I love how russian does adjectives (well, maybe not all of them, but these at least lel)

Like, you got мальчик - the boy, then you got маленький - small / little and молодой - young

Really makes it easy to remember. Hmm, what was "little"?... well, what is little? a boy - that's мальчик, so... маленький
