So... here we are. Now before you start typing, It turns out Brian was never going to be gone permanently. In fact it was a lesson from Seth Macfarlane to cherrish your time with your loved ones, a sort of christmas time message if you will. So, looks like Seth went Princess Celestia on us.

still, i think it's still a bit of a phony. i think he was meant to be gone forever, but they just got too much negative feedback.

Was there ever really any doubt he was not gonna come back? I mean they replace him with a mediocre dog (though I love Vinny) and still have him on their facebook wall. I mean, come on! And plus, there were two episode names released before this with Brian's name on it so it was pretty obvious.

 

Though I will miss Vinny. I liked him better than Brian.

Ah yes, I didn't think they would seriously remove Brian from the show (even though the opening tune was edited to include Vinny). I know what an April Fools joke is, and this is definitely one of those (in December). And yes, Seth went Trollestia on us.
