What if the show's storyline began with the Mane 6 as filles?

Okay, I know this is a weird question, but it's one that's been floating around my mind quite abit recently.

 

In case you need me to elaborate; What if Nightmare Moon was going to return at the time when the Mane 6 were still fillies, and they somehow still all shortly meet in Ponyville, eventually getting the Elements of Harmony, defeating Nightmare moon, and brought back Princess Luna, again, as young CMC-aged fillies?

 

How do you think the story would be affected by this hypothetical alteration?

I don't think much of the story would change. Most likely the episode would play out the same way, but everyone would just be younger. It would be a lot harder to get Twilight to Ponyville, give her a change to roam the town to meet the others, and I don't think the other would be helping out with the town event, but just playing around and goofing off. Seeing as they are kids.

It might let the ponies tell more of their story as children, but then we'd wonder if it started when they were babies or something. I like the way they started it, but still think your idea is interesting.

That wouldn't be have bad for a season 4 episode. They could really dig in deep with that characters of the show and their backgrounds not to mention that it would be awesome to see the mane 6 as cute little fillies.

 

Id love to see an episode start off that way but, If you mean that in the first season they started off as fillies and then later on through the other seasons became the older; I would say its fine the way it is.

Well um, idk if it will work, beats me if things would play out right for them to get the elements in  the first place.

 

Assuming stuff like that didn't change I really don't know what would change, its hard to say what knowledge they'd have and wouldn't have.

 

I'd be interested in seeing another filly episode though.

I don't think it would work actually. As fillies, they are not as "powerful" as they are now. Especially not Twilight and Rarity with their magic. And they would not be able to do all of the things they are doing now. For example, Applejack would not be able to buck apples at such a young age.
