"I'll find her again and hey, it can't just be all about me. You're the star so let me try and show you a good time." Kaz pleaded to the stallion, still mesmerized by the fact that he had become quite close to somepony he had idolized for what felt like eons. Kaz smiled back, completely bewitched, not even noticing that Bass' smile was false. "Let's get out of here." he said, in a last ditch attempt to steal the stallion into his own privacy.

"Oh, alright. I guess, if you're sure." Bass said, visibly seeming relieved. He looked around, and began to follow the white unicorn out of the club. He looked up to him as they walked, and decided to add, "Thanks for being so cool tonight dude. I don't normally act like this, just the stress has been building for a while..." As they exited, he continues, "So where did you have in mind we go?"

Richard rushed out the door, he said that while he was drunk? "I definitely need to stop drinking so much," he said. He noticed the unicorn stallion from before and yelled, "HEY, WAIT UP!"

Kaz turned and faced the bronze pony in glee. He hadn't been called 'cool' before, especially not be someone of Bass's caliber. "Just... Don't worry about it, Bassie. If you want to talk then I'll always be here... for you." 

'WHAT ARE YOU DOING KAZ?! You can't just start giving someone you hardly know a nickname like that. You're coming on too strong, breathe, regain composure and change the situation.' Kaz's mind was screaming so much at him all at once. "We can go anywhere you know. There's this fast food place ran by a Pegasus I used to know called Hot Wings... Either that or... We could go back to my Pla..." And with this, a drunken stallion raced towards them.

"What do you want?" Kaz turned sharply and shrieked. "Oh god, are you going to mug us? Here, take these bit's, just don't hurt us!" Kaz threw his last remaining bit's at the surprised looking pony and raced off with Bass Clef into the dark night.

"Why would I do that? I have all the bits anypony could need, I just had to get out of there, you guys didn't see what happened did you?" Richard replied. "Judging by your appearance, you guys had a bit of a rough time yourself, if you don't mind, we should hang out some time, you guys look busy."

Kaz turned and faced the bronze pony in glee. He hadn't been called 'cool' before, especially not be someone of Bass's caliber. "Just... Don't worry about it, Bassie. If you want to talk then I'll always be here... for you."

Bass continued following the now running unicorn next to him, and contemplated his words. "Bassie? He thought to himself. Either he's super friendly, or he may go bot-" He cut his train of thought off, and looked up to the pony running next to him. "I'm not very hungery. So I guess we can chill at your place for a bit, or something. Maybe I can give you a sneak peak of some of my newest tracks before I release them. Sound cool?" As he spoke, he panted. After all, running and talking at the same time isn't normally something Bass did often.

Still breathless, but not from the galloping he just did, Kaz breathily expelled "Oh gosh! Urm... That'd be awesome!" The corners of Kaz's lips upturned into a sweet half-smile. At this point, his mind was alive with contemplation. Dare I do it? No, I can't... I have to though. Kaz began to slow his pace and Bass followed his lead. He edged closer to him. God, Kaz. What are you doing?!

Bass slowed to maintain pace with Kaz, and asked back, "Getting to your place? Well, first I should probably stop by my motel room, and pick up my saddlebag of disks and my portable mixer, then I suppose we can just walk to your place where I can show you the demos, if that sounds cool with you." Bass, also noticed the excitement in Kaz's eyes which caused him to smile a bit, but didn't notice that he'd gotten closer.

"Well we can head there now then swoop around to mine. Is it far from here?" Kaz couldn't wait any longer. He took off his tie, and undid his top shirt button. Richard thought he'd enter the club again, it was boring outside, thought he'd try to find a mare. 'Alright, not gonna get wasted this time, gonna stay chill, talk to some mares, do what you always do, show them your stuff on the dance floor, maybe hit on them some, don't embarrass yourself again,' he thought. Without wasting anytime, he hopped back in the club, and spotted Bubble. 'I still know nothing about her, I ought to talk to her while I'm not completely wasted,' he thought, and walked over to her, looking up and more confident than usual.

Bass chuckled at the pony following him, but it was barely audible. They made their way down the street without another word- his motel really was that close. "Well, we're here, I'll just grab my stuff and be right back." Bass said with a half smile. This night really did seem to improve once he got away from the crowded club. Odd, normally it's the other way around. He trotted quickly into the motel, and threw on his saddlebag, and put the mixer in there as well. Hmph, I guess we'll just have to see what happens, man."

"Huh, would you look at that...?"

 

Starshine was wandering around at the dead midnight as usual, and he found himself interested in the MusicMare building. He had been sitting under a nearby shadowy corner and observed the ponies who come and go during the night. He could vaguely recognize some mares from the cafe earlier, the two stallions with the same bass clef cutie mark, and even Pondah. The music from the inside was ear-splitting, to put it bluntly. The bouncer at the door hadn't stopped keeping an eye open on his presence, which Starshine couldn't help but to found it amusing. Not everyday he was seen as a threat.

