Pondah took a series of deep breaths to calm himself down. After he had stopped shaking and felt calm, Pondah told his story:

 

"I was given a bag of 500 bits by BR0N-3 but something felt wrong. After a small amount of maths, I discovered every single bit was a fake. I needed to find a wayof disposing of the bits without getting either myself or BR0N-3 in trouble with the authorities. So I decided to place the bag in a random hotel room so the next pony would find them and turn them in, taking all suspicion away from me or BR0N-3. However, after gaining access to this room, I fell asleep on the bed. When the door unlocked, I hid under the bed. When you then crashed onto the bed, I was forced to shuffle back and some rebel threads caused me to sneeze. And that's how we ended up in this situation.

 

I hope you understand."

Bubble blinked. She had heard what he said, but not really taken in any of it. something about bits and threads.

 

"You... under..."

 

She blinked and tried to smile. She always tried to smile. This time it didn't work though. Her mind needed time to catch up before she was going to be able to say or do anything that made sense.

 

She sat in silence for a few seconds, occasionally opening her mouth as if to say something before thinking better of it.

 

"You were going to leave them here...?" She finally managed to say indignantly with a slight sniffle as realization hit. "... and get me in trouble? What did I do to you?"

'Quick say something! Preferably the truth. That's my best bet.'

 

​Pondah sighed deeply. "I didn't know you'd be taking this room. I didn't even know you were going here! You've done nothing to me all day. The only bad pony is me. Out of coincidence, I picked the room you'd be staying in. I don't want to cause you trouble."

 

'This isn't going to work. Think! What would make her happy? She loves to feel good... make her feel good about herself! It's a risky play but it could save your flank.'

 

"Bubble. I want... no, I need to thank you. You may not know it, but you've achieved a great thing today."

"I know!" She said, slightly more stable for hearing that Pondah wasn't trying to set her up as a fraud or con artist. "Wait, what?"

 

'A great thing'? She'd avoided being on the train that crashed but that wasn't really an achievement...

 

She had learned a new word but that still want much of an achievement...

 

Made a poor judgment of character on a first impression leading to a case of mistaken motives and causing her to act out of character? Still not exactly 'a great thing'...

 

"I don't get it." She said flatly, ear flicking several times as she thought.

"Bubble, earlier, in the club, do you remember what happened after I said 'Not as excitable as you'? If you can't, I smiled. That is the amazing thing. That was the first time I smiled. Ever. You got this reclusive, awkward, frightened pony and got him to smile. You have done more for me than anypony I've met. You've taught me and shown me the perks of happiness and taught me that, sometimes, it's good to be on the silly side."

"Bubble, you have a great talent for brightening the lives of those around you. You know what your talent is..."

 

Pondah turns sideways and moves his mane, revealing his Blank Flank.

"I'm not silly!" Bubble said, mostly to herself, before continuing as if the slight had never been said. "Uhm... You never smile? But isn't that kind of... sad? Why wouldn't you smile? Whats wrong with smiling?"

 

Well that explained why he was under a bench. Actually, it didn't, but Bubble was happy to but just about any crazy behavior down to not smiling: it made sense to her at any rate. She bounced slightly in place, some of the perpetualy pent up energy seeping into conversation.

 

"I don't get why ponies cant be happy all the time, there no reason not to be!" She said brightly. "Well... usually anyway." She added, remembering her ordeal outside.

Pondah sighed, a mild frown entering his face. "I have a reason to never smile. It hurts to think about it but you deserve to know...

 

I was not wanted as a foal. A earth pony born to two pegasi who believed they were the superior race. I lived on the ground and was rarely visited by my parents who stayed in the clouds. The hated the fact I wasn't sporty and gave me no other options. Finally, when I was 7, I was abandoned. I stayed inside for years, reading and seeking knowledge, something I knew I could do. It comforted me and I gained intelligence. But do you know what the effect of being completely left by your parents is? I can never get a job as I am not officially educated. I could never move to the next level of my school life as my parents couldn't and wouldn't sign me on...

