Chemm continued to look around in fear. Her acquaintances were arguing over what to do next. She could hear Code refusing to reenter the house because of how haunted it was and how Chemm was told by him to enter the house. She really didn't want to do so, especially considering the fear factor and her abdominal pain, but still. She was older than them. She had to be a role model. She was the assertive one, and she had to show it. She replied, trying to hide her fear,

 

"I... I guess I'll... go in... so long as Violet and Pyxel enter with me."

"I...I'm sorry Chemm but I won't go with you. You know, I just don't want to enter that house again. I won't be able to, and somepony needs to stay with Code anyways so..so I won't go. Sorry..."-she said and turned away from her. She felt so bad for letting her go with her injuries. Than a sudden thought ran across her mind. What if the monster or ghost appear and Chemm won't be able to run away from it. She would never forgive it to herself. "Wait, Chemm...I think maybe you shouldn't go. You have injuries so...just stay hete with Code." She didn't even asked Code to go instead of her after he saved her life. "I will go with Pyxel and we will be out in a minute." Violet made a nervous laugh than entered the house. "What could have happen...if we stay together, right?"-she asked from herself than looked around. The room where the little group was before now was empty. "Girls?.."-she asked quietly as she moved closer to the fireplace.

Chemm was visibly annoyed. She had already provided the offer to bravely go inside what could have been a haunted house. Plus, she wanted to be with Pyxel! To her, it sounded like Violet wanted Pyxel all to himself. She wanted Pyxel! He saved her! Not that purple mare! The chuckle didn't help either! It screamed, 'I want him, and you're not getting him!' in her heart. She ran onward towards Violet, refusing to say.

 

"You're not making me stay you... nincompoop! If I said I'm going in the house with Pyxel, then I'll go! Why did you suddenly change your mind huh?! Come back here!" Spoke an angry Chemm trying to assert herself as usual, even if it was for unusual reasons...

"so the snake is dead....right but now what? well i guess im..." Eddie suddenly remembered light's medkit "oh ship! i bet i can use that medkit...on whaaat?? i need a cast on my wing the medical kit wont do anything" he walked up to the bed where light was and checked the medkit as he opened it "as i thought bandages, bucking...uuuh rubbing alcohol i think, scissors" he closes the medkit and walks torwards a window as he was about to open it but he heard someone shouting, he wasnt sure if it was in the house or outside it "the heck they screaming about?" Eddie got an idea "huh, ill give them something to...UGH!" he grabbed light's corpse by the mane and started dragging him torwards the stairs "...man, why are you so heavy...ugh damn!" Eddie had thrown light's corpse down the stairs making alot of noise as Eddie went to the room where he murdered light to hide for a little while "fear, will deminish theyre mental efficiency, might make them easy prey...just *sigh* no civilian casualties from here on out"

Surprized to hear that Violet was going to go back in with Pyxel, Code looked over and realized why she did it. Chemm was bandaged quite a bit and he thought why did he try and send her. He turned back to Violet, who was walking toward the house and jumped when Chemm started to shout towards Violet. Code then quickly ran over to Chemm, put one hoof around her, and covered her mouth with the other. "We have to be quiet. There is no need to get loud over some jealousy. This place isn't exactly safe. Do you understand me?" Code stared into her eyes with a look of not anger and frustration, but of worry and desperation.

Chemm could feel her mouth getting covered. She tried to scream and leap away from the pony holding her, but she couldn't. She then heard Code's voice and was comforted. She wanted to protest. She didn't want to show her jealousy! But still, Code was right. The house wasn't the safest in the world, and she didn't want to get killed. She responded with a nod and a slight protest, not wanting to show her developing crush on Pyxel,

 

"I'm not jealous! I... I just... don't want to look weak is all..."

Violet looked back and saw that Chemm followed her to the house. She wanted to know why she should stay if she offered to go in and she also seemed very angry. "Calm down!"-asked her Violet. "I just wanted you to stay because it seemed your injuries are very bad. That's why I changed my mind! And I think you rather be thankful than..." Violet heared noise coming from upstairs that interrupted her. "Maybe the others are upstairs.."

Chemm was still slightly angered when Violet rebuked her for her anger. From her response, it looked like Violet wasn't very interested in Pyxel, leaving her to believe that she really wasn't seeking for time to be with Pyxel. It left Chemm slightly ashamed, but she didn't want to show that. After all, she didn't want anypony to know of her developing feelings for Pyxel at this stage.

 

When she heard noise from the upper floors though, Chemm suddenly came to a halt. What was that? It sounded like a large ruckus... What could possibly be up there? Chemm wondered with fear as the noise continued to bang from above. However, Chemm didn't want to show she was scared. She replied with a mere nod to Violet as Chemm began to walk up the wooden staircase...

