Blazing shook his head. "N-no, it's fine..." He said simply. He was finally able to speak at least, although he was still pretty nervous. Well... I'm getting a bit better at least... It's a start... He thought. He hoped he looked less stupid now that he was actually able to talk again.

"Well, I'm from Ponyville..." Blazing started. "I haven't really seen my parents in awhile." He continued. Which is good for me... He thought. "And as for the magic thing... I'd rather not explain that to anypony yet..." He finished. He wasn't going to explain his disability yet, since he was always paranoid about other pony's reactions to it.

Esme followed closely behind him, she was just going to lead him out of the hotel, but he seemed queasy about it. They arrived at the beach, and the blue pegasus looked out at the sunset, taking in the beauty of the evening. From the side, her mane blew slightly in the breeze, and the light shone around her, making the lighting simply amazing. She turned towards Dog Ears, a small smile on her face. That smile turned into one of pride, and she boasted, "Thanks to me, it's gonna be like this all week!"

"Wait... What do you mean you can't fly to it on your own?" Blazing asked. "I don't know much about pegasi, but from what I know most ponies in Ponyville just take a hot air balloon to Cloudsdale... Is that the same where you live?" He asked.

"About the flying... well, the thing is, I was born with very weak wings. I can fly, but I just can't do it for very long. And yes there are hot air ballons, I live in ponnyville as well, I'm just... scared to go in one. It happened when I was little... my parents, didn't get along very well and usually they would take it out on me. After a while I couldn't take it anymore, so I ran away. Since I couldn't fly there I took the ballon, on the way the bottom of the basket colapsed. I woke up a few hours later and limped my way to ponyville. I won't go into detial about my first year there but ever since that day I have been terified of ridding in ballons." While telling her story she hadn't even noticed that she had started crying part way through.

Maybe, we're more alike then I thought... Blazing thought. He was going to say something, but he didn't know what to say. He knew that he should say something to make her feel better, he just didn't know what would help exactly. Unfortunately he was terrible with making other ponies feel better, so he wouldn't be much help at this point.

Dog Ears nodded, looking at the sunset. "Well thanks I guess. I probably wouldn't want it to be raining while on vacation." He laughed a little. and layed back on the sand. "So uh... I noticed you hung there a little when you hugged me..." He trailed off, not because he lost his train of thought, but because he didn't really know where he was going with the sentence. "Uh.. Nevermind."

"I do have a little bit of magic, but it's incredibly dangerous for me to even attempt it. The last time I tried it nearly killed me, so I've been told to never try again." He continued. The sentance caught Esme completely off-gaurd. She blushed heavily and turned back towards the water. "Well, uh... Uh..." she stammered, attempting to say something to justify her actions. "I-I- uh... I'm... I'm a hugger, ok?" What Esme said wasn't nessasarily true. She did somewhat enjoy hugs, I mean, as much as the next pony, but that's not the reason that she hung on.

"I-I guess you're right..." Blazing said, hugging Charcoal back a little bit. He didn't know why, but he felt like just being with somepony like that helped. He could have easily been wrong, and it could've just been the fact that somepony was actually his friend, but either way he still liked just being there.

I feel like you said it before but I can't remember..." Dog Ears was just trying to steer the conversation in a different direction. Wait what if she asks me if Dog Ears is my real name? I mean...
