gaming Animal Crossing help

So, I been recently playing Animal Crossing: City Folk for the Wii. I am simply asking a question, for I am confused.

 

Well, of course we all should know Tom Nook. And how he is the raccoon salesman of your town, and how he can be obnoxious sometimes, yadda, yadda, yadda, you all know. The point of the store, is well...a store and he sometimes sells things you already have, don't need, or NEED, or just want because its neat. Well, I thought he should simply sell, just about every furniture, except the ones you can obtain by certain holidays, or at that GracieGrace store in the city.

 

I like to use the furniture series, like different ones. I been trying to obtain ALL of the Regal series. I like to switch series every once and awhile, im just weird like that. I take this game seriously sometimes xD

 

Well, sorry for babbling, but my questions.

 

ISNT NOOK SUPPOSE TO SELL STUFF THAT IS NOT REPEATED EVERY TIME I WALK IN THERE?!!?!?!?!

 

I dunno if its a glitch, but he NEVER sells anything new! I always see the same stuff, ALL OVER AGAIN. Like he sells almost half the furniture I already own, the same carpets and wallpapers EVERYTIME, and Im TRYING to complete the Regal series by needing the CARPET and I think a few more things, but NO! I been playing that game for years now and EVERY TIME I go in there, NOTHING new. And even if it IS new, like them "Spotlight items" its something I DONT NEED.

 

Heck, sometimes I go to Crazy Redd's shop, because HE SELLS STUFF I NEED! Even though, sometimes you have to watch him....he can trick you.

 

Anyways, please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I REALLY hate that font...

 

To the question, this depends on what you have. If you have already bought a bunch of stuff, then the chances of this are pretty good actually. New Leaf does the same thing. I see things repeating constantly. It is the luck of the draw. It can get very annoying at times, I agree.

That is the thing, I am unsure if it is a glitch. City Folk is the only one of the series I have not played. It doesn't sound like a glitch to me though, just bad luck.

Tom Nook is based on a Tankooki not a racoon.

I know right?

But anyway, this probably isn't a glitch. You may just be unlucky.
