Equestria Space Organization (OOC)

If something like this already exists, I didn't know

If this is a resounding success, I might translate it into fan-fiction!

Equestria has made an enormous breakthrough. First conceived when somepony replaced a firework's detonating part with more fuel and it didn't come back down, study teams have realized what made that happen, and through many experiments, have gotten more complex rockets into low orbit, such as ones that were actually made to do that. Then, the study teams realized that they might be able to get ponies into orbit. And so began the intensive study and engineering organization that would make the study team's visions come true, the ESO- the Equestria Space Organization.

 

Now, brave ponies are volunteering to take part in this ongoing pursuit of knowledge, in hopes of being able to be with the stars, high above Equestria.

Rules: 

1. Use common sense and obey standard RP rules (things like no godmodding or overpowering)
2. Please make things be possible with regular physics. Here are some examples: It is not possible to "swim" through space. You can't spontaneously fall out of orbit. etc.
3. Try to use proper spelling, grammar, etc.
4. Also, try to make things logical. Unless it's Pinkie.
5. The DM (me) can do whatever, but I won't abuse that! 
6. If someone disobeys the rules, try not to be a "backseat moderator". In other words, try not to do what authority will.
7. If something happens to your character that makes them unable to interact with the story (stranded, dead, or otherwise), you may fill a new role. But, if your character somehow comes back into the story, you can either fill both your old and new roles, or have someone take either role. 
8. You can post any comments, suggestions, requests, etc. in this OOC thread.
9. You are allowed to use strong language, but please don't use NSFW content or suggestive content.
10. No aliens/ extraterrestrial life. Just please. However, there can be some sort of "alien artifact".
11. Please refrain from overusing certain things.

There are no joining specifications. You can join whether you're new, experienced, or in between.

Also, just in case you're curious about why I wanted to do this, it was inspired by a machinima (or however you spell it) series made in Kerbal Space program called "Harbinger Class- KSS Spirit of Kerbin" (or something like that) made by a youtuber called Macey Dean.

This looks good, I would love to join, been looking at RPs, not many have room and I'm surprised this one does! My OC is Al Capony, my avatar, if alicorns aren't allowed, he's a pegasus, he's a master of disguise, he can even stop his heartbeat and be disguised as a corpse!

Someone like this could be a spy of sorts.

Maybe he could be the guy that leaks all the crazy info to the public.

Or he could be a sort of "anti-spy" for the ESO.

Or maybe there could be more ideas. I'm free to bounce around new ideas even though I'm not planning anymore.

@Avolon: Alright, I'll let you in, but this'll be hard to implement in the story.

I'm not too sure what positions get action. I guess either an astronaut, or an astronaut trainer, because they might get some action.

But, I'm open to suggestions.

 

@Eragonrde12: Sure, here are some positions that seem good for the character;

Scientist, engineer, rocket builder, astronaut

But, of course and as of always, I'm open to any other suggestions.

I think she would do well as an astronaut, I made the character just for the astronaut position...

Also, I'm thinking that Star Streak could do as a trainer, because she has a horn and wings, making a trainer for unicorns and pegasi. The broken horn won't be a problem, because the only spells that a unicorn astronaut would probably need are levitation spells. And, I guess there could be some action if a suit leaks in a depressurized container or if malfunctions happen that endanger trainees. It's happened before at NASA.

KSP is awesome i like landing the astronauts on the fun moon and leaving them there (and occasionally launching the odd rocket at them)

 

and i am okay with the trainer part as long as i get to go to space (SSSSSSSSSSSSSPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEEE) lol

Alright, I'm thinking for Star Streak, part time trainer, part time astronaut. And maybe if we get a space station she could be stationed there so that the training is more real than the land training facilities.

 

Also, I'm working on some (badly drawn) concept art for things like the suits.

Alright, I've made some concept art for the suits and their configurations. You might need to zoom in to see it clearly though.

Oh, also, Daring, if you aren't good at RPing and don't have an OC, you don't have to participate in the RP. You could still help us out by giving suggestions and talk in this OOC thread.

I don't think RPs have concept art   Yet I might be wrong. I think that we would make up the stuff that you drew as we go... idc, you are the DM.

I read the OC, and I think that you were right! This OC is perfect for some roles that still need filling. Here are some ideas I had, although I'm all ears for suggestions:

Engineer, design, mission planning, technician, mechanic, etc.
