Glacier nodded and growled slightly as Lila continued talking to her. Although she hadn't been told much yet, Glacier now had some info to work with.

 

'Doctor Fireheart, eh? Either she's got Doctor as an extension like PhD or BSc or I'm in a hospital of some sort. Wait... Hospitals and jail cells. This is an institute! What the hell am I in an institute for?' 

 

​Realising where she was, Glacier trotted to the other side of her cell with her razor sharp teeth bared from fury. She gripped the floor tightly and let out a furious shout.

Lila examined Glacier. She didn't speak, yet she couldn't help but feel that this mare was worse than what she initially thought. Glacier's reaction fazed Lila, but only slightly. "Glacier, are you alright?" Lila inquired, showing much concern for Glacier.

Glacier took several hard through gritted teeth and turned her head to face Lila. "Yes," ​Glacier spat. "I'm as fine as I can be in a place I have no memory of that hardly seems that friendly." ​Glacier began walking back towards Lila, still speaking in angered tones. "I'm as fine as I can be after waking up to find myself incarcerated in what I've worked out to be a nut house with no idea of what may happen next." 

 

Now at the cell bars and within a hair's width of Lila, Glacier stared straight into the purple unicorn's eyes. "Now then,"  Glacier said in slightly calmer tones. "You can stay outside, watch me like some poor creature in a zoo and infuriate me more or, as a better option, you can come in and talk to me in the same room like the civilized being you're supposed to be."

Lila did her best to give Glacier a smile. "Well, think of it this way: at leat you're not in the criminally insane asylum." she said in a chipper tune. "And the doctors here seem nice, you don't really have much to worry about. And I don't have a key to the cell, so unfortunately this is the only way we can talk right now."

Glacier growled once again at the news of realising she was stuck being spoken to like an animal at a zoo, revealing a flash if her teeth to Lila. "I guess you're right," ​Glacier said in a deceptively cheery voice before switching back to an angry one. "I haven't got much to worry about. Other than... you know... waking up to find yourself somewhere you've never been before, having what was special about yourself being taken from you and not knowing why you're even in a freaking nut-house!"

Eddie shook his head as he heard why alec stayed in the criminal asylumc "ANYWAY! what are your plans to do with me now? im asking you right now, what are your plans? and by the way, you wasted enough time talking to me, arent there other patients you have to take care of? i mean HUH! who am i? to you im a simple deranged colt"

@@Eddie, "I do have other patients to see," Alec replied. "But my session with you is not yet over. As for my plans, I don't really have any. I just try to take one day at a time. As for you, you remind me of how I used to be as a colt, tho for a different reason than yourself. I just want to try and help you, that's all."

"not over? i didnt know it started, you're a clever guy, you knew that i was gonna try to behave and act polite if you told we started a session, but you started it whitout me knowing"

as Eddie replied he turned his back at him and turn around at him again "oh and Alan, i really doubt that you were like me when you were a colt, we are two different ponies, yeah also i forgot to tell you something...something something that you can write down in your session book...eeeh well i was 16 years old...ummm and i set my primary goal life that worked for me, now listnen...i decided to kill...5 or 8 ponies or maybe more and THEN!! i can die and i wont care, the more i thought about it then more i wanted to kill, i havent got the chance to...and believe me if you would of gave me a box full of puppies and kittens i would set them on fire....dont tell me that its 'wrong and against pony nature' all of you made me like this, so now...heheh now you have this infront of ya"

Lila unconcsiously took a step back from Glacier's cell. "Well.... if it would make you feel better I can see if I can find out why you're here?" She offered, turning towards the door. Lila had no real clue if she was just supposed to check on Glacier and report anything.

Glacier noticed Lila's step back and smirked slightly. She nodded slowly before replying. "That would be a good idea,"  Glacier said. "Then I can see about getting myself out of this hell-hole." 

 

​Slowly, Glacier moved towards the far corner of her cell and sat down. She kept her gaze fixed and Lila's eyes and began to think to think about the mare she had just met.

 

'This new pony doesn't seem like she'll be of much use. From what I've gathered she doesn't know much about this place. I'll have to find someone higher in the pecking order.'

Lila smile and noded before darting out of the room. 'How is she here and not at the criminally insane asylum?' she thought to herself as she went looking for someone who could give her information. She hadn't been paying attention to where she was going and realized she had gotten herslef lost. Lila let out a sigh as she began to look for her way back.

@@Marathon Glacier stayed still as she watched Lila gallop away. After a moment of stillness, Glacier slowly slid herself towards the centre of her cell. She was still facing the door when she rolled on to her back.

 

'Time to see how my injuries are holding up. It's going to be hard finding a way of keeping it covered with a fresh covering now that I'm stuck in here.'

 

​Gently, Glacier began unwinding the large red and green leaf from around her abdomen. Layers began to remove and the closer she got to unravelling it, the bloodier it became. When the whole thing was removed, Glacier craned her neck forwards and took a look. A colossal wound lay across her. It was not bleeding but it was incredibly fresh and yet to scab over.

 

'This isn't looking good. The leaf's filthy and the wound doesn't look like healing up any time soon. How can I keep this thing clean?'

 

​Glacier moved her hooves forward to try and re-wrap herself with the leaf. She turned it round so the clean side would be touching it and leant forward.

 

As she did, her eyes narrowed to pinpoints.

 

Slowly, she looked down to see that the wound had just reopened and was bleeding quickly. A loud scream escaped her lungs as she tried to quickly wrap herself with her now trembling hooves.

Sunset didn't notice that he was avoiding looking at her because she hadn't been looking at him in the first place. Memories were flooding her mind and her eyes were shut tight. She let out a small whimper as some of the worse memories come to the front of her mind and tears trailed down her cheeks.