 

The two bass clef stallions soberly left the MusicMare. It was kind of weird for one to left a club sober. While the bouncer was busy with a random drunk, Starshine made his move. He cloaked himself invisible and slipped through the bouncer, leaving behind a simple illusion of himself behind to throw the bouncer off his track. Inside, he quickly snatched the nearest drink and teleported himself onto one of the beams on the ceiling. He nearly toppled aside from the sudden shift in location.

 

"Whew! Now this is fun." Starshine mumbled as he observed the dancing drunk ponies below him. From this distance he could easily snatch random snacks and drinks from knocked out ponies with his telekinesis. He giggled as he sipped his newly stolen drink, which vaguely tasted of marmalade.

Bass laughed once again, this time at the stallion's playfulness, and kept up pace behind him as they went along toward Kaz's apartment. The whole time, Bass was thinking to himself, "Well, buddy, never thought I would be in a situation like this. I think this dude likes me, like not in a fanboy way, but more than that or something... or maybe he is just nervous... He did say how much of a fan he is... Hmph, I guess we'll just have to see what happens, man."

Stood outside the grey brick building where Kaz resided always reminded him of his home in Trotland. There was a sense of sadness to every building this color but something about seeing it tonight assured Kaz of his happiness. Kaz used what remaining energy he had to conjure his keys in front of him but the spell suddenly wore off and they dropped in front of him. Whether due to tiredness or on purpose, the keys to the tightly locked barrier that separated Kaz from what seemed like his wildest dream, had landed in close proximity to Bass' left hoof. Kaz was now shaking noticeably as he put his hoof out towards Bass' and towards the keys.

Stood outside the grey brick building where Kaz resided always reminded him of his home in Trotland. There was a sense of sadness to every building this color but something about seeing it tonight assured Kaz of his happiness. Kaz used what remaining energy he had to conjure his keys in front of him but the spell suddenly wore off and they dropped in front of him. Whether due to tiredness or on purpose, the keys to the tightly locked barrier that separated Kaz from what seemed like his wildest dream, had landed in close proximity to Bass' left hoof. Kaz was now shaking noticeably as he put his hoof out towards Bass' and towards the keys.

Just then, Bass bent down as well, and moved to retrieve the fallen keys for his White counterpart, when their hooves met, and he looked up right into Kaz's eyes. Quickly, he pulled his hoof back and mumbled, "Oh, I see you got them, heh. My bad." He turned away slightly, showing the ever slightest sign of embarrassment.

Lightning shrugged at the question. He really wanted to be in the hotel with Bubble, but...maybe the other ponies that liked her wouldn't allow that to happen... 

"I'm...alright, I guess. But I highly doubt that you've 'inconvenienced' me. Whatever that means." He said, not really having a wide dictionary in his head.

With that, the two mares danced their flanks off. Candy couldn't accept her dancing though, she looked like a huge dork trying to dance, but she was just having so much fun. She also very much admired Sunny's dancing, good or bad, Candy thought she looked good doing it.

 

By the time the two looked tired out, Candy's mind drifted for just a second. "Hey...where's Pink?" She called to Sunny over the music.

Pink Mist arrived at the club after a nice day of sightseeing. Hoping to have lots of fun with her new companions dancing and enjoying herself she searched for them. She finally spotted Candy and Sunny dancing together. She called out to the pair. "Hey guys I made it."

"Uh... Something to do with wasting time. Or benches. I forget." she giggled. "Somepony said it today, I didn't know it either but it sounds good!"

 

She looked around.

 

"Oh! Do you have a minute? There's something I've got to do! "

 

Without waiting for a response she whipped out a pencil and a rather sorry looking notepad and started to scribble away.

 

"So I don't get lost again!" She explained, smiling as she scrawled over one of the pages, absent mindedly talking to the Pegasus. "I draw places I need to remember, can you stand there? I think you'd look good there!"

He unlocked the door, slowly and carefully as to not arouse suspicion that he was purposely making situations to test the waters. Kaz had idolised Bass for years and now he had him in his apartment. There was a sense of vulnerability around Kaz, which was odd as he was in his comfort zone. "You can just put your bag's down here and your mixer on that desk over there." Kaz threw a hoof up to flick the lights on and the entire room became illuminated. Kaz watched Bass as he walked in front of him to set his things down. I'm so close. You can do it. No, this guy is here as a friend. But that stare, he looked you in the eyes.

Bass nodded with another slight smile. "Alright, I'll just do this real quick.." He levitated a disk out of the now grounded bag, and set the mixer on the desk, to play the first track. He used his magic to begin operating the device, still facing directly away from Kaz. "Here we go, and.." Just then the first track began to play, but it wasn't the track he intended. It was much slower, and calmer. Almost romantic. Bass immediately blushed, and began to turn to apologize about the mixup... but no words came out.

This pony might as well be the most hyper pony I've ever met... He smiled as he walked over to the hotel and smiled at Bubble. "How is this?" He asked, straining to keep his posture so Bubble could draw him. If I remember correctly, this gal is a bit absent-minded...but then again, she's talented and lovable...
