Cara stared at the thug, not flinching in the slightest when the figure from before appeared out of nowhere. She watched, quite shocked, as he easily dealt with the thugs. "Um, thanks. Sorry about that, I guess I shouldn't have gone out of my apartment." She said, feeling pretty dumb for going out alone in the middle of the night. "Why were those guys after you anyway?"

Steven put his hands up "I'm not doing anything wrong I seen that guy on the fire escape so I went for him he shot me luckily I wear this bulletproof suit but since he left I'll be leaving " Steven said as he slowly stood and limped to the window and climbed out

"I owe you an explanation, but not here. Let's get somewhere safe, you stay on my ass, alright." Stewart turned to see someone with a gun, he pushed Cara out of the way and he got hit in the shoulder, he took out his dagger and threw it at the thug, hitting him in the throat. "Come on, I've put you in enough danger."

 

"Stephan? What's going on?" Dash asked.

Caras eyes widened. "Oh my god, that guy just shot you! Someone just died!" She said, incredibly confused as to what was going on. "Where are we going? I need to tell my sister I'm alright" she said, more rambling than anything right now. "Wait, you just got shot, you need to get help!"

The flashbangs went off and temporarily blinded Stephan, giving the criminal the perfect time to escape. When the light cleared off, he regained his composure and noticed that the criminal was gone.

"Hey! Not cool!" He then turned to Dash. "There was a guy armed to the teeth that just passed through, and now he's making a run for it. I'm going to try and tail him. Stay here and make sure that both you and Sirius stay safe." Stephan strapped the gun to his back and vaulted out the window, pursuing the criminal. Stephan's innate speed was drastically decreased as a human, but he was still fast enough to tail this guy.

"Don't worry, it's just a flesh wound, I'll take care of it later." Stewart said. "Just go home, where you'll be safe. I don't want to catch you out here at night again." Stewart ran back to the apartment, bumping into Stephan.
"I need my gun back. Where did he go?" Stewart asked.

 

Just then, the police started arriving. He grabbed the gun and began climbing a building, and running away.

She walked into her room and noticed the figure there in her window. She ran up to it. "Oh, good your still here. What is going on? You have to get that arm checked out!"

Stephan lost the criminal within a moments notice and stopped out of breath.

"Who was that guy? And who was that masked man?" He asked himself. He then made his way back to the apartment complex and saw the figure waiting outside. "Who are you?" He asked the figure.

He ripped a bit of the fabric from his cloak and tied it around his injured arm.

"There. Itt's taken care of." Stewrart said in his gruff voice, "Anyways, call me Watcher, I protect people like you from people like them, so any questions? Just ask me, I'll try to answer." 

 

Dash ran (hobbled) out of the room and checked on Sirius.

"Sirius, are you OK? Are you hurt? Did anything hurt you?" Dash asked, checking her for any injuries.

Stephan wrote a quick note for this figure to meet him at the alleyway near the apartment complex at 3 AM. He then jumped back into his apartment and went into his bedroom and took out his Ghost vigilante suit and mask. He then began strapping it on himself.

"Do you have any idea what you just said?" Stewart said. "Look, over the next few days, I'll keep an eye on them. Just try to lay low for now." Stewart said before jumping out of the window again, he noticed a note on the wall when he got down.

He looked around and decided to go, he would hide from the writer of the note. He got to the location and waited.

"But I really do want to help!`She called down to him, knowing he was likely out of range. She huffed and closed the window. "I Guess I'll go to bed then" She said, a little irritated she couldnt go out and help. She layed in her bed, but found herself checking the window often, just in case he did come back

Stephan was now the Ghost. He vaulted back outside his window and down to the alleyway. He then found a vigilante, armed to the teeth and in a costume. Just like him.

"Hello, stranger. I'm The Ghost." He said, approaching him. "Don't attack I don't pose as a threat to you."

Stewart turned to see him, he pointed a gun at Stephan.

"I hear you wanted to speak to me, I can't just trust you now can I?" Stewart said, the bottom half of his face covered by a mask. "I have thugs, chasing after me, trying to find me, to kill me.......now." Stewart pointed the gun up at his head. "What do you want?"

 

Dash picked her up and put her in hers and Stephan's room.

Siri looked over with a stern face, cocking it sideways. "Of course i'm fine Dashie! I heard some things going on downstairs, but i'm fine. What was happening? Do you know?"

 I had little consideration of what was happening to them at the time, and I aimed at my chosen target – one of the stallions – and shot. My rifle cracked, and a large, explosive-like flash came out of the muzzle. The kick of the rifle was able to violently knock back my entire body.

 

The shot seemed to miss. No one of the ponies fell down from the bullet, and there was no blood, only panic. All of them jumped, and ran out of the warehouse. The mare stumbled as the other two ran off. Then, almost if we were coordinated, Mjolna shot her own rifle in an organized interval. One of them landed on the capped stallion's shoulder; another landed on the mare's back leg. Mjolna aimed again to shoot at the mare, but she darted off, despite her wound. 

 

"Good job," Mjolna congratulated. She didn't realize that I missed the pony's body. Possibly she was too focused herself to be noticing something like that. "We can celebrate driving the brutes away by having a good drink!"

 

Soon, my eyes wandering off to the door, I noticed that the infected were coming in. "Mjolna! The door!"

 

Mjolna turned around to the front gates, and cursed (the eighth time so far). "The sound we caused from the commotion must have attracted them!" Mjolna deducted. "And the traps! The brutes must have messed them up when they entered!"

 

We immediately shot into the undead crowd. Lacking the skill for sharpshooting, I simply shot randomly. Mjolna, having the better experience, made continuous shots, all at the head. It would have made sense – after all, the infection would have been at the brain for the virus to technically control the mind in a reanimated state. 

 

But our firepower wasn't enough to take down the crowd. Instead, it was growing larger and larger. Hopelessly, we ran up to the second floor and continued firing, setting up futile barricade and defense points. Eventually, Mjolna and I were surrounded by the horde. 

 

There was no choice. "We have to leave! It's being overrun!" I shouted.

 

Mjolna was unsettled. She was most likely the one affected most by her loss of her so-called "supply base". Her organized interval firing was lost, and Mjolna began shooting as fast as she could, hastily reloading when she used up her fill of the magazine. The fight was a lost cause, and I stopped her. "We have to go! We can't stay!"

Stephan's expression remained the same. At least, anyone could assume. He entire face was obscured by his mask. Though, under the mask, his cocky, cheesy personality was gone. He was now the exact opposite.

"I want to help you." Stephan said. "That guy you were chasing earlier passed through. I want to return the favor by paying him a visit. Perhaps we could help each other out."

Stewart thought about it for a moment, he seemed tough enough. He lowered the gun and put it away.

"Name's Watcher, I think I know where the guy is, I just need to get back to my base to be sure." Stewart said. "Follow me, and try to keep up." Stewart quickly climbed up the alley to the rooftops above. "Hurry up."

Sirius shook her head and giggled a bit. "No sounds. I was sleeping happily until I heard the power go out. Oh, the power! Do you know why that happened miss Dash? Was there a storm somewhere, so it shut off the power? I hope it wasnt.." She hugged her shortly after.