'I really don't want to do this, but everyone else went in and I don't want to be out here alone.' Code thought as he reluctantly went back into the house right behind Chemm. Walking back into the foyer, he stopped and listened to what the others were saying and stayed put when they split up. Watching Violet search the base level, Code turned to watch Chemm start to go up the stairs. Out of his peripheral vision, he noticed something at the top of the stairs. It was too dark to make out what it was, but when it lurched forward, he quickly moved to Chemm and pushed her up against the wall as the dark object came crashing by down the stairs. Moving over to what went down the stairs, he realized it was the stallion that helped him earlier. Upon further inspection, he found blunt trauma to his head and had his neck snapped. "Guys..." Code started saying to the others. "I'm afraid he's dead."

Chemm continued to walk up the stairs, feeling a greater sense of fear as she traversed towards the dark room where the voices could be heard. Everything around her was very dark, and the noises just compounded her fears. When Chemm got up the stairs, she slowly peered into the room where the voices were heard. But the room was silent. It was lifeless. Nothing inside it moved or even gave a blink. At that moment, Chemm heard Code mentioning death... Death... another one... It was already bad enough that the bus crash killed so many of her fellow classmates, but having to see yet another pony die... in such a cruel way... it was too much.

 

Chemm quickly turned her eyes away from the site. She couldn't say anything. She didn't want to see the carnage that had been performed at the room. She also gave herself a small tear... one that she didn't want to show... it was all too much. This many deaths in a single day, all of them so cruelly performed? It was too much... too much...

Violet tried follow the other as quietly as she could. They reached the stairs and she let Code and Chemm to go ahead while she looked back to make sure that Pyxel was there too. It would be a deadly mistake to left anypony behind. She started to walk up the old staircase. Violet didn't want to believe her ears. Code said that he found one of the ponies but...she was dead already. Thats it...enough...Violet couldn't take any more. She wanted to run. Run from this cursed town as far as she could. But she was to scared... How could this happen? Why just with them? Violet sat down on the staircase and front of herself. She wanted to believe that there was still hope for them. She wanted to believe, but she wasn't able. They will all die here in this town. Sooner or latre...That means there is no reason to fight, to fight with that creature. It's easier to give up and everything will be over soon, maybe without pain...

as Eddie hid himself in the room and put his ear close to the door "its working...fear os consuming them...perfect" Eddie walked over to the medkit, opened it and grabbed the clean silver scissors "hopefully i wont need it" Eddie gave a sigh and slowly walked up to the stairs as he looked down upon the ponies, one was sitting on the stairs "...i mean he brought it on himself...right?" Eddie gave a slight twisted smile as his eyes wide open, sort of looked manic

'Dammit. I hope that other mare didn't get done in either. This is a big morale killer and we don't need anymore deaths.' Code thought as he closed his eyes and bowed his head, shutting Light's eyes. Getting back up, He looked towards the others. "We need to get out of here as soon as possible. We need to find that other mare and leave immediately afterwards." Code sighed and looked towards Violet, then to Chemm, verifying that they understood. When he looked at Chemm, who was still on the stairs, Code saw the glint of a metal object at the top of the stairs. Taking a quick second look, he could see the faint reflection of light from what looked like eyes and a large grin. "Chemm, get to the bottom of the stairs!" Code yelled to Chemm as he rushed up the stairs. He then took off bag and threw it at the unknown pony, knowing that the pony would defend itself. Charging in right behind his bag, Code tackled the pony and tried to knock what he thought was a knife from the pony's hoof and pin the assailant.

Everything was more unbecoming for Chemm. She continued to look around for any sign of life, but she was shocked when Code called out to Chemm about running to the bottom of the stairs. Her heart instantly began to race as she ran towards the bottom of the stairs. She could also see Code running up the stairs to confront the being that was at the top of the stairs. She now understood the situation. She saw the shiny sharp metal that reflected what little light was present in the room. She breathed a sigh of relief as Code continued his struggle against the pony. She shouted for all the other ponies, particularly worried about Pyxel...

 

"Violet!! Pyxel!! Where are you?! I don't want you dead! Please!"

Eddie saw code going torwards him "come on, you got something? you got..." code threw the bag at Eddie as he dodged it and Eddie was soon tackled by code "HEY!...GET OFF YOU MOTHERBUCKER!!!" he kept strggling still holding on to those scissors "MANEHATTAN BITCH!! MANEHATTAN" as he kept struggling and trying to punch code he was unable but to spat out crazy nonsence and giberish "THE WORLD ISNT ROUND! ITS RECTANGULARBLR!! THE BOTTOM SIDE IS AN ANOTHER DIMENSION TO QUESTION TO THE EXISTANCE!!!"

Struggling to pin the other pony and knock the weapon away, Code was not being able to stop the pony as the pony was struggling to much. Being able to suppress all attempts at being punched, he knew that the pony would not stop squirming to get away. Code heard the rambling from the pony and concluded that the pony was delusional. After struggling to pin the armed assailant to no avail, Code quickly decided to use a last resort move to try and finish it. Keeping the other pony's arms to the side, Code put his head back. 'This is gonna hurt.' Code thought as he brought his head down as hard as he could towards the other pony's forehead.

Chemm could only stand and watch as Code continued to struggle against the silhouetted figure. She was also worried about Pyxel... She had to save him in some way... He had saved her life, and he was nowhere to be found... Where was he?! Chemm couldn't bear the suspense! With Code in fighting, Pyxel still missing, and many others dead, it was becoming harder and harder for Chemm to keep her cool...

