"I'm surprised you don't know me yet..." He stumbled to his feet, barely keeping his balance as he could not bear to place the burned forehoof upon the ground. "Then again, I haven't really introduced myself to all the members of your little group."

 

He tried to laugh, but what came out was more of a joyful sigh, "by what I've heard, you must be Steel." His face turned from a happy one to a serious one, seeing how Steel tried to cover something from Shadow's gaze he came to the conclusion that something was being hidden from him.

 

"I should've known these things had a defense mechanism!" He bellowed, having the hunch that Luna was somewhere nearby and able to hear him. He held up the bracer for all to see, even the most... Bland of ponies should realize that this was no bracer of mere metal, especially anyone willing to feel the heat or aura coming off it.

Steel growled at him "what do you want" Steel said swaying slightly on his feet nectar if the blood loss he was still bleeding "I swear if you try to hurt this group I'll end your pathetic existence" steel coughed up more blood and spit it out he was trying to stay upright

With eyes of swirling green Whisper leaned forward into his ear "You are still needed my stallion..." she whispered; her voice mixed with another mature one. Her glowing eyes closed and she got so close their lips almost touch. With a gentle sigh a light green wisp tinged with gold traveled into Wanderlust, imbuing him with strength and energy. It was a warming feeling, a calming touch from Mother Nature saying The World still needs You...

"I want this... Thing removed," Shadow gestured his bracer towards Steel. "If I wanted to use violence I would not go so bluntly about it, you wouldn't even know I was here before the dagger was in."

 

Sighing, he set down once again, the bracer was hurting slightly less now but there was still the problem of his missing magic. "I need Luna to remove this, whatever she or anypony else did to it I'm not in the mood to have this thing welded to my flesh."

Steel laughed as best he could "I don't think you know who your dealing with" steel said "besides Luna probably won't be able to help you that loks like it came from a sunshard but who knows..." Steel trailed off into a coughing fit he feel down and closed his eyes accepting his fate

(Sorry for the delay, I cranked out a rather large villains post while working and still waiting a little for ForeverFrozen so things will make sense whether Steel dies or not)

 

Mad Dog and Alpha Rex stood in the Toxic Swamp looking at the burning and broken stump. Rex's voice was disgusted, "the old fool was too daft to actually fear that herd and face them accordingly. As an ancient grand seer I would have expected more, his death is more a blessing to reveal how weak he really was."

 

There was a burbling hiss from the stump as a thick mixture of sap started to ooze from it's core, the sap was a mixture of deep purple, neon green and a luminous gold. Bubbles popped on it's surface releasing words, "watch your tongue whelp." The sap suddenly geysered up before rapidly solidifying into an arm like a drowning man struggling to grasp land from under the surface. It violently gripped a broken part of the stump and pulled, more of the sludge like sap spilled forth becoming a figure lurching free of the stump. It was gasping for breath as if it hadn't breathed in hours, in truth it had been millennia since had last breathed, the gasps became manic laughter.

 

Mad Dog merely rolled his eyes, "so what? You were just playing dead Hexxus? I'd always heard you were dramatic but I had expected you to have some respect for your equal."

 

Hexxus stuck out a long goopy tongue, he seemed to shift between being a solid diamond dog and a creature of living slime. He pulled the tongue in with a slurp, "I'd hardly call you my equal, I've stolen much more than you, I stole from both the sun filly and the moon filly, I stole from a sun shard and from a demon! I let them destroy my tree so that I could free myself from it and use a body of MY choosing." He paced slowly around them, where ever he stepped he left behind a gooey paw print that scorched and killed the earth. Alpha Rex turned slowly his paw on his weapon, Mad Dog remained motionless but his diamond eye turned in his skull watching the Grand Seer.

 

When Hexxus struck it was too fast for either to respond, one second they were free and watching the Slimy dog and the next they were spider webbed in his tendrils of sap, the goo was not an attack it was Hexxus small heads formed by each of the dogs ears, "both of you combined would still be no match for me, but maybe I should steal all your powers as well? I don't like opposition, are either of you opposition?" The two dogs shook their heads, "good" Hexxus released them.

