A scream was coming from outside and soon she heared steps coming from downstairs. She looked out the window and saw Pyxel leaving. She stood up and wanted to go after him, maybe she can help, but she couldn't. The door of the room which was opened a few minutes ago, was closed now. She tried to open it, but it didn't move. She wanted to shout when she heared steps above herself. They were not alone in that house.

 

The young ponx turned around and looked directly at Pyxel. "I said go away...oh.. It's never mind now.." The young pony slowly walked closer to Pyxel still looking in his eyes. "It's too late now...It's too late now! They are here..." His face was emotionless as he said the last sentences than turned around and started to walk away till he disappeared in the dark.

Chemm was still trying hard to process everything that was going on. She couldn't move, but a deep fear in her told her to. She could hear Pyxel and the others moving frantically about as screams and shouts were being raised at each other and the environment. It was becoming very hard for Chemm to take it all in... What in Equestria was going on?

As Code was still playing with the fire, he heard screams coming from outside which made him instantly get up. He was behind Pyxel, but stopped at the door when he saw Eddie on the ground. 'This is strange. Why would he danger himself more... unless he himself was in peril. Crap.' Code turned around and did a quick headcount. 'We are short a head. Where is Violet?' He thought as he looked up the stairs. Quick looking at the others. "Stay together and keep eachother within sight. I'll be right back." Code then turned back to the stairs and as quickly and quietly as he could, he searched for Violet. "Violet. Are you up here?" Code called out haphazardly.

Pyxel felt scared, but he was curious at the same time.

"Wait! Who's coming?"

No answer. The colt was already gone.

"B-but... you're gonna be alright, I guess?"

Still no answer. Pyxel sighed and flew back to the others. Just the second he landed, a feeling of fear just ran over him.

Who was coming? What do they do? Who was that colt? Why did he have signs of burning over him?

"Okay... it's fine. Celestia... and Luna... will protect us, right?" He asked nopony in particular.

Pyxel was shaking like crazy.

He grabbed his guitar and played a short solo. That always calme his nerves. The sweet sound of music.

At this moment, Chemm just had to stand up. She couldn't lie on her couch doing nothing. She got up weakly from the comfy brown couch, still feeling pain from her abdomen. She trotted very slowly towards the side window and saw Pyxel playing sweetly on his guitar. It sounded very calming within a torrent of uncertainty. It certainly made more Echo Falls more welcoming than it was when they first entered. Chemm giggled, thinking that they should hire Pyxel if they really wanted to show good tourism and friendship to new travelers. Pyxel looked so amazing and cute when he was on the guitar. Chemm sighed, forgetting briefly about the troubles that potentially arose at this haunted night...

"Come on, please...open."- she mumbled while she listened to the steps that came from above. Soon, she heared Code calling her name, but as soon as she wanted to reply the noise stopped. "Code! Code...I'm here. The door stucked and I can't open it! Code, there is somepony else in this house! We are not alone!" Violet could bet that she felt gasping behind herself. She turned around immediately but there was nothing. She turned back and shouted to Code. "Get me out of here! Please!" She felt the gasping again but now as she turned around again her heart stopped for a minute. Somepony stood there not far from her with her head laid down. Violet started to panic and kicked the door as hard as she can but nothing. She started to sob. "Code...please..." The strange pony raised his head slowly. Violet now could see his eyes and that moment she felt so calm. "Everything is alright. Come with me. I can get you out from here"-said the unknown pony and grabbed Violet's hoof. "Just follow me.." The pony started to walk backwards to the direction of the window and Violet followed her without any word. She lost her conscience. "See, this is the way where you can get out."-said the pony and moved away leaving Violet alone. Violet slowly approached the window, opened it, and climbed up to the ledge.

