Night Blade finished his smoke and tossed it into the sea. "I see no reason for us to spar. Now if you will excuse me, i need to work on the mast, Captains orders." He said, getting up with his bag on and trotted over to the mast. From what Razor said, it would take him a while to get it fixed. Nonetheless he was determined to be the first to fix this. No matter the cost.

 

He opened his bag and brought out all his tools needed to repair the broken mast. He took out his measuring tape, but when he got close, something felt...off. It seemed that he could hear a whisper calling out to him. He shook his head to get rid of the thought, but it still lingered in the back of his mind.

"You misunderstand, it's not a choice" Black Heart growled as Night Blade walked off. Oh well, Cascade Swirl would probably be a better challenge, especially if the two teamed up against him. The Jersey Devil wanted a challenge and if it meant waiting for Cascade Swirl to team up with Night Blade, so be it

After a long while, Moon found a good room to set up shop in. Though she couldn't see, the room felt spacey and allowed for her equipment to be put where she wanted, which is what she did. She began pulling out antibiotics, bandages, alcohol, some surgical tools (since she has had some knowledge of surgery) gloves, and all that good stuffs that was from the medi kit there. From her left saddlebag she pulled out some more medical stuffs and the lucky shell Moon's daughter gave to her. She set it down on top of a counter then sighed, then finished setting the rest up.

Once that was done, Moon appeared on the deck again. She went over to where the crows nest was and flew up, landing up on the railing where Ocean was. But she didn't know that the mare was there, so she just played on. "Ooh my god, I wish I could see right now. Crescent Moon comes in a week from now thankfully, so 3 nights I can see, yeah. 3 nights, lets make it worth it."

@~Crystal Fire~ Once that was done, Moon appeared on the deck again. She went over to where the crows nest was and flew up, landing up on the railing where Ocean was. But she didn't know that the mare was there, so she just played on. "Ooh my god, I wish I could see right now. Crescent Moon comes in a week from now thankfully, so 3 nights I can see, yeah. 3 nights, lets make it worth it."

 

Ocean glanced up over her journal, raising an eyebrow. "You can only see on the crescent moon?" She asked, placing her notebook in her lap. "Which obviously means you weren't always blind...and whatever made you blind must be magical. What happened? if I may be so bold to ask."

"Hm? Oh my, I didn't know you were there!" She spoke, turning around to face Ocean and hopped off from the railing. "It is a magic lock actually, one that unicorns are working on right now to fix. Ever since 18, my eyes would always glow and i'd feel much better whenever a crescent moon rolled around. I guess it acted as temporary sight as well since that's when my vision comes back." Moon paused for a moment, trying to remember what happened. "Anyways, what happened was childbirth. Don't ask me why but I guess just the sheer amount of pain from my baby Sirius coming out abnormally was what caused it. I can react with magic if a horn touches my body since i'm able to use a few spells here and there. So what the unicorn Scientists are thinking is that my body might of used a spell to keep itself safe from harm, probably because if it didn't then I would have really gone blind.

 

Oh, and just saying, my daughter is a unicorn and the horn cut through the wall. It hurt, bad."

"Heck, I might even give some of my own life energy if you convince Night Blade or Cascade Swirl to spar with me" Black Heart said, caressing Moon with his tail.

Night Blade sat near the mast the captain asked him to see if he can fix. Lucky for him, he brought along some spare iron scraps to act as a cast till he can get some material to fully fix it. He placed one piece down and struck it with his hammer. Upon contact with the mast, Night Blade was sent flying backwards into the wall of the Captains room. Shaking off the impact, he looked up in time to see a large crack go all the way up to the crows nest, "That's not good" he muttered aloud.

She replied and slowly pushed the tail off of her, even if she liked it. "Besides it gives an opportunity to Ocean here, probably can help out future causes of this happening."

Moon looked over to Blackheart even if she couldn't see, but shook her head. "I think i'll be fine without a life drain spell, but thank you anyways." She replied and slowly pushed the tail off of her, even if she liked it. "Besides it gives an opportunity to Ocean here, probably can help out future causes of this happening."

(I'm a little confused as to how two ponies and a dragon can fit in the crows nest...but okay O.o)

Ocean looked over to see...whatever the thing was.
Rather than looking surprised or frightened, she just raised an eyebrow, focusing more on this...beasts...words, than his appearance. "There will be none of that. If that spell goes wrong somepony could die. A potion however, if made right, the effects would either be fantastic, or harmless. In my years of professional potion making, I've never had a problem with a pony drinking one of my potions. Now if you would care to lea-" She was cut off as the mast shook, a crock shooting all the way up.

Ocean grabbed the railing for support before leaning over to see..."THE BUCK YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?" She yelled down to Night Blade, obviously pissed.

Moon was rocked by the mast, falling off the crows nest but stabilized in the air and flew back up to the dragon and pony. "What the.. What was that? Did something happen just now? Earth quake, something?" She said a little worried and held on to Ocean for support.

