Should the first space-travel ship(futuristic) be named the USS Enterprise?

I voted that the first intergalactic space craft we successfully design should be named the USS Enterprise. Initially, I considered voting no due to the issue that it may not be taken seriously - but the reason you provided for voting yes, that it would give symbolism to the idea that what we dream can become reality, resonates truth with me. What we dream has become reality in the past, and it can and will continue to become reality in the future. The origin of all is in thought. Naming our first successful intergalactic space craft the USS Enterprise would be a great way to symbolize that truth in a monumental way.

I don't think so. It should have a more creative name. Something remarkable to mark the point in history when man finally created a ship to explore the universe. A name that sounds awesome. I can't think of any names off the top of my head, but just something amazing will do.

I think the first intergalactic spacecraft should have the rights and freedoms to be able to name itself.

Because we are a people of liberty, and not ones to deprive spaceships of their rights.
