Yeah nothing illegal is going on here.  The only thing that I can conclude from this, is that Hasbro is bunch of hypocrites for using assets from a game they don't support. 

 

Also if you're making art out of copyrighted material, you shouldn't be expecting to have your name attached to it.  After all you're using somepony else's ideas to make something.   So it wasn't really their own creation from the start.
