"Go to the bow chasers in the forecastle. Get everyone there ready." ordered Swift. "Have you forgotten your drills already?"

@@Alex Kennedy

"Yes, of course. Assemble the marines. It's too early to anticipate the possibility of a boarding action but it is procedure to assemble, with good reason." Swift rambled.

Swift looked out of the spyglass. One of the ships was clearly a merchant vessel. It was afire and sinking rapidly. The other vessels was a sloop, less than half the size of Resilient. Normally a ship like that could easily outrun Resilient but it appeared to have lost a mast in the fighting. It wouldn't be going much further.

"We'll be upon them in two hours I'd think." Swift estimated.

Jaeger saluted. "Yes sir right away." he said as he turned to go, but stopped a few feet away and turned his head back. "No, sir just a bit rusty thats all." he chuckled as he galloped off to the ready everypony that he was responsible for, he slightly remembered the lay out of the ship in his mind for directions.

@@Norman,

((Come to think of it, I don't really know how one would go about assembling the marines beyond sounding the alarm, which you already did.))

"Aye, sir." Gladius headed back down below deck and began making preparations in case he and his men were going to end up seeing some action. He had to admit that he rather hoped they would. After all that... whatever it was that had happened with Caly, he could use something to clear his head for a while.

@@Norman,

"Captain, I came as soon as I could, what shall I do? Shall I prepare the cannons? Load the rifles? Cast an invisibility spell on the ship? Or should I change to my pegasus form and scout the area?" Connor said in a rush. "My guns are ready, and my sword is sharp, say the word and I will have it done."

The size limits on signatures is ridiculous...

Caly heard the alarm ring and flew up the mast, looking out for the ship, and watching her shipmates react to the situation. She looked to the ship, but couldn't see if it was the Blackrock Hollow. If it was... she hoped her shipmates would allow her some revenge. She held her cutlass in her mouth and waited to see if they would be traveling to the other ship.

Swift was slightly frustrated by the constant flow of questions. It seems an entire week of drilling wasn't enough. Let's hope they're less clueless in real action he thought.

"Go to the larboard midship! Damn it!" Swift yelled.

Swift raised his looking glass to his left eye and stared at the battle. The merchant ship seemed to have sunk by now, but there were more ships in the fray. There appeared to be a second pirate ship.. It was considerably larger than the other vessel. He knew that design of ship. It was an Equestrian frigate, 36-guns. Whoever these people were they seemed to have captured one. And another ship, bearing the Equestrian naval jack. He recognized it well. It was the RNS Corner Creek. Swift and gone to school with it's captain, Post-Captain Salinity. She was experienced and levelheaded. He only hoped she'd be able to hold on until the Resilient arrived.

The wind was strong and Swift estimated that they would be within range of the enemy with the hour.
