I wouldn't have thought that Daring Do would need to literally be saved by RD to come around to her.

I'm glad she did. RD had found a character to look up to, and it's no fun time when irl and who you were expecting are completely different.

FRIENDSHIP FINDS A WAY

I would like to think that Rainbow Dash wrote that herself, as fanfic, to pass the time until the latest canonical installment was finished. Then, at the end, a pony who looks suspiciously like Rainbow Dash is on the cover of the new novel.

I'm still going with "Didn't really happen." If one of the cover models happens to look like Dash, that's just a fortunate coincidence.

Rainbow Dash's behavior in this episode was very grating. Sure, she saved Daring Do—but apparently she didn't need saving (since she supposedly planned all this to get in, which I doubt since the M6 had no issue), or at least the save wouldn't have been needed if Dash hadn't been in the way at every turn.

However, Daring herself is awesome, even if she slipped up once or twice, and her banter with Ahuizotl was the best part of the episode. I'm pretty sure they're crushing on each other and both are too prideful to admit it.

...Come on, you know I have to ship it. It's the law, or something. :derpy-dash:

You know, that's often true, and she isn't corrected for it.

Exactly. I actually like Dash, but she can be very, very obnoxious, and she's rarely called out for it.

I wanted to scream at my computer when Dash said, "You're lucky I don't [work alone]." I wanted to say, 'What? NO! No, she's not! Respect her privacy and go away! This is your fault anyway!'

Hmm. Is Daring Do supposed to be learning a lesson that everything's better with a friend along? If so, I agree it's a little broken.

It would fit with Twilight teaching a friendship lesson to her own hero, Star Swirl.

I just rewatched Daring Don't earlier and In my opinion, the Mane 6 were all inconsiderate and annoying for traveling to bother A.K. Yearling in the first place.😒

It's making me think how funny it was that Pinkie learned that sometimes you have to leave people be, but the rest of the Mane 6 (maybe outside of AJ and Fluttershy) tend to bother more reclusive characters and tell them that they must have friends.

In MoonDancer's case, she really did want friends but as for Daring Do, she was alone for safety purposes.

That's a good point. I guess a friendship-based show will always lean heavily on the idea that everyone should have lots of friends.

It would have been very interesting if the Mane 6 had met someone who had successful friendships but still didn't want to be their friend. That's a situation kids will encounter, after all.