Going from door to door, Code frantically searched for Violet. Going up to one of the doors, he finally head Violet call back and say that the door won't open. "Hold on! I'll get you out!" Code yelled back to her. He then turned and tried to buck the door open, but it didn't move at all. "It won't open. It's too sturdy..." He started, but stopped as a bone-chilling voice came from the other side of the door. 'This must have been what that stallion ran from.' Listening to the voice, Code realized what they were doing.'Dammit! I have to get the bedroom window NOW!' He turned and flew down the stairs as fast as he could, ramming through the slightly open door causing some of the door panels to crack, and flew towards the bedroom window.

Pyxel had stopped playing. Noticing Chemm giggling throught the window, he bowed. He hadn't really performed for a while, neither hadn't somepony say something good about his music.

When getting back up, he noticed Violet standing on the window. It felt like Pyxel's heart dropped into an abyss. Was the mare really trying to commit suicide?

"What are you doing!?" He yelled, running under the window. Pyxel had somehow forgotten he was a pegasus due to the situation so he just stood there, trying to catch Violet when that mare should drop.

"Would you reconsider? Please? Enough ponies have already died today!"

Violet finally recovered her conscience but just after she released the window-frame. As she realized what happened she tried to hang on but it was late. She lost her balance and started to fall. She saw Pyxel under the window and Code flying towards herself who probably tried to save her.

Code's fear was confirmed when he sa Violet standing in the window sill. He pushed himself harder when Violet slightly moved forward and lost her balance. Code was going fast enough to make his eyes water when he closed the gap betwwen them. Catching her in middair, he quickly realized that he still wasn't strong to carry another pony while flying. As they started to go towards the ground, Code put himself underneath Violet, tucked in his wings, and cushioned Violet's fall when they hit the ground, sustaining some road rash on his back.

Eddie kept giving out slight coughs as he didint pay attention to what was happening around "i need...*cough* i need to move, somewhere GGRRR.... to manehattan!!" Eddie looked around a bit and saw that everybody payed attention to a mere violet and not him, he took the chance to crawl out of the dirt road and into the shadows witch was an alley between two houses "almost...almost there, heheh revenge can piss its name...name it concrete" he reached the alley and since the moonlight was shining the shadows hid Eddie somewhat as to be sure he moved behind the house, as he was behind the house and hidden from the ponies he sat down with his back against the wall "i hope they-hehehe they didnt saw me"

Chemm continued to clap happily as Pyxel bowed. However, things easily went sour as Chemm could hear Pyxel shouting at what probably was a mare. He was worried she was going to commit suicide! Wait, somepony wanted to commit suicide? Chemm was shocked! Things were looking bad for them, but it wasn't THAT bad yet! She lumped out of the house towards Pyxel to look at everything that was going on. She was still confused. She asked Pyxel with a worried look,

 

"Pyxel! What's... what's going on?!"

As Violet started to fall she couldn't do anything just closing her eyes and waiting for the crash with the ground. She felt that somepony grabbed her and in the next moment they reached the ground. Violet didn't hit herself for her biggest surprise but as she opened her eyes to see what happened she realized why. Code cushoined her fall that probably saved her life. "Oh no!" Violet get down from Code and sat down next to him. She breathed heavily probably from the shock that received. The last thing that she remembered was the creepy pony in the room and than she almost died but she wasn't and Code injured himself. "Code! I'm so sorry!"-she shouted.

As soon as Violet got off of Code after the fall, he tried gasping for air due to the wind getting knocked out of him. When Violet sat next to him, he finally caught his breath and smiled. "Don't be. The injuries are minor. You're alive, that's what matters." He replied as he slowly got up and cringed as his back stung from the fall. He then stretched out his wings and saw they were intact. He then turned to Violet, "We should probably get out of here."

Pyxel let out a sigh of relief, seeing that the two ponies were alive. Chemm's question wasn't loud enough for him to hear it.

"Okay. Everypony good now? No more suicidal attemps, alright?"

He turned around to pick up his guitar that was still lying on the dirt road. He noticed that somepony was missing. The one that was injured... lying in the middle of the street.

