So hi guys any 40K fans out there? yes? anyone who liked the bagillion year old game space hulk? yes? two for two all right. Well it appears game workshop has put out a remake of space hulk with the blood angels as the protagonists. Now as much as I loved the dearly departed THQ I am so damn sick of blood ravens so this alone was a refreshing change. Sadly at a metascore of 56 (6.4 user score) it doesn't seem to be all that well liked but if you got nothing better to do with your $30 and enjoy a decent turn based strategy go ahead and give it a try, Here have the trailer to watch at your leisure.

I was curious about it but then I watched TotalBiscuit's first impressions on it and then decided I didn't want to buy it at all.

that's how I found out about it :) love the WTF is and that's a fair enough choice it's nothing really to write home about but it does kill some time and is enjoy able to an extent. but yeah it's just one of those games you enjoy slightly or hate

Yeah, its a game that I would pick up if it went on sale, but not for its current price tag.

It still looks interesting, however. :P

Space Hulk is a brilliant game.

At least, the second edition is. I have access to that, so I don't need to buy the new one.

Does need a price drop though, along with a lot pretty much all of GW stuff.

Total Biscuit did a pretty accurate review on that game, and pointed out several flaws. If I had a better PC, I would still like to try it out. At least, if it was a little cheaper. Hopefully, they will make a patch to fix most of the frame rate and crash issues.

I would like to see Angry Joe's review on Space Hulk, since he is a big fan of Warhammer 40K.

I'd rather pick up the videogame than pay 100 for the boardgame, especially since the boardgame is always sold out the day it comes out or before via pre-orders because of Space Marine players, and sometimes tyranid players, who basically see it as a discounted price mass-model kit. Not that I blame them; if my box of terminators cost $100 USD for 5 of course I'd buy the board game with 10 uniquely sculpted terminators + Genestealers for the same cost. Last I heard they were the same scale.

Of course it's impossible to find now so I'm settling for finding a copy of the rules. Once i get those what do I really need? 6 sided dice? Nothing special every gamer has 50. Square grid board pieces? Cardboard, pencil, ruler and a pair of scissors so here I go.

Terminators with the special weapons allowed in the game.

Unless I'm mistaken the game really is as basic as this.

I actually have a Space Hulk Death Angel card game. It's surprisingly simple and plays smooth. No need for figurines or anything, since it's all played on cards and little tokens they provide you with.

I'm actually very interested in this game and I really should pick it up on Steam soon.