 

However, a thought suddenly rushed into her mind. She had to do something to help Code, but she didn't know what! She looked around for anything... ANYTHING... she could hopefully throw in order to knock the enemy off... Chemm quickly found a medium sized rock on the ground to her left. It wasn't much, but it was certainly enough to knock the enemy down so that Code could get away. She then took a good aim at the fighting ponies, hoping that she got the silhouette's head clearly. She then threw the rock as hard as she could for dear luck and shouted at Code,

 

"Code!! Duck!!"

"YOU GOT AN IMAGINARY FRIEND HUH??!!" Eddie didnt stop for a second to struggle away, code then headbutted Eddie's forehead only resulting in Eddie hitting the back of his head on the wall, he got mad after that and tried to do the same thing.

Eddie tried to bring code's head and neck close to his teeth "IM GONNA BITE YOUR THROAT OUT!!! GHAAAAAAH!!" he kept screaming as the yellow pony threw a rock, he saw code duck his head forward and down as the rock hit Eddie's nose pretty hard making it bleed rapidly in a matter of seconds also resulting in a concusion, he fell on the floor as he dropped the scissors holding his broken nose, only thing Eddie could hear is ZZZZZZ in his ears

The headbutt Code tried to do hit the pony, but it didn't stop the struggle. From down the stairs, he heard Chemm yelling at him to duck. As he ducked away from the pony, a rock came whizzing by and hit the pony in the face, causing blood to come gushing out of his nose. "Nice shot!" Code replied back to Chemm. Now that the pony was on the ground stunned, Code ran over and pinned down the pony that attacked them. Upon closer inspection now that his eyes were adjusted to the dark, he came to a sudden realization. "Hey guys! It's that one pony that we met at the crash site and argued with everyone."

Eddie was laying on the floor on his side, he tried to move his hoof to his nose to hold the bleeding but he was pinned and he didnt realize it "hehe! hehehahaaaaaah buck..." Eddie started breathing heavily as he tried to move his hoofs again "...I DONT!!! I REGRET NOTHING!!"

Chemm was relieved that the rock hit the silhouetted pony and knocked him out with a bloody nose. She made sure to run off with Code and the grey pony as they ran far away from the unconscious pony... Chemm then took a good look around... Still no sight of Pyxel... Where was he... She was getting more and more worried... She then asked Code with a stutter,

 

"Code... are... are you ok... Where's... where's Pyxel?!"

 

When Chemm uttered the word "Pyxel", she felt a tinge of stress and fear roll up in her. She was a perfectionist, and the current situation she was presented was far from perfect. All she could do was wait underneath the imposing moonlight on the dirt road that served as Echo Falls' main street... It pained her, leaving her to place her front hooves on top of her mane to cower in fear...

Code looked down at the pinned pony. "I am going to let you go. If you try anything, I will put you back on the ground. Got it?" Code said as he got off of Eddie and handed him a rag from the medkit Eddie had on him. "Here. Clean up your face. It's a mess." Code tyen backed off to let Eddie get up. Hearing Chemm's question, Code replied back to her. "Yeah, I should be good. We should meet up with everypony else and get out of here."

Violet and Pyxel were downstairs and tried to find the missing pony. They have checked every room but nothing. They couldn't find her. As they walked along the corridor to the stairs they have noticed a door that they thought it was not there before. The truth was just that they missed it somehow. Violet asked Pyxel to open the door and soon as he did it they have peeked inside. It was so dark, they could see only a stair leading down. "The basement..."-said Violet as Pyxel fully opened the door. They decided to look around but not to stay there for a long time. She followed Pyxel as they headed down.

Eddie laid on the floor with his nose still bleeding as he still heard ZZZZs and everything he heard was muffled he only heard the other pony say 'your face, its a mess' witch Eddie responded "my face is a mess? do i look like your mama? you're gonna threaten me? next time your little...bucking rock thrower wont be there to help you" he then looked around and as his one eye cought a bit of his blood his vision was also blury "oh and where is that cavemare? (cavewoman, whatever) HEY you do realize that fire was already invented, so you dont have to use bucking ROCKS to light a fire, let alone throw one at me" Eddie tried to get up once more but he couldnt without something to help him up "...i swear i feel bad for your father, i regret for him that he shot you out his *whistles*"

"Yeah, he sounds back to normal." Code said as he listened to the lame insults being shot at him. Watching Eddie try multiple times started to irritate Code. "Okay. I do not have the patience for this right now. We need to get moving."Code then walked over to Eddie. He picked up the medkit and grabbed some gauze pad and wrappings, then proceeded to put the gauze pad on th front of his face and wrap it to stop the bleeding and muffle his voice. Doing this was somewhat easy because he was still pretty stunned. "There, that should stop the bleeding and shut you up." Code then picked up Eddie, threw him on his back, and went back downstairs to rendevous with everyone else. At the bottom of the stairs, Code looked around and only saw Chemm. "Where did Pyxel and Violet go?" He asked Chemm.
