My OC haz the sad now.....WORK IN PROGRESS.

Last night i was listening to a song by Redlight Kings : past the gates and got inspired to draw Lucid in his trademark hoodie all sad. The main reason for this is because i have never drawn him in anyway to show his tail or his cutie mark. Its a work in progress and still needs tweeking, a tail and a cm to be added and i will update that later tonight when i finish him up.

for what its worth, i only started drawing back in February, you can draw like this too you just have to be patient and go slow. if i could give any advice at all it would be to invest in gooood drawing equipment, lumagraph pencils and really really good erasers!! papermate makes these little black flat egg shaped erasers that are the bomb! and there like .99 at walmart. i actually have a video im making thats about a hour long that shows my process of creating the drawing i make and the materials i use and where to buy them, just keep a eyes out!

Man, you make me realize how bad I am at art xD.

 

Of course to be fair I do stuff digitally with a mouse, and way more casual since I don't really have the motivation or work ethic to improve much, plus I have school and band and other stuff that takes up lots of my time.

 

Anyways, I love it! Are you planning on coloring it? I mean it's already awesome the way it is, just wondering.

im not the best with batponies but i can give it a try if you like. a friend of mine in the knoxville group of  bronies  or da KGB (hehe i made funny) seems to be pretty slick with them! she pulled this number off, off the top of her head i think.

well if you just need the mane i think i can get right on that later to day. can you get me a bit of a bigger pic so i can get a good idea of what your going for. it looks like you kind want the bangs off of cloud chasser but smaller and more pushed down and pull over of the majority of the mane to the leftside. 

question do you want the hair to fall behind her ears on infront of her ears?

This is pretty nice, man. Did you use a base, or anything like that? The sizes of pretty much everything is very proportionate. That seems to be the issue most have with drawing. It looks a lot like the show, but with some extra shading. Good shading, I may add, it's very three-dimensional.

i did use a referance for the body and hind quarters, but from the hind quarters forward was all freestyled. thank you for the kind words, shading is my favorite part of drawing! it really makes the drawing pop! its not my best work but it was soooo much fun!

ok to all that are requesting from me, once i finish up mah ponie then i shall start with yalls, most likely tonight at some point, i will shoot everypony a message when im done!
