Hi, my name is Kaspars. I'm from Brocēni, Latvia. I've been hooked on ponies since summer of 2011, but i just recently decided to join any communities based around this awesome fandom.

In my free time i'm learning to draw when not messing around on guitar or with music production software.

Great to have you here GoldenStrings! It's always nice to see another brony/pony-lover on this here's forum! 

 

There's an Art Section on here where you can share your drawing skills and music. So I think you should be able to fit right in! ;)

Unfortunately i have not yet made something worth posting anywhere. I got Adobe Illustrator just days ago, so I'm just learning my way around with it. Same applies to pencils, picked them up last month after not using any for 8 years.  :derp:  I believe I might be able share some of my work quite soon.  :)

Hey kaspars! Welcome to the forums.

 

Being American I have no idea where um, the word I can't spell is :P.

 

But regardless happy to have you!

 

I started drawing because of the fandom, but I'm still pretty terrible xD, still I do it on ocasions. But being busy with school and band I don't draw very much, pretty casual.

 

I tried to learn guitar, but kinda lost interest and gave up.

 

I play trumpet though. Have for like 5 years or something. I was going to teach myself keyboard, but I've yet to make much progress there.

 

Never made any music and dunno if I directly had plans to exactly.

 

I thought about singing covers for some mlp songs, but I still need a lot of work there :P. I'm still only maybe a decent singer.

 

But anyways, best of luck with whatever you do here! And most importantly have an awesome time!

I suppose you mean my hometown? It's a small town in the western part Latvia, which is a small country in Northern Europe.  :)

I've watched enough NHL to know how difficult it can be for native english speakers to even try to pronounce Latvian words especially names. To me it is quite entertaining watching commentators struggle saying the names of Latvian players.  :P

 

I used to draw a lot when I was a kid, but MLP inspired me to rediscover the joy of drawing again.

As for music, I don't take it too seriously. For me the most important thing is to fun with it.

Haha yeah, really for anyone pronouncing or spelling non native names and such is pretty difficult.

 

Heck I'm really not even that amazing at English in the first place :P.

 

Not to mention plenty of times even just with English people they mispronounce names, of course it's mostly because their names are from different languages, but yeah.

 

I didn't do much drawing myself, I kinda just started with ponies, and I do stuff digitally on GIMP. I only have a mouse to so yeah :P.

 

Regardless I'm not a star artist that's for sure, I just do it very casually :P.

 

I don't take music that terribly seriously, it depends on what it is, but yeah.

 

In marching band im serious during practice and shows and stuff, but playing in the stands not quite as much :P.
