Just my two bits: It's your RP after all and I don't mind waiting if you prefer: but twenty is a lot. Just from experience it might be easier to start with less and let more members join as we go along.

 

I am hosting a RP where we started with about eight members and it got difficult to keep up with posts very quickly because everyone tries to post at once when it starts. Once it quietened down a little I reopened applications.

 

Also, I don't mind bringing a second character to make up numbers if needed: I've got plenty.

I can also make OC's on the fly. I'm an open minded person who can help make anything out of the blue. No need to worry about getting so many people right away. When people see the RP thread, more people will come.

Yeah i think we do havesome people who seem very involved with there RPs in here already. So i mean if all of us keep up with the story then we should be good. I was also thinking that we should like cue in when somepony is supposed to talk. Like if we are making it from scratch then Amethyst Star should like find a location to build and then start finding ponies to help her or some ponies would run into her during it? Assuming your a her. Sorry if your not

How about this. Star and some other people will start eh RP by finding a location to start building. After a few, more ponies start to show up. Some are found others walk to the encampment. But over all, everyone comes to this location one way or another. And also i say that we each get one color for the dialog for our OC's

When I RP each of my characters has a set colour (Scribes is blue for example) and that way I can post as two different characters easily...

 

Example:

 

"What the buck are you talking about now CS?" Asked Scribe, causing Cinder to cock her head as if such a question should be obvious.

 

"He means that its easy to tell us apart when we're talking!" She said in a deadpan tone. "Really? You couldn't figure it out?"

 

"Oh... Yeah I knew that!" Lied Scribe as his cheeks flushed with embarrassment.

Seems like we dont have that many people at the moment... how many is it now about 5 - 6 (havent counted) Like I said though, I wont have a lot of time to do this but I can try

I think that's a great idea. Why not do that. I don't see anything wrong with it. Also I might lower the amount of members to 15 if needed.

It truly does not matter how many people are in the RP. There can be a One on One RP that can turn into an epic adventure. It all depends on how well we interact with each other, and to tell the stories of what is to become. Only then, even with few numbers, will an RP become an adventure one wants to be part of. Let your imagination out and take control of what is desired in your heart, Hehe!

It might have an ending or not. I think it will end when I give up on this RP. So, probably awhile.

Big update! Okay, guys. So, when were waiting for some new members I think we should come up with what type of government we should have and whats the currency of our country. My ideas are Republic, something similar to the US government, and the currency should be Gold coins or nicknamed Goins. XP

well we see how the US government is working. Granted a Republic is a good idea. ADemovracy gives too much power to the people. And a Dictatorship give too much power to one person

 

Even though some dictatorships are a small group of people.

 

We have alot of options

Also i think we should still stick with Bits. All of equestria uses Bits and i know we are a new Settlement but it can get very complicated creating a new currency and determining its value in comparison to the Bit.

Fantasy government - because nothing in the real world is perfect. Put the smartest character in change of technology, the most military minded in change of defense, ect. ect. 

 

Sort of like a much more advanced version of a tribal structure.

 

And I'm also in favor of Bits.

I don't think ponies want an ex-assassin roaming around the settlement. But that is what's going to make my part all the more fun, hehe

 

Before i forget, this is going to be my idea we can toss around.

 

First off, Amethyst Star is going to be the one who will lead the settlement. She will begin the RP with a flash back to where she found the place to form a place for ponies to live. When that is over with, everyone else will put in their posts of how they came to the new settlement. They will list off their skills and what they can do to help around to make her ideas become a reality.

 

Every once in a while, a disaster will happen where Star will have to select some people from the settlement to go resolve the problem. On a rare occasion, some monster will attack and the ponies will have to defend. There will be times where it seems all hope is lost, but the ponies determination to live at this place drives them to succeed in overcoming all the obstacles that nature throws at them. Ponies will fall in love with one another and help further the population that will grow throughout the settlement. From that point forward, the ponies will expand their territory. Ponies come and go, people die and others are born. This is the story of how ponies can come together and build from nothing into a place to call home
