Seeing as it's that time of year. I thought I'd post a couple shots of my previous jack-o-lantern carvings.

This one was sort of peanut shaped, so I went with it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And this last one is the annual, big one. It actually says "Happy Halloween" below, but it's sort of hard to read in the image.

Oh wow ^^ That last one is really cool!

 

I'm going to carve my own pumpkin in a bit. I usually just do the classic triangle eyes and one-toothed happy face... Teach me?

The detail on the second one is great as well. It's Dracula, right?

Yes, that one was Dracula. The big one was actually based on a drawing I had done some years before.

The trick to it is remembering, the deeper you cut, the brighter the light will be.

UPDATE! Here's my pumpkin from this year! It weighed around 100lbs, couldn't lift it myself.

It took me about 3 hours.

Oohhhhh! Those are super cool! I wish I got to carve pumpkins this year, but they ended up being really expensive in my area, and we couldn't afford them.

You must be a good carver, 'cause these look awesome. Great job.

Thanks! I do my best, pumpkins are tricky to carve. I usually don't do carving until Halloween comes around.

 

It's too bad they were so pricey, usually they're only like $5-10 around here, but we have a lot of patches around. I don't know how much this one cost, my parents actually found it somewhere for me.