"Wait a minute... where's that... stallion that fell of a roof?"

The guitar fell down again as his eyes widened.

"Did... the monsters eat him or something? Are there monsters here?"

A chill was sent down Pyxel's spine as he thought of different creatures that could be here.

Eddie peeked around the corner and saw 4 ponies outside, he asumed there were 2 or 3 other ponies somewhere in the area "alright....where is that snake?" he had spotted a yellow pony leaving the house "hhmm-gghhh...seems like they're hold up in that house" Eddie hid himself when he spotted the snake-eyed pony through the window, Eddie then decided to sneak into the house, but to do that he must go around to get to it, and his injuries didnt help his task

Violet agreed that they must leave as soon as possible. After what happened to her, or almost happened to her, they weren't safe there, in Echo Falls. Who knows what happenes next... Violet was shivering as she recollected what happened upstairs. That pony with his frightening eyes. And he almost killed her. If Code wouldn't be...She probably never thank him enough what he had done. As Pyxel mentioned Violet realized that she hadn't seen the grey stallion for a while. Pyxel said that maybe some kind of monster ate him but Violet was sure that what she seen wasn't a monster. He was so dim, and thin. He rather looked like a ghost but, ghosts doesn't exists. Right? "I don't think it was a monster.."-answered Violet as she looked to the old house. "..but I don't want to find out."

Code turned to the other three. "You guys alright?" Hearing Pyxel's comment, Code glanced over to where Eddie was laying on the street and noticed he wasn't there anymore. Listening to the remark of monsters, he turned back to the others. "I highly doubt there is a monster that ate him. He was there when I flew by. He probably just crawled away from here." Code said. "Also, I feel we are missing some of our group. Anyone know where they are?"

Chemm was still looking very confused. Pyxel probably didn't hear her question as he was too busy dealing with other matters. She looked around for anything that could possibly help her deal with the ongoing abdominal pain she experienced. A first aid kit was a great start. All of a sudden, she found a stray medkit on the dirt pavement. It was like a divine answer to her request! She instantly trotted towards it and took the med kit. She took the contents and walked back towards Pyxel. She quickly opened the med kit and saw some straps and warm pads that would alleviate some of the pain that was present on her back. It was good enough for now...

 

Chemm applied the straps and warm pads on her painful regions and wrapped herself around it. She was feeling a bit better now and was able to walk on her own without as much pain at this point. Still, she was confused. She saw the other ponies gather around by the time Code and the other mare came back to them. She also heard Code's question and developed a worried look on her face. Where were some of the other ponies? She hadn't seen them since they entered the cabin and since Chemm rested on the brown, dusty couch. She then answered Code's question with a worried look,

 

"What... what do you mean some ponies are missing? I... i haven't seen them since I lied around in the cabin trying to recuperate from my abdominal pain."

"Those two others, the stallion that never talked and the mare with the injured leg, must still be in the house we were just camped in. I'm also geussing the stallion that fell from the other building probably crawled in there too. One thing though, I refuse to go back in that house for any reason. That place is pure evil." Code replied to Chemm as he looked at the building they were just in with a look that was between worry, fear, and a death glare. "We should probably get out of the open where we're most vulnerable." Code said as he quickly surveyed the area for a place to go.

"Wait what? We can't just leave them! Why on Equestria would we do that?"

He turned around to get a good look at the house, but was scared by Chemm. She was covered in bandages. It took Pyxel a second to realize that she was fine.

"AAAAH-oh... geez, you scared me with those bandages..."

Turning away from Chemm and opening the creaky door, he thought of the monsters that could in the house. It all seemed weird. Minutes ago, they were sitting around a fireplace and now they're all scared of everything. But Pyxel couldn't leave his friends behind. Him not being that brave wasn't an excuse to potentially let them die.

*Ohkay, nothing scary... just, your friends are in here... and you just have to find them! Yep! We're all good here..."

