Non-bronies talk about bronies

I dunno, I think the Sonic fandom has us beat by three-quarters of a nose.

Or, in this case, have us beat by three quarters of a quill.

Regardless, they're like the original Bronies when it comes to the sort of stereotypes we're associated with, for example, the whole autism insult and having billions of OCs is shared between our two fandoms.

i have been on the internet for about 6 years and i have never seen on of these "sonic fandoms people. is their like a website for them or something?

The sonic fandom doesn't get on the news because it isn't exploited as much. The sonic fandom is much MUCH darker than the MLP fandom. You thought cupcakes was something? That's not even scratching the surface of sonic. I guarantee you the only reason no one delves into the sonic fandom is because its so damn creeepy,

Looking at the date of the video itself, it seems to be old news. But yeah kind of weird of them to be talking like it's the end of the world. Let people enjoy the cartoons they like and keep your misinformed opinions to yourself.

Eh... there are some websites out there, but I haven't looked at them in so long some of them might not even be around anymore. But if you want a taste... search for "Sonic Passion". I don't think the website is still around, but there are dozens of articles and pictures of the place.

My favorite part was when the said that bronies were trying to escape the reality of Obama's economy.

Why do people always think liking MLP means something, or is a symptom of something? It's just a show that we like. It's not all that complex.

I think it depends on the Brony you ask

For me, My Little Pony is another interest for me, though it is definitely one of my bigger interests. Some Bronies have made it clear that it helped them through tough times or that it feels like a family. All of these are fine reasons.

As for escaping from reality...

Isn't that the point of any entertainment?

I ment more like, pundits are always saying things like, "This must be a reaction of the declining masculinity of America" or "This is Obama's fault". As in, liking MLP is caused by some flaw in America or in our own mental health. I didn't mean to imply that it wasn't fine to be emotionally attached to he show.

Right, I getcha.

Well to be fair, people do the same thing with any new phenomenon that happens. Heck, they made movies about Dungeons and Dragons like "Mazes and Monsters" because they didn't understand what people saw in it.

People fear things they don't understand, and it's just a case of that to me. They look to "logical" reasons for why something is, and I guess for some a "decline in masculinity" or the current administration are those "logical" reasons.
