Beside who need to buy Hasbro to get MLP I wasn't under the impression was going to give away a cash cow like mlp. It would take some deep pockets, and vision in the world of animation that's soarly lacking in todays world. In a perfect world I would suggest 3-4 companies, but realistically who else has the bill fold and the will to use it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvTYhrZUgYY flight to the finish. i continue to improve,
Magpie 623 September 19, 2013 Share September 19, 2013 Hasbro has no reason to sell mlp, EA doesen't make shows, and a partnership between EA and Hasbro does not mean ponies. Do you know how many things Hasbro makes? The number is appaling. Transformers would sem more like something EA would make a game from, not MLP, and EA isn't going to drop everything, hire a whole tv production staff, and start making a show.
pinkiefan1287 610 September 19, 2013 Share September 19, 2013 Well after thinking about it for a while I have an opinion on this. If you ask me, none of the companies that have been listed should take over FIM. First, it's hard to believe if Hasbro decides to not make any more season of FIM, that they would sell or let another company buy the rights to it. It's one of the few franchise they own that appeals to girls. So they can save the money by not making the show and just sell the toys and in a few years make a new MLP show. Transformers is proof how hasbro works. Now for the other companies. Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon I think would be the worse to buy FIM. We have to remember there is more to this franchise then making a good show. It's also selling the toys. CN and Nick aren't really the best when it comes to selling toys. You see them in Toys R Us, but they are never sold out items. So I don't think they would have that ability to do that. Now Disney has shown that they can sell good toys and make really good shows for kids. But when they want to appeal to the group they want to sell it to, they do a good job at it. They would make so we would not want to watch it or even look at it. Also Disney may want to do more songs and less stories for shows. Pixar is a movie company. They don't make TV shows. Even if they were given the chance to make a TV show, I don't think they would want to make a show that is already existing. They would want to make their own show, based on a movie they have already made or something of their own ideas. Now of course the big problem with all 4 companies is that, they are going to want it to be made their way. They would change voice actors, animators, and maybe everything. So it wouldn't even be FIM anymore and just be some other show. So we all just need to accept the fact that FIM is going to end one day and no company is going to be able to save it. Still this is just how I see it right now and I could be wrong. Still it well happen. 1 Made by Gone ϟ Airbourne
~Silver Essence~ 2,625 September 19, 2013 Share September 19, 2013 (edited) EA isn't called the worst gaming company for no reason, if they handle this, we are all doomed. I'd say Nickelodeon, but they won't do much, and cartoon network could pull it off, yet disney channel might, although it won't feel the same..... I'm undecided, but as long as it's not EA, I'm okay with it I guess. Edited September 19, 2013 by Metal Sonic

You should understand the definition of corporation, EA doesn't need to buy the whole Hasbro. They just need to shared stocks in Hasbro in which proving that they do have influences in that company. EA doesn't need to manage the whole Hasbro, all they can do is to buy some shares in Hasbro then throughly influencing the Hasbro. From this, we can have the suspicion that EA does influenced Hasbro that why we have seen Hasbro's greediness and making-unfinished works-but-published (Equestria Girls). All that attributes are very familiar to EA. Edited September 19, 2013 by ReaperOfSouls

I don't you didn't read all my posts clearly, i am trying to make a point that Hasbro is losing its founding values on MLP especially after the bouncing of Lauren Faust. Equestria Girls is the best example for that so i have about 50 % interests in S4. In case if S4 sucks, i want to hear all bronies ideas for the best developers to inherit MLP legacy. I've been trying my best to be kind, really, but can you even make a coherent sentence? I didn't say a damn thing about EA buying Hasbro, Equestria girls is non-canon, and quite good. But seeing as it is non-canon, it doesn't have a single god-damn thing to do with season 4. Now stop changing the topic every time I break one of your flawed arguments. My main goal is to ask people's ideas about who would be the developer will be able to improve MLP more superior than what Hasbro did. That is all! No more talking about EA right here.
Fergus Mo 21 September 20, 2013 Share September 20, 2013 Sell MLP to Valve. They'll fix it, before ruining it, before fixing it again in a vicious cycle of constant 3-month updates. But seriously, every one of the animators nowadays has a major flaw, and are all mostly for the $. So...nopony is.

Misterian 118 September 20, 2013 Share September 20, 2013 The weirdest thing is, the first company that comes to to my mind to replace Hasbro is Nintendo. I know it's bizarre, but hear me out. I mean that I think specifically someone should get Nintendo to buy Hasbro and thereby put themselves in charge of Hasbro's assets and copyrights. I know Nintendo is mainly a video game company, but they've been known to merchandise their intellectual property. If that should happen, if I know Nintendo, I suspect they'll allow the cast and crew to continue to run the show as they see fit, in exchange they allow Nintendo to make a video game franchise out of MLP:FiM. Or at very least keep the show afloat, as they must be well aware of the success MLP has been and why it is so popular. And Nintendo is known for treating their employees fairly, Meghan McCarthy and the others I bet would feel quite content working with Nintendo. Or maybe I'm just stating some wishful thinking on my part, who knows? And if Nintendo does pull off some Why don't we ever see humans in Equestria? they're hiding, the ponies stole all their clothes.

long gone 8,929 September 20, 2013 Share September 20, 2013 Yeah, hate to break it to you, but that ending was all BioWare's doing. Also, the only FiM game I'm aware of is the *(vomits in mouth)* Gameloft game. Did EA make games for previous generations? THQ (RIP) made previous-generation MLP games. On-topic, EA? Owning stock in Hasbro because they have a partnership with Hasbro? There's a difference between just simply signing an agreement and owning stock in a company. Does Nintendo own stock in Sega because they agreed that the next three Sonic games would be Nintendo exclusives? No. EA is more interested in buying stock in (or downright buying out) video game companies, not toy companies. EA does not produce toys or shows meant to advertise these toys, they produce and market video games. They have nothing to do with MLP or how it's going to continue. The bottom line is that EA does not own stock in Hasbro, and it's silly to believe that they do because they signed an agreement with Hasbro to develop video games based on their IPs.

And, Silly filly studios is not a really company and didn't it take them a year to make their episode? So either of these would work. Mars Caramel 319 September 20, 2013 Share September 20, 2013 (edited) This thought actually really scares me. I can't possibly imagine what would become of the show if Hasbro was replaced with Cartoon Network, Disney, Pixar, or *shudder* Nickelodeon. I know MLP was originally created by Hasbro to sell toys, but I'm sure most of us know that isn't how a cartoon should be treated, despite its success. In my opinion, Hasbro should only be given the boot if toy sales are really all that matter to them instead of actually making a high-quality cartoon for kids and their families to enjoy. If it actually happens though, Cartoon Network is all I'm hoping to replace them. I remember growing up with Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, I would like to give Codename: Kids Next Door a shot, and Adventure Time and Regular Show seem to be as big of a success as MLP. Most of Disney's cartoons are just plain bad, and I'm just not a fan of the style of most Nickelodeon cartoons. And I don't think Pixar's 3D computer-generated ponies would match up.