The corridor seemed creepier than ever. Pyxel imagined the spiderwebs filled with spiders, the creepy colt standing on the staircase.

"Hello? Anypony in here? We're just gonna go, so you should come... or don't, you know... um... would you just come out?" Pyxel asked, his voice shivering a bit.

Eddie saw the blue pony go inside the house "daaammit...witnesses!" he didnt know how to carry out his task when there was one more witness in the house, Eddie then decided to go through the rear entrance or a window, he quickly limped across the road as he reached the house.

He was between two houses, the other one was only a one story house, he looked up and saw that it would be easy to climb up to the one story house roof and then climb through the window to the second floor of the house he needed to get in undetected "i love my thieving instict" he found a barrel the was next to some wooden boxes, he got up on the barrel and was able to reach the roof, as he pulled himself up he could feel his broken rib.

Eddie was on the roof and saw the second story window of the other house "alright...grab on to that ledge and open the window" he scooted as close as he could get torwards the window and made a slight jump he was cought the window ledge with his hoofs as his injured one hurt like hell "ow buck buck buck!" Eddie had opened the window, as he was thankful that the window wasnt closed shut, he climbed through it and took a sec to gather his strengh "looks like....looks like a bedroom"

"Get out of open!? Get out of this town as soon as we can!"-shouted Violet but she realized that it's better if she lower her voice. "Guys...That thing just get in the room, even if the door was stucked. There is no place where we would be in safe! I want to leave as we found the others. Please."-said and turned towards Pyxel who was already searching for the others in the old house. "Wait! You can't go alone! Somepony should go with you and I'll stay with the other one." There was no way that Violet enter the house ever again. She would rather stay outside in the cold. "Maybe he can't harm us if we move in groups. I mean, I was alone there when he appeared and maybe he was the one who bolted in the door..."

"My mind is already made up. I refuse to reenter that house." Code said in correspondence to Violet. "Chemm. Go with him and search for the other two. I'm going to stay here." He turned back towards the house with a look of fear covering his face. As he felt something running down his legs, he quickly looked down and saw that his bag was leaking out of the bottom. "Damn. Some of the cans must have broken when I landed on the ground." Code said irritably as he shook yis leg and took off his bag and discarded all the spent cans.

as Eddie got his strenght collected, he quickly rethough his plan
"alright lure the snake torwards and end him....but them other ones, they wont like what ill do to that...that snake!" he knew that he had short amount of time and he had to think of something fast "wait! what if i...what if i cover my head with this sheet? nah, this isnt a burglary, just do it swiftly and get out!"

 

Eddie got to the door, he twisted the door knob and looked around if anypony was there, he went throught the door and peeked from around the corner through the stair's railing and didnt see anyone, only saw the blue pony calling for someone, Eddie got out of sight and thought "where is that..." he got suprised as he heard wierd noises that sounded like somepony was ripping sheets of paper from the door next to him "i think i found ya" Eddie walked up to the door and turned the door knob quietly,

as he opened the door he saw the dark pony sitting on the bed and what seemed to Eddie he was checking his medkit on the bed, the dark pony was like camouflaged in the dark only his eyes stood out, Eddie walked through the door whitout being all stealthy

 

 

"well i be horsewhipped and bucked right after...if it isnt my old pal, snake-eyed bogan, you arent so cool whitout that dumb flock of sheep aye?!" Eddie didnt wait, he took the first punch with his right injured hoof and hit light in the temple as he fell off the bed "aah damn!" Eddie grabbed light by the mane and punched him on the top of the head repeatedly a few times, as he then forced light to sit on the floor while Eddie was holding him by the cheeks "any last words...bogan?" Eddie noticed light was silent "oh the silent type...i admire your....silent...ness" Eddie then twisted light's head to the right quickly, snapping his neck as he did it two more times

Eddie then let go of light's head "scum" he spat on light's corpse.

 

(its too much to read i know, and my grammar is sometimes not so but, its because lately ive been nervous)