 

Bubble, I never smile because I've never needed to. I've been living in isolation for 9 years. This is the first time I've had a true holiday. It still hurts me. I can hear my father in my mind sometimes, mocking me, telling me I've failed. And it cuts me deeply."

"You're here now though." Bubble answered him simply. "And your not a ghost. Thats got to be a good thing! And you know me!"

 

She raised a hoof to her muzzle thoughtfully. Her ear didn't twitch: this wasn't confusing, just different.

 

"You cant keep living in the past, dwelling on past losses and mistakes, wondering 'what if' is the fastest way to drive yourself crazy. You've got to live in the present: the past is the only part of time we cant change no matter how much we try so there no point in trying to live in a future that cant exist."

 

She blinked again. What was she talking about? Oh! Pondah, he was sad about his family!

 

"I don't really know about that though. My parents thought I'd be good at making stuff and I wasn't. My Sister was though! I'm just good at... well, nothing really. But I don't care! I just made them laugh." She said. "And broke a lot of things. I break things a lot. I fix them sometimes though!"

Richard finally entered his hotel room, at the top floor. It was incredible! It was one of the biggest hotel rooms he'd seen! He walked over to the bed and collapsed. He saw his flight case and a record player on his night stand, and thought he'd play one of his songs, the most relaxing of them, almost romantic, he cranked the volume up to the highest it could go. Almost falling asleep then and there.

 

(OOC: Maybe this room should be above Bubble's so Pondah and Bubble have some romantic music playing.)

Sunny blushed a bit as Candy leaned on her, but didn't mind and let her be. She beckoned Pink Mist over, thinking she hadn't heard her, but froze and broke out into a full blush as she heard Candy say "You're perfect."

Her cheeks blazed, but she couldn't help but smile at the statement. She wasn't sure what to think, or how to respond. Luckily, she didn't have to, as Pink Mist didn't seem to notice, or if she did, she didn't seem to care, and walked up to them and spoke.

Sunny led Candy, following Pink Mist to the bar. 

"Actually, we've both been dancing for a while. I think we're both a little tired. The, um, club should be closing soon anyway. I-i think i'm going to head home. Candy looks like she's going to fall asleep at any minute, so I'll walk her home first,"

She turned to Candy. "I-if that's okay with you," she added.

Candy was half-drooped over, she simply looked up at Sunny and gave a tired hiccup in agreeance. She nodded her head 'yes,' to make sure.

 

The two made it back out to the street, and Candy was again leaning against Sunny as they walked. She couldn't believe how beautiful Sunny was. Her radiant coat made the night sky seem like it shined in bright daylight. She quivered nervously. "Can I-uhm, can, -Can I stay with you, tonight?" She blushed. She wanted to spend as much time with this new mare as she could.

Sunny blushed at Candy's question. What was with her? she usually didn't blush. Looking at Candy, she smiled. She knew exactly why she'd been blushing so much. She was falling for the mare.

"Sure, i-if you want to, I don't mind," she said, smiling gently at the exhausted pony. She really didn't mind; even though she'd only known Candy for a day, she liked her and wanted to spend more time with her.

Candy let out a small yawn, then an exhausted giggle. "Thanks." She smiled, "You're sweet." She blushed, and almost facehoofed. "I- I mean, uh- that's sweet of you!" She giggled again, and nuzzled Sunny's neck. She gave a tired sigh now, "You're so soft, and warm." She couldn't stop giggling at what was going on. This is the closest she had ever gotten to having a relationship, and she wanted moments like these to last forever.

Sunny giggled goodnaturedly at Candy's stammering. it was cute. She blushed again as the mare nuzzled her neck, but she had long since stopped being embarrassed. Now, she was blushing because she was pleasantly surprised at what Candy was saying. 

She smiled as a thought formed in her head.

I think she likes me back.

They reached her apartment and she levitated her key into the lock, opening the door.

Once inside the apartment, Candy simply flopped lazily down onto the floor. "I can uhm...I can sleep here, if you want." She frowned, thinking Sunny might've just gone straight to that. "I mean, I wanna sleep with you-" She cut herself off quickly and blushed in surprise at herself and what she just said, "I mean, I want to sleep next to you- I mean, close to you. I- I don't- I don't want to leave you alone." This time, she facehoofed in embarrassment, and looked down in disappointment, "Should I just leave now?"