Night Blade smiled sheepishly and rubbed the back of his head, "Sorry about that. The captain wanted me to try and fix the mast. He said something about it being cursed, and...well...when i tried to fix it, some strange force sent me flying backwards, and then the crack appeared." Night Blade trotted back over to the mast and examined it once again. "Maybe is i use that, then i can see what is wrong with it." He thought to himself.

"Darn right you're sorry"  Black Heart snarled as he jumped down from the mast. "You nearly blew apart my favorite nest" Black Heart screamed. "You could have blasted the ungrateful Ocean, whatever her name is to pieces and I wouldn't have cared, but Celestia forbid you blast apart my nest" the Jersey Devil screamed. "No more stalling, either you or Cascade will fight me now or I swear I'll suck you dry of your life force until you look like a crushed soda can!" the beast roared, spittle hitting Night Blade's face.

Ocean patted Moon on the shoulder. "Its alright Moon, the mast just...did a thing." She said, in a comforting tone before reverting back to her pissed state, following Black Heart down the mast. "Night Blade. FIX IT! Black Heart. Its my nest, not yours. I'm the navigator and that is where I will reside for the rest of my time on this ship. You get your nose out of this and stop making death threats or I think everyone on the ship will agree to throw you overboard. And stop it with those pitiful attempts at intimidation." She said, giving Black Heart a death glare before looking back at Night Blade, giving him the same look. "Fix the mast."

Night Blade rolled his eyes "Alright, alright, I'll fix it." he said ignoring the threat from Black Heart. The base of the mast may be the problem, and the large crack would do nothing if he tried to fix it. Assumptions aside, he flew to the crows nest and began working on the crack. To his surprise, nothing happened when he put metal castings on it to hold it together. "This is about as much as i can do for now. If it really comes down to it then we will have to get rid of the mast and build a new one." Night Blade said hammering the casts.

Black Heart's body trembled with fury. Nopony had ever denied him before and for one to do so was a personal slight against his pride. "You wretch" the Jersey Devil growled, not sure who he hated more, Ocean or Night. Either way, Black Heart wanted someone to pay for this insult. Black Heart clambered up the mast, his eyes burning with fury. "Take this, you rat!" Black Heart screamed before attempting his vomit attack on Night Blade.

Ocean grumbled something about stupid ponies. "As leading navigator I demand you both STAND DOWN!" She yelled, stomping her hoof. "I am a higher rank than you both and if you don't stop now, you will be at the bottom of this ocean before you can speak." She yelled, stomping her hoof again, a small wave rocking the boat from side to side as she did so.

Night Blade looked at Black Heart, his red eye flashes. "Is that what you truly wish to do? Or do you just want everyone around you to accept you and not see you has a monster?" he said standing his ground. It does not matter whether or not he attacks, Night Blade will not fight for no reason.

"Ha! I am no monster, I am the Jersey Devil, Lord and Master of All Evil Dragons" Black Heart snarled. "I am a fighter for justice and I can already tell that you're a corrupt individual that deserves to be wiped out" Black Heart screeched, losing what little sense he had in favor of fury. "I've killed over 400 criminals and Equestria has been safer because of me" the devil hissed, drool stringing off his mouth as he did.

IF YOU DON'T I WILL CUT YOU UP TILL YOU'RE BODY IS IN PIECES." She yelled, pulling out another two knives and spinning them up the mast at Black Heart. "And on a personal level, if you ever say anything that sexist again, you will suffer. I don't care what you've done for Equestria, nor do I care how powerful you Think you are. You will pay."

Black Heart screamed as he ripped the knife out of his leg, blood dribbling out. Black Heart then focused his energy and pop! the wound was healed, at the cost of the Jersey Devil's stamina.

 

"D-damn you" Black Heart growled as he staggered off to lick his broken pride. "You only won because of a lucky shot, but still, you've earned some respect" black Heart growled as he settled underneath the sail. "Maybe you're somewhat good" the creature grudgingly admitted while glaring at the navigator. "Still, a fair fight would be better" the Jersey Devil mused

Night Blade finished patching up as much as he can do for the mast, but left alone the base. He heard Black Heart scream and see him fly back down underneath the sail. "Serves him right." he mused in his mind. His stomach growled, letting him now that it was time to eat. He then trotted off to find the chef and get something to eat. He pulled out another cigarette, lit it, inhaled the toxic aroma and poisoned his body further.

"Guess every knife I throw is a lucky shot too." She said, using her magic to pull the two knives from the mast and the other one from where Black heart had thrown it. "Wise up, or you'll be kicked from the ship." She grumbled. "For someone so noble and amazing as the "Jersey Devil" you have some growing up to do. Being on this ship will help you. Two rules. Don't cross me. DON'T look down on me because I'm a mare." She said, walking over to Black Heart and holding out her hoof. "Lets hold off on fighting for a bit, alright?"

Moon was scared of Ocean's voice. She never heard her talk like that before, not ever, so she backed away to a wall and cowered there. Truly she was a nice leader, so she earned her position well.
