Kaz looked upset at what Bass said and shouted back "Of course I care! This is... Interesting! I'm just not really all... I prefer to play acoustic instruments." Kaz walked over to the Kitchen inside the swamped apartment. "And hey! Of course it isn't too much trouble. I just hope you don't think I'm going to fast with... us." He turned around and smiled cheekily.

Bass just finished setting up his equipment in the odd corner of the main room in the apartment, and switched it on, putting on some slow calming tunes... not the same tracks as last night, but they were equally as mellow. "Oh, look at you, getting to hear my private collection, heh." He then thought of the white unicorn's concern. After a moment, he came up with a response, "Not at all. The only thing I'm truly worried about is public stuff... but as for when in private," he said with a growing flirtatious grin, "we can go as fast as you want."

Pondah's turned slightly pale when he realised that no-one knew what could've happened the day before.

 

'How about we find out just how screwed you could have been yesterday.'

 

Once he'd regained his composure, Pondah asked, "Would you mind if I have a look at it? I could be able to work out what it does."

 

Pondah placed his hooves on his mane and begin to squeeze the pond water out of it.

Truth be told, she did mind. She trusted her sister implicitly and nopony was going to tell her otherwise. Still... Pondah was probably the most trustworthy pony she had met in Baltimare.

 

'He was hiding under you're bed!' Her memory reminded her. She shrugged it off: trust was hard enough to come by without her helping. He seemed like the decent type.

 

"Sure, if you like." She said happily, satisfied with her decision. "Be careful with it though!"

He ensnared Bass and they began to move slowly with each other as the rain began to heat up and the shivers began to die down. The water weaved between the two figure's and the two figure's danced under the metallic cloud.

The two ponies savored the feeling of each other's bodies being so close. They allowed the sensation of the warm mist to bring them closer. After what seemed like forever of simply showing love for eachother in a multitude of ways, their intimate encounter came to an end, and the two ponies finally exited the shower stall. "You know it's amazing how comfortable I can be with you, I never would have thought... it's just... I don't, er-" At that point, he gave up trying to speak, and just hoofed his way up to the still wet stallion and kissed him again, then let his gaze drift to the dark purple irises across from him.

"Gah, you're just too sweet!" Bass cried, and had to hold himself back from simply tackling the pony and just snuggling up with him. "What am I gonna do with you?" he remarked with a smile. He then turned to the mirror to "Fix up" his mane... or in other words, shake it all over the place. "You know, I'm so gonna have to try so hard to keep up with how sweet you are, babe." He added.

Pondah slowly shuffled towards Bubble and took the vial from her hooves.

 

'If she trusts me with a potential WMD, she must trust me quite a bit. This is good.'

 

He moved away from Bubble and turned away from. This was all he could do increase the safety of what he was about to do and prevent any serious injuries. Pondah slowly removed the cork stopper on the bottled and watched intently. The vial began to bubble and smoke leaked from the top. It was a few seconds before Pondah was finally able to confirm what the vial did. He quickly replaced the stopper and dunked the vial in the water, causing steam to erupt from the pond.

 

"Well, I've found out what this vial of stuff can do. You definitely don't drink it unless you want to be screaming for a while. It seems that it creates a lot of heat when it contacts air. It's clear that you throw it at your assailant and wait for the heat to kick in. I'm not certain how strong it is though. It could merely heat your attackers up, it could seriously burn them or it could leave them as a charred, smouldering corpse on the floor."

 

​With a smile, Pondah returned the vial to Bubble, certain it had cooled down. Making a new discovery and finding what something did or how something works always raised Pondah's spirits slightly.

"That sounds dangerous..." She said in a more subdued tone but still without losing her smile. "See? I was right: it's for throwing!"

 

She doubted it was likely to kill anypony: her sister was prone to mistakes and miscalculations but she wasn't stupid.

 

"Why were you in the pond then? You said you there was a story behind it? I want to know!" She said happily.

"Oh yeah. That." Pondah said. "Well, I tried to apply for a job in a shop so I could have some spending money. I don't know what it was, but something about my pitch was clearly off and ended up being attacked with fruit. Thankfully, all that hit was a lot of strawberries. I probably wouldn't be here if the melons had hit. I came to the pond to wash out my mane.

 

Pondah still had a small smile on his face but recounting such a strange story only made it bigger, until it was at the point of almost being a grin.

"That's terrible!" Bubble responded, mimicking his grin in a way that anypony else might have meant that it wasn't terrible at all. "Maybe you just need practice? You were a bit shy when I met you... "

 

She thought about the situation for a moment before realisation hit.

 

"Don't you have any money? I've got plenty if you need some until you get a job!"

Pondah shook his head at Bubble's offer. "It's a kind offer." he replied, "But I never take hand-outs from other ponies. It always leaves me with the feeling that I owe them something, that I've been a drain on their resources, that I've..."

 

Pondah tried to think of a different word to what he was going to use, but it was hopeless. He sighed before finishing his sentence.

 

"Inconvenienced them..."

 

 

And the special word has returned! It's been a while.