Starshine was practically prancing in the middle of the deserted road. During his stay on the MusicMare, he had netted himself at least seven hundred bits' worth of 'lost and found' goods. He even found an abandoned cellphone near the exit. He knew that it was not exactly the right thing to do, but he had since given up trying to catch up with the rules. Finders keepers, that's what he believed. He sung a random song to himself while trotting back to his previous spot on the tree in the park. There were a couple of angry stares directed at him, not that he cared.

 

"Moving through my heart like the wind, I come alive as I breathe in it. Love is in the air!~"

Sunny Dew watched, confused, as Candy flopped on the floor. "You don't have to sleep on the flo-"

She was cut off. She had been about to suggest letting her sleep on the bed, and she would take the couch, or even share the bed- she had no dirty thoughts, she just wanted to be close to Candy-, but Candy spoke first.

Sunny blushed in surprise at what she said but gave the mare a comforting smile.

"No, it's okay," she said. "I don't want you to go away."

Candy smiled defensively, still embarrassed by all she said, and still blushing more and more. She laughed nervously, "Would you...can I take you to dinner tomorrow? I mean after we've slept and all, well...duh, I mean...I like you." She nervously poked her hooves together.

Sunny was speechless, taken by surprise even though she should have seen it coming.

Candy likes me? Yes Sunny, now talk, you're just staring at her and probably making her feel uncomfortable.

Sunny blushed profusely as she tried to regain her voice

"I-I-I... I-i like you t-too," she stammered, glad to admit it and so happy that Candy felt the same way. "and I'd love to go for dinner with you tomorrow." She smiled at the mare and offered a hoof to help her up.

 

 

In the moonlit apartment, Sunny still shone like the sun, especially with how she was blushing. Candy was blushing just as much and was nearly speechless. She took Sunny's hoof and got up, where they both seemed to lead eachother to the bed. It was slightly uncomfortable for Candy, as she had never had the feeling of sleeping next to another pony. Once they were both under the covers, Candy simply snuggled up closely and savored the warmth of Sunny's body. She let out a squeaky yawn, "See you tomorrow, Sunshine..." She said as she drifted off to sleep.

Sunny Dew smiled and savored the feeling of being close to Candy. Her yawning caused Sunny to yawn as well. "Goodnight, Candy."  she murmured as she nuzzled the mare's neck. 

Sunshine. Candy had called her Sunshine.

She liked the name and repeated it over and over in her head, smiling to herself as she closed her eyes and nodded off to sleep.

Candy awoke, still cuddled up to the other mare, it's like she hadn't moved at all all night. With the sun shone through the window, Candy thought Sunny looked even more angelic, and beautiful.

 

She lightly started rocking Sunny awake, and spoke softly, "Good morning, Sunshine." She paused for a moment, "Is it even alright that I call you that?" Her voice squeaked at the end of the sentence.

Sunny woke up in a daze, looking at Candy's face.

"Morning," she mumbled, half-awake. She sat up, rubbed her bright blue eyes, and looked at Candy again. "Of course it's fine, I like the name." 

She smiled and silently added, I kind of wish I had a name to call her. 

((Possibly last post of the night, I'm supposed to be asleep XD. Oh and by the way this is the first time I've actually had a character be in a romance. i mean I've been in Romance RPs but they've mosty died before my character could fall for someone...))

At this, Candy couldn't help but giggle. "Good." She grinned, "I was afraid it would sound a bit too...dorky, coming from me." She smiled defensively. Now she hopped out of the bed, "I'll start breakfast if you want, that is, assuming you have something good for breakfast." She giggled and winked, then trotting off to the kitchen.

Rut-Light awoke slowly at first but soon got out of bed and looked at his bedside clock and noticed it read 5:19 am (i'll change it if you want).  "Gah, I hate mornings well not really but just when I have to wake up."  He trotted out of his room and into his bathroom; in hopes of taking a quick shower and rushing to his work at the train yard.  By the end of his shower it was 5:23 am, he dried himself off, grabbed his work I.D and headed for the train yard.
