Man this place is desolate. Rigel thought as he looked out in front of the group. He brought out a few bottles and snapped them into several lenses. He levitated them in front of his eye and adjusted the distance between them until by were in focus; a makeshift telescope. He looked out as far as he could. Something caught his eye.

 

"hey Garth, looks like there's a little rocky outcropping over there." he said pointing towards a small grey lump in the distance. "it doesn't look too far, maybe a few miles. It'd probably make pretty good shelter for the night."

Dusty smiled. "Not being able to sleep, huh? My friend, I don't envy you. Well, goodnight everypony." With that, he leaned up against the nearest rock, tipped his hat over his eyes, and began to fall asleep.

Arriving at the rocky outcropping, Garth and Raek divided up the shifts and the group went to sleep. Garth took the first watch, then Raek, then others.

Masquerade awoke. His eyes were red again. He looked into the sky and saw that it was a clear day. He decided to go flying.
