[The Ponyville Critic 304]

The inevitable has happened.

 

It was a peaceful, un-extraordinary day in Equestria, when Discord returned to wreak havoc on Ponyville and the surrounding settlements. All the ponies in the town have been taken, save for a couple of stragglers which are being taken by Discord's minions, the "Chaos Children". Worst of all, the bearers of the Elements of Harmony have been captured and imprisoned so Discord is almost definitely unstoppable.

 

Missy awakes in the library, she was in a cupboard, which she quickly fell out of. Last thing she remembers is a flash of light and some screaming, then she went unconcious. For what reason she didn't know.

Emerald blinked ber grey eyes and looked around. She still in her Aunt's house. But why was she on the kitchen floor? Thast she remembered was a scream from her Aunt Redheart, and somdpony cackled than disappeared. I looked down at myself. My forlegs were covered with scratches.

Richard awoke, to see that he was in his bed.

"Urgh.. I am SUUPEER hungry!!" He said, as his stomach growled from hunger.

He went to his kitchen, to see that it was Wrecked! His cubbords were scratched and emptied.

He was FURIOUS!

 

"Whoever stole my food.. IS IN FOR AN BUTTKICKING! NOPONY. AND I MEAN NOPONY STEALS MY FOOD AND GETS AWAY WITH IT."

 

He yelled, as he heard something munching on an apple.

"Time to kick that ponies ass!"

He said, as he exited his house, and checked his alleyway.

Emerald got up to check on her Aunt Redheart. Emerald looked everywhere in the small house but her Aunt Redheart wasn't there. Emerald started to freak out, and ran out the front door. Emerald ran to the library, which was usually empty-but wss surprised to see a pony there.

Missy looked at the newly arrived pony, it was a red earth pony.

Missy started to notice a pain in the back of her head, she must have banged it on the back of the cupboard. Her vision was still blurry but she could make out the pony who had just ran in.

"Hello?!" Missy asked, squinting her eyes.

Emerald looked over at the alicorn, and smiled unconvincingly. "Uh...yeah, hi." Emerald wasn't used to being greeted by strangers, because of her past she was a castaway, a loser. Emerald glanced one more time at the alicorn, and started digging through the shelves-looking for a book that might possibly have a clue on how to get her Aunt back.

The red pony disappeared somewhere, everything was too blurry for her to make anypony out anymore.
"Hey, where'd you go, i can't see you." Missy  flailed around with her hooves, but instead, she just fell over.

 

(The knock to the head affected her vision. Unfortunate)

A loud bang caused Emerald to panic,Emerald flung aside the book she was reading and went to go help the alicorn. "Woah!" Emerald said, as she helped the purple alicorn into her seat. "You okay? break anything?" Emerald sat accross from the pony, incase of any more injuries.

Dog Ears had taken his annual trip to Ponyville so he could talk with Fluttershy about their similar businesses. He had been disappointing to find that she had not been at her house, and even more so when he found she had disappeared. He made his way to the library to see if Fluttershy's friends had gone missing too. When he got there, he saw two unfamiliar ponies at the front. "Um... need any help?"

(Just a side note, we won't be able to get around Ponyville easily, due to the aforementioned "Children of Chaos", little black demons, sort of like changelings with red eyes and no horn.)

 

"I'm fine, i just can't see very well, hey, there should be a pair of glasses on a table somewhere over there, can you get them for me?" Missy asked, flailing a hoof in a random direction.

And by the looks of it, so is Twilight. Of course I wouldn't assume the worst, but if you say that your Aunt is missing, then that's really the only explanation we have."

"Yeah, well thanks for that.I am just so worried about her, I mean-what if something happened? Who are you, by the way? I am afraid I forgot to ask your name,  oh and I am Emerald, just so you know."

(OOC: Sorry, gonna be busy today, and on weekdays, I'll be able to post on weekdays around noon GMT -6, not for another 3 hours though, going to eat however. Might be on on my phone.)

 

Al Capony woke up wearing some sort of demon disguise, when did he put this on? He looked around and noticed he was in his bomb shelter in the Everfree Forest, he didn't remember coming here, but he only comes here for emergencies. He stepped outside, locked the door, and headed to Ponyville, noticing that it seemed like a ghost town, "Hello? Anypony here?" He yelled, walking towards the library. "If this is some kind of prank, I have a few pointers for whoever pulled it!"

"Last thing i remember is a flash of light, Twilight screaming and then nothing until i woke up. So what exactly happened to them. I probably have a concussion along with visual impairment. Now i have to wear my "smart glasses" to see, it's really weird and i do not like it." Missy thought.

But before he could make it outside, The thing heard him coming, and flew away.

"Oh COME ON!" He yelled.

"Grr.. Better look up a way to kill a pest."

He said, as he flew to the library.

"Huh. Is ANYPONY here??" He said,

as he went through an almost empty ponyville.

He entered the Library, Seeing the trio.

"Hello! Hold on a sec, I think i know you.."

He said, pointing at Missy.

"Ah yes! You wouldn't be Missy Starlight by any chance would you?" He asked the alicorn.

"Cuz, Twi was talking to me,about her newest student, Two days ago and i never forget a name. Anywhoodle.. My name is Richard Eakman."

He smiled, then looked at the destruction.

'Same thing.. Everythings scratched up.. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE?!'

He thought.

"Yes... that's me, you must be an acquaintance of Twilight's, as for what happened and who caused it, i really couldn't say." Missy said. "I was knocked into a cupboard and it caused some minor retrograde amnesia, but that doesn't matter, we need to find out what has happened, if there are ponies missing, we have to find them."

Emerald looked at the others and smiled fakley. She made her way to the door, to be greeted by a stallion.

"Oh hello! Come inside, it must be freezing out there." Emerald held the door open while the pony name his way in.

"Something stole my food, And i have every intent in punishing them." He explained.

Emerald glared at Richard. "I lost my Aunt, the only living relative I havr. So don't syart complaining on pointless food that you can by in almost any store in ponyville. So stop thinking about your stomech for one second and start thinking about how this could be affecting other ponies."

"WELL IM FROM A DIFFERENT DIMENSION, WHERE, ALL MY FAMILY MEMBERS THINK I AM DEAD!" He yelled at the top of his lungs.

"Sorry about that." He said, shying away.

"Im not normally this loud. Oh, and forget what i said. That NEVER happened. Understood?"

He said, hopefully.

"It seems we all have selective amnesia, and I woke up in my bomb shelter, so there must be some serious [bUYSOMEAPPLES] going on. I only use my bomb shelter for emergencies. So there must be an emergency, and I suggest we all head back to my bomb shelter, at least until we find out what's going on."

[The Ponyville Critic 304]

A growling comes from outside, Missy closes the door with her magic and peeks out the window.

"What are those things?" Missy asks. There are pony-sized creatures with red eyes and wings, stalking the streets. A purple pegasus appeared out of a doorway, she screams and is quickly taken by one of the creatures, a flash of green and she's gone.
