"The element will drag on my whole personality making me a less easy-going pony at times, and like you just saw, try to take over from time to time" he said depressed

Rain sat there. "YOU were the happiest pony?" she said incredulously, but in a teasing way.

She suddenly hugged him. It's not your fault. You made a big sacrifice for the good of others. That's all anypony can ask for.

As though just realizing she'd hugged him, Rain blushed a little and pulled away. "You should get fixed up," she said carefully.

"Uh it should heal its self in a bit" he said laughing.

Rain had forgotten about the shadow ponies in her worried state and jumped up. "Uh, yeah, so that's good," she stuttered, trying again to sound uninterested like her hugging him was no big deal. She coughed a little bit. "Uh, did you end up drinking that blood earlier?"

She too turned to the shadow pony. "Yeah, who's next?"

Six was silent the whole time, he had stayed out of the way so the others could tend to Shadow. When Rain hugged him though, and then blushed, he felt as if his world went out from under him. But he didn't feel anger, nor jealousy, only sadness, a sadness that made him realize that his chance of finding love was dwindling faster than he could get it back. His heart knew he would continue to have these feelings for her though, even if she didn't return them. Swallowing his pride, he stood up and slowly walked to Shadow, "Glad to see you're alright" he said quietly, then turned to the shadow pony.
