Nik sat down with her, not hungry from the energy of the duck.

"Hey...what kind of boundaries do you want me to respect?" Nik asked, not wanting another fiasco to occur. He flinched as he saw her eat the berry. God, he hated plants. Meat and grass pokemon were all he ate, vegetables and fruit were no where in his diet

"How about when we come to them, I'll tell you?" Melissa asked when she finished eating her berry. She plucked a few blades of grass and intertwined them to make something completely random.

'At least he isn't doing anything wrong, besides not eating berries. But that's fine, he mustn't be hungry.' Charlotte thought to herself.

Nik grumbled as a bug crossed his foot. His tail whistled as it lashed forward, squashing the bug.

"Hmph" Nik snorted, wiping the bug guts off on the ground. He noticed Charlotte looking at him and gave her quizzical look.

"Who is she?" Nik asked, pointing at girl

Melissa looked at the teacher he was pointing to. "That. Is a teacher. She said that her name is Charlotte but she prefers Lottie." Melissa answered.

 

Charlotte's eyes widened when she heard the two talk about her. She can't help eavesdropping, her ears picked up everything!

".....Is she a Lopunny?" Nik asked bluntly, deciding that only acute eared gjinkas would be seeming so interested in a talk so far away. "And if she's eavesdropping, do I have permission to scream?" Nik growled dryly, realizing just how annoying spies were....not that it would mean anything to him, his leech seed spies were still everywhere

"I don't think you are allowed to scream. Do you really want to ruin her hearing? What am I saying? Of course you want to ruin her hearing but she's a teacher!" Melissa said quietly. She was extremely positive that Nik didn't want to scream at a teacher.

 

"Why do you want to scream at me?" Charlotte asked as she walked up to the pair.

"Empirical purposes" Nik replied cryptically, looking her over. Definitely a Lopunny. If it had been a student, he would have made a crack about the fact that rabbits ate their own crap. "Tell me, have you ever heard a Hyper Voice attack?" Nik asked innocently, widening his eyes and pouting to try and make himself look adorable

Charlotte narrowed her eyes at Nik. "That face isn't going to work with me and yes I have heard one. I don't plan on hearing it again anytime soon." Charlotte said as she looked down at Nik. Melissa looked from teacher to student worriedly. 'If he does what I think he does then he'll be in major trouble.' Melissa thought to herself.

Althaia walked up behind Lottie and glared at Nik. "I've got a question for you then Nik, have you ever been hit with a Smack Down so hard you would be tasting dirt for a week?" She asked. Threatening a teacher carried a fairly heavy punishment, but that didn't mean that she wouldn't like to toy with Nik a bit, put him in his place.

Nik flinched and stayed still, not daring to move. He cringed at the last time he had felt that move.

"Lets see what you've got!" Nik snarled, having just seen his team get decimated by that Sceptile. The Sceptile flicked his hand and a boulder shot out. Nik barely had time to blink before he was hanging off the edge of a cliff. The Sceptile pulled him up, smirking. "I don't want you to die before I've had my fun"

"Y-yes I have" Nik whimpered, practically shrinking

Charlotte placed a fist under her chin. "I would compare the experience to an extremely loud burst of static. Have you ever been hit by a Quick Attack followed by a Jump Kick?" Charlotte asked Nik but when she saw him flinch she just smiled.

"I got hit by Volt Tackle and Hi Jump Kick" Nik offered, deciding that the Lopunny was nicer than the one right behind him. "It was a brother/sister team, good at team attacks" Nik recalled, laughing at the memory. The Pikachu and Hitmonlee were members of his gang and Nik had pissed them off many times, usually by stealing their stuff

"Then I recommend you quit with your questions and shove a Petaya berry in your mouth to keep it that way." Althaia demanded, picking one off a bush and throwing it to him, hoping he wasn't a fan of spicy or bitter foods. "And keep in mind that threatening teachers isn't a smart idea."

Charlotte just sighed. "If I were you, I'd quit acting like everything is all hunky-dory. Otherwise I'll Jump Kick you so hard yo'll be flying into next week." Charlotte threatened. She placed her hands on her hips and swivelled her ears for a bit, trying to see if there was anything to distract her hearing.

"Now that is rude" Nik chortled, smirking a bit. "After all, what did I ever do to you? I simply asked a curious question and you start threatening me? Tsk, tsk, tsk" Nik clucked, shaking his head in disappointment. This was a terrible idea, but he was fairly sure it couldn't be pinned on him

"Oh don't you play dumb with me. It's a fairly commonly known fact that Buneary and Lopunny have extremely sensitive hearing. With your history at this school so far, it was fairly obvious that you had malicious intent." She stated. "Now I suggest you mind your own damned business and stick with your girlfriend." Althaia crossed her arms and went back to the wall where she leaned up against it.

"Lottie, I think we're done with him until he does something stupid." She said.

"I am deeply wounded" Nik sighed, placing a hand over his heart. "A bit of friendly advice, next time, control your temper" Nik said, keeping a stoic face. "People respond better when they're not being sworn at" Nik explained, flicking some dust off his nails and acting like he didn't care

Charlotte walked over to Althaia and sat next to her. "I don't think we'll have to wait long for him to do something stupid." Charlotte said. She then pulled out a couple of larger-than-average ear plugs. "And teachers don't respond kindly to threats." She said to Nik before putting the ear plugs in.

Rune made his way from the track to the berry garden, meeting up with Synthia along the way. "So, about how long do you think it will take for everyone to make their way out of the woodwork? I mean, everyone who was in our dorm this morning and Melissa were the only people I saw awake so far." He asked.

Charlotte saw the nod and put some music on at the lowest volume. Due to her sensitive hearing though, it sounded like it was way way too far above maximum. That's why she rarely puts music on, if at all.

Synthia had gotten lost again. He found her looking at a map. "Who knows. With the power out and the weekend here, most people probably won't leave until they're hungry. So we probably won't see Koh for a while. Maybe Lolita though." She smiles and hugs him.

"Can we kiss?" Nik asked, deciding that was a good boundary to start with. "Just tell me so I don't go in fast like I did before" Nik clarified, looking rather nervous. What if she thought he was pushing too hard already? That wouldn't be good

Melissa's face grew bright red at that. "Uuh, only when we're alone for now. This is the first time I've had a boyfriend and let's take things slow for now." Melissa's voice went higher then normal when she spoke. Melissa tried to slow her breathing and tried to calm down so she wouldn't have a panic attack. "Sorry. For now, we'll kiss when we're alone and if we both agree to it. Sound fair?" Melissa asked him. At least her voice was back to normal now.

"Grab my hand, I know somewhere cool" Nik smiled, putting his other hand to his forehead. He was ready to teleport to a place he liked a lot that was rather private
