He was in Germane when the war started. As an american citizan he was trapped in the country. Because the only front was the  and Russian front he fled that way. Well all the zombie stuff happened so he was even more trapped. He was able to get himself a kubelwagen (A german four seater scout car) loaded it will fuel and drove across the wastlands. He found himself a PPS 42 and plenty of ammo for it (The Russians literal equaped entire divisions with them). Now he just drives through the wastes collecting what food and fuel he can just trying to get back to America... if it even still has ponies alive...

He can speak basic German and broken Russian. He can also speak french but that probebly dosn't matter... I know that sounds OP but think about it. He is an adventurer. He goes around the world. He knows many languages. If you want you can stripe him of speaking Russian or something, I"m fine with that.

A medic? He's not in the military so... I guess a medic. He would be in the wasteland. He is in a town close to Doc Volt and Chetnik, about 10 miles away.

Okay, but even if not a soldier, he needs to be in a certain class.

Well make him a medic. If medics can't have anything besides side arms then make him a machine gunner. I guess a PPS 42 is a machine gun.
