Some insight from brony's

I just want to know what goes on in your head, maybe not how you interact with the world, but what goes on in your mind.

I always judge people based of their quality of person, i am usually a very good judge of character to.Some people try to judge others based off what they see the personal as, maybe poor or just lack of understanding of the person, leading to dislike and lack of interaction with them. I judge people off their actions, and try to understand as many different social clicks as possible. This has opened my mind to many ideas some people might overlook. For example, the people in my town that listen to metal, and smoke pot and commonly misjudged as bad people, while in fact allot of them are trustworthy and rather intelligent  This also has affected the way i see music, i don't see different types of music, but rather different music that speaks to different people. i know allot of people who express themselves heavily through music, including myself. Sometimes i think of quotes that relate to my life, not all of them are mine, and some might sound like quotes that already exist, but here are some i really like.

you WILL be heavily judged on how you treat other people.

fear is a byproduct of ignorance.

project your insecurities on other people can be harmful, at the end of the day it doesn't solve them, so don't.

you can try and hate me, but the only thing i find insulting is your ignorance.

the more effort we put into something, the more pride we take in it, this applies for yourself and other people.

i don't play society says, that's why i am different.

opinion is about perspective, peoples opinions that matter to me the most are those who have the ability to understand different perspectives while maintaining their own.

I am just looking to see what kind of philosophy you guys think about.

I'm open minded and neutral towards everyone.

Sometimes I judge on looks, sometimes I judge on intelligence, but most of the times, I have to personally thing for a while to see what do I think of them.

Usually, I see everyone ok and great as a friend, as well as everyone here on the forums.

I usually don't judge people by their appearance, I judge them on their actions. Sometimes, I can forgive and forget when it comes to generous people while someone who acts rudely and nasty to people I'll judge them right away when I get to know them first.

I was just formulating an answer in my head but it turns out somebody already posted it! ;)

But yes that's exactly my thought process when seeing someone.

I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, and it hurts when they betrayed me, and makes it that much harder to give that away. I forgive and forget, but their is a different between forgive and forget and not letting it happen again.

I think we all have our biases and do judge people based on our perceptions of them to a certain extent but the key is realizing this and trying to work on it so we can more effectively judge people on their actions as opposed to stereotypes and false perceptions. Because I grew up with Autism and was thus was often stereotyped and misunderstood I understood what it was like from the outside looking in and it made me more compassionate and understanding toward people that society would deem as strange. I try to see people as individuals and not just part of groups as not every case is going to be exactly the same because people are fairly complicated.

Great topic.  Thanks for starting it.

I feel like I've learned enough from MLP:FiM that I can justify telling the following story.

I really wanted to go to Bronycon this year.  I mean I really, really, really, really wanted to go.  I probably could have, too!  But I shouldn't take off two weekends from work in a row.  You see, every year, I also attend Otakon with my friends from College.  It happens to have been in exactly the same place at the same weekend timeslot, only one week later.

So I had a choice - Go to my cherished Bronycon and be filled with the metaphorical love and tolerance from within and without that I've come to love from such an amazing and wonderful community,  or I can go to something I'm less enthusiastic about with my friends from College.

Which did I attend?  It's simple.  What is the name of this show?     That usually blows peoples' minds when they realize the ramifications of that.

Friendship is indeed Magic.  I converted at least five people to Bronies that weekend at Otakon because of that alone.

----------------------------------------------

I can also write entire essays on the values and virtues that can be derived from MLP:FiM given the proper perspective and understanding of what's happening, and nobody goes all Devil's Advocate like a jerk.   Everything from Derpy's voice and eyes to the representations of the Elements of Harmony to Racism to countless friendship lessons to family values and so much more.  It's possible to learn all of these lessons.

Oh also Fluttershy can completely destroy you with adorableness.
