." Starburst said.

Since the couple was leaving, Siri decided to get ready and go back home.

Why, this little sneaky girl decided to spy on the couple from afar to see where they were headed off to. The lake was blocked off by some trees which would make a good hiding spot for her, so she walked outside and faked like she was going to the house before silently teleporting to a safe location. "Hm.. I wonder where they will be going?"

"Alright let's get going!" Caramel said happily as she pulled in her coat and her toque (seriously, what else do you call it?) before wrapping up her scarf and apskipping through the door

 

"Us something wrong Missy? If you don't like the crib we can repaint it, or get a new one" she said, concerned

"No, I'm fine, just a memory, that I thought was gone." Missy said. "My parents abandoned me remember? Because I was an alicorn."

 

Starburst watched as Caramel left through the door. He pulled the box from underneath his bed and took it with him, he hid it under his cape and before following Caramel, he looked to Glint and said. "Wish me luck."

"Oh, well.... Would you like to talk about it? It seems to be something I've been doing a lot anyways" she said, looking at the bed. She couldn't remember the last time she changed the sheets

 

Caramel smiled and skipped along happily. "Are you doing okay? Just let me know if you can't keep up" she said with a bubbly laugh

"No, it's something I've moved on from, besides, it's easier telling myself that Twilight is my real mother, because besides my children, I couldn't love anypony more than her." Missy said, tears coming from her eyes, which she then wiped away. "It's a lovely crib, thank you." Missy said, hugging Grand. "Thanks for being my friend too."

 

"I can keep up, I just have to walk slower right now." Starburst said. "We'll be there soon."

Grand smiled happily and hugged her back. She figured the last time she washed them was when Zeta was still here... the Cheque! Grand remembered it suddenly. "Oh my goodness, it completely slipped my mind. I have something to show you Missy"

 

Caramel smiled and walked back to him, nuzzling his neck. "I won't leave you behind, though I could totally leave you in the dust" she giggled

"That's debatable." Starburst laughed, they reached the lake. He sat down beside it. "This here, is the place of the first time I saved you from bandits, first of many. You know I would die for you, I mean, I have...."

 

"What's gotten you so excited? I'm afraid to see what it is," Missy giggled a bit.

Light Streak flew up to Stephan.

"Dude, you know that lake with the time bandits?" He asked him. "Well, Caramel and Starburst are there... and he has a ring. I think he's going to propose. Let's go spy on them and see if he actually does it."

Stephan sighed. "That's wrong, man... but, I guess.  He backed out of it before. Let's see if he succeeds." Stephan and Light jetted into the forest and hid behind a few bushes close to the pond.

"Yeah, but you arent allowed to do that again, we discussed that already" Caramel said, nuzzling him. "At least now I dont need to be carried everywhere"

 

Grand smiled. "I hope you take it better than I did" She said, though the thought of Zeta being gone still made her feel sad. "Alright, are you ready?" she asked, hiding the cheque behind her back

Starburst was shaking nervously. He looked at Caramel, grasping the box with his magic.

"I love you, more than anyone could ever know, or feel." Starburst said, eyes closed.

"Come on, you can do this." Starburst thought.

"I guess what I'm wanting to say is....." Starburst drew a blank, he couldn't say anything or move.

He started breathing very quickly. Before he passed out, he brought the box out, and opened it.

"Will you m....." Starburst collapsed.

"What I speak of is reality, not idealism," was Astrolabe's rejoinder. "Think as you like, but this is just the beginning. Extermination of the reanimated populace and the process of reconstructions would take decades before returning into a more orderly state. They outnumber us, and if we are unable to eradicate more than we can lose, it will stay. The neuro-infection has stayed for a good amount of time.

 

"And as you know, completely killing a virus is hard enough. Killing more than a billion infected ponies? Near impossible." She took a short look outside her window, observing the concrete walls and trapped town. "Now I am not saying that we should attempt to achieve this highly unlikely goal. I am just stating that we should perhaps see this from a more realistic point of view. That was what kept me alive - realism."

 

She picked up her rifle again, rubbing the wooden stock. Astrolabe then detached the bolt mechanism from the gun, separating its parts, standing up to take a towel from the lavatory. Promptly she wipes the insides of the bolt. She finally continued. "It took me an entire thirty eight years to come to an ultimate realization, that fear was not real. That it was just pure imagination, irrationally created by ignorance and the unknown. Fear is its own virus. Even deadlier than a neuro-virus.

 

"Don't be misguided by my words. Death is a very real possibility. If you don't understand the harsh reality of surviving, that outcome will come to pass."

 

Astrolabe slid the firing pin back into the bolt chamber. "I have experienced that harsh reality, and seen ponies die, and I did nothing to assist them. I just run away, push them off into the hoard of the reanimated, let them die, knowing I could have done something to help them. How selfish of me."

 

Astrolabe grabbed the radio recorder on the transparent glass desk. "Therefore, I decided to repay the deceased and my crimes against ponykind. I recorded everything that I had done during the Apocalypse. Well, not quite. I am far from finishing this oral history documentary. Primary information, is it not?"