Get it together... You're making yourself look like a little filly.

She swallowed and tried to wipe the tears away, hoping he wouldn't notice. In her little episode, she hadn't caught one word of what he had said, or even noticed that he had even spoken.

"S-sorry," she stammered, looking at the floor.

Searing Pain smirked.

"How interesting. Perhaps we can form some sort of alliance? At least, in trying to get out of this place. A few minutes in here and i can already tell this place is a hellhole."

"P-please just come back... You've introduced yourself..."

Very well.

Charred Cream took over her body again and shied away from the other pony.

"I--I'm s-sorry," she mumbled, hiding behind her mane. She'd always been somewhat timid, but being stuck in a hospital ward for weeks on end without anypony to talk to aside from herself had stunted her social skills greatly.

 

Symphony ate a few of her hay fries and beamed.

"Yeah, they are," she said, before returning to her food.

After some work on the painting and a long nap, Vinyl got up and stumbled out of her room. She was now half-asleep and walking the hallways. In her dream, she saw something chasing her again and started to run, then she tripped and passed out. Somepony help me...

@@Eddie, "That's your decision, but it's not going to do you any good in the long run," Alec said with a shrug. "And I was rebellious, and angry with society at first... but then, I discovered alcohol."

 

@@Mint Drop, Jay said, in a trembly voice, "I'm sorry about Jinx. I can't really control her, even when I have use of the body."

 

@, Glory had already cast a spell to help Vinyl in her dreams. She hoped that it would work; if it didn't, then she would have to appeal to Princess Luna to do something.

 

In the dream, just as Vinyl tripped and fell, a pony stepped in front of her to protect her. This was a dream version of Glory, showing her as a lavender alicorn with a glittering mane and tail and a fierce expression. She faced down the creature chasing Vinyl. "You will leave her alone," the dream Glory said. "She is under my protection and love."

"You haven't anything to be sorry about" he said warmly. He still did not have the courage to look at her, fearing he would begin to cry at the sorrowful sight of her appearance. "You don't have to fear me. I understand whatever those...ponies...did to you has left its impression, hence why you're here, but do know that nothing you say will make me think any less of you. If it's not because of my understanding personality, then it's surely because what I've been through has made me just as shameful..."

The shadowy creature walked on two legs, standing at about 5 and a half feet tall, with two small blue eyes in the centre of its face and a pointed nose, instead of a muzzle. It came close to Glory's face for a few moments, curled the corners of its lips up into a somewhat malicious smile, then vanished into a cloud of black smoke. Vinyl scurried up to Glory's legs and wrapped her forehooves around one. About a minute later, she got up and hugged Glory.

@@Eddie, Alec sighed, sadly. "I think that you are on a path to destruction. Despite the fact that you have potential, there isn't anything I can do to stop you as you have no intention of straying from that path. All I can do is try to help you, but you need to meet me halfway. If I do get you a transfer, you need to promise to not attack anypony at the Insane Asylum. So far, I've managed to steer Dume away from taking an interest in you, but if you get sent back here after killing a patient or nurse at the Insane Asylum that will change and it would be out of my hooves."

 

@, Still in the dream, Glory kissed Vinyl. "This is how the spell I told you about works," she said. "It makes the spellcaster appear in a dream as a protector. Sometimes I wish I looked like this all the time."

Eddie looked at alec with his mouth open "killing? what mekes...wait, i didnt kill anyone yet...hugh...and well, heh...im thankful, that you talked doom out of doing something to me, what kind of interest did he have? actually that-that dosent matter really...buut, yeah...i can promise you that i will not attack ponies there, although when i dont fight back when someone attacks ME! i feel really bad about myself...like a-a-a like some...like some dog or a bitch...a pushover" Eddie said as he started to remember his childhood at the school where he was a target of bullying and discrimination and at his home, he looked down all sad "....when will the transfer begin....is there anything else you want to ask me, Alan?"

"You don't look all that different — still perfect. Anyway, I don't think that'll be the last of it. I mean, you saw the look in its eye, right? It looked like it was going to do something..." Vinyl looked down and put her head on Glory's furry chest, then rubbed up against it.

"No, nothing else," Alec replied. "And the transfer will occurr in a day or so, sooner if I can swing it and if you keep your word to me and behave yourself."

"If that's the case, then I'll just have to cast the spell again to be here and to protect you in your dreams til it leaves you alone," Glory said, hugging Vinyl.

Eddie kept his head down still sad "alright have it, have my word as many as you like....did i tell ya that i hate evening sunsets? maybe i did, i hate them because bad stuff happened when i was a colt at evenings, and everytime...everytime i would see the sunset i would think 'oh no...im gonna get yelled at and beaten for no reason again' from sunday to thursday that would all happen...its my first day here and im alraedy getting a transfer...i havent even eaten yet, maybe i should of haten-mich-den-lin-meslt-danem-gadlin?"

Charred stared down at her hooves. "I-I can't control Searing Pain either... I-I don't know how to stop her yet... I just 'met' her a little while ago..."

((Fall into Insanity rebooted a while ago, it's going pretty well but turning into more of a grimdark SOL than an adventure.))

 

"Sh-sh-shameful...?" Sunset nervously peeked at him from behind his mane. He looked anything but.

Golden Aged lifted his head up and looked off ahead of him, placing his eyes upon a tiny crack in the wall. "I'm good at hiding it..." he said meekly. "I appear calm and kind, and I still am on the inside to an extent, but most of what I once was has deteriorated into irrationality and paranoia. Wait until the snow falls...I'll be a wreck. I can't help but feel as sense of shame for...being made into a shadow of what I was. I realize it's the because of my trauma, but what I did over there...the fact that the winter turned me into a barbaric animal...I feel ashamed to have sunk to such a lowly level."
