Hey, I had updated the character page for my OC (Now called Crankshaft). I kept the plot of his story, but I expanded on his personality and backstory, if any of that makes a difference.

@, Understandable... i do have two OCs that are one changeling and one pegasus that could fit into the hero category. Though they are kinda similar and you would have to only use one of them i guess.

You can go ahead and use this creature as a villain.  Seeing as it was created to be a long dead animal, one that can't talk for that matter, it doesn't have a proper name.  I've been calling it Ghost Creature(not much of a name but that's what I think when I see it).

It was not originally meant to be in the pony universe and therefore can't(and won't) be put in the roleplay section.

I also won't put this particular backstory in the deviantart description for the same reasons.  (but I feel it can be easily transitioned into the ponyverse.)

 

This creature lived content in the wild expanses of Everfree when the forest was much larger.  Part of a species of solitary animals who spend a short time learning to hunt and live on its own from its mother before venturing off on their own, this animal is well adapt at a life of hunting for its food and living day by day.  When hunt's weren't going well and hunger rose it found itself needing to venture out of the forest for its next meal, and most of the time that meal was an unlucky pony.  The animal did not kill out of spite or maliciousness  but knew that if it did not continue feeding, it would parish.  Little did it know the true reason its supply of prey was dwindling.  Well-intentioned ponies had been herding the monsters main diet out of the Everfree to tame and befriend them, as I imagine cattle, pigs, sheep and even chickens had originated from the wild forest.  The ponies had unknowingly forced his species to look elsewhere for food, and damned themselves in the process.

Action was taken by the farmers and villagers who suffered great losses to the monster, be pony or farm animal, and a brief pact was formed between the ponies and griffons.  Ponies would pay the griffons great amounts to rid them of what they had come to call 'terrible beasts'.

Over time the creatures numbers dwindled, and finally the last one was hunted down and killed.

It was not the creatures fault, it did what it had to in order to survive and was not of high enough intelligence to think otherwise.  Feeling its death was unjust, the monster roams all around the lands surrounding what remains of the Everfree forest as a resentful spirit.  

The 'bite' you read in the deviantart description can be interpreted as a reminder from the beast that it is still there, spitefully defying true death.  (the bite is extremely painful and debilitating and remains so even after the teeth are extracted.  Leaving the teeth in is a death sentence.*this is also how it hunted in life, having the 'magical' ability to regrow them after prey ran off*)

Ponies should be wary when an unscheduled fog suddenly rolls around as it is never really a fog.  They should run or a bite will be the least of their problems.

 

The description will have a small warning not to use the artwork but I leave it there for everyone else and don't want to remove it, it doesn't apply to you or this case though.

I really apologize that this was so long,  but you wanted development right? And if you can think of a name for him(or it's species) feel free to slap it on.

Can I maybe have a character profile link from here? It is slightly confusing that one and there is a lot of pointless information which is in the way of the possibly good stuff, I would like to use a character of that nature because it does seem interesting by what I've read, but I cannot get really get to it.

 

 

I am unsure what such a profile would contain, would it have Name: xxx, Personality: xxx, Background: xxx. Or is there something else you are after?