 

The clop, clop, clop of a hoofed slow applause sounded from nearby, all three dogs spun to face North Wind standing no more then 10 feet from them. His voice was haughty, "Now that was quite the display, what fun. You all will serve me well."

 

There was a blur and Hexxus fell frozen solid still 5 feet from North Wind, he shattered but the icy slush started to form back together to remake the Grand Seer. Mad Dog's voice was a stammer, "I-I saw you! I saw you in a vision, the Alpha's and Seer's bowed to a filly before you and those that didn't slept beneath the earth!"

 

North Wind grinned, "yes my Princess you will serve her and ME."

 

Alpha Rex growled, "I'd rather die than serve a pathetic pony!" He fell to the ground an ice shard through his face.

 

"Granted." North Wind's voice was full of a dark glee.

 

Mad Dog was shivering uncontrollably not with rage at the death of his son but with fear of his own vision and the casualness which this thing had just killed a pack Alpha. He fell to his knees and bowed squeezing his eyes shut hoping to not suffer the same fate as his insulant son.

 

Hexxus had now reformed and stood between the bowing seer, dead alpha and monster ice stallion. He looked uncertain; North Wind merely smiled and looked at him curiously, "as you were an order of magnitude stronger than them I am the same to you. In that instant you surely sensed it, now bow." Hexxus' face was a snarl and full of menace, yet still he slightly inclined his head and bent his back.

 

North Wind's voice was full of mirth, "good enough for now... Come I have use for you both."

Willow wondered what those voices were. The certainly couldn't have been Whisper Woods. "Wanderlust? Are you okay, Wanderlust? What happened? Was it the magic?" Willow started getting worried, first he had lost his memory and now he just used a tiny bit and collapsed.

Embers laughed as he looked down at his sword "Yes, Trust me, I know all to well that they are stupid" He said with a laugh as he looked over at lightwing. He shook his head and tryed to get to his feet, using his sword like a cane as he walked over to steel and looked at him

Wanderlust stared at Whisper or Mother Nature inside Whisper, she was trying to calm and soothe him, to give him peace and strength. It all worked, he felt stronger and was completely calm but he still felt fear for Whisper. He didn't know if Mother Nature was dangerous to deer like she was to ponies, he certainly hoped not.

 

His voice was now steady and calm but had a bit of an edge to it, "I decide whose stallion I am miss and I appreciate the concern, I don't plan on going anywhere that I can't help but Whisper better be okay and whole under there." He knew he had no place talking to one of the strong intelligent forces of the planet like that but when she had controlled his body he had almost lost his mind and knew as much as this thing cared for life it rarely considered any single life for more than a brief moment and if Whisper was hurt by her he didn't think he would ever forgive it.

 

He looked over at Willow, "yeah, Willow everything is okay now. It was just me using the magic a little too forcefully. Everything is okay..." He looked up at Whisper, "...everything is okay, isn't it?" His voice was uncertain.

Famine wasn't exactly certain by Embers reply, "S-s-so that's a yes they are st-stupid but should I save him? I m-made his wound pretty bad when that-t-t angry one that smells like d-death grabbed me, don't know how m-much time he has. I c-could help him right now."

Embers looked at his sword with a shake of his head "Yeah, I would save him, it might save the wrath of this group from me" He said with a chuckle as he walked over to steel and glanced down at his sword "Well, what would you like me to do then, stab him another times?"

Steel looked to at him "your done enough embers I'll die soon enough with out your sword doing anymore damage" steel said as he coughed up more blood "at least have some honer I'm in no condition to fight and that's clear so leave me be" steel was still clutching his dagger

"She comes under no harm but she does not want to come back" she said. "I need her and your party to fulfill this conquest. Fate has tricked us Wanderlust and we are not pleased. Our Body is ruined and Our children are gone." Whispers voice was strong, it was her body but it just wasn't her.

Famine gave a laugh that sounded like a little series of yips, 'N-no n-need, I'll do the w-w-work.' Suddenly the wound in Steel's chest was gone completely healed in an instant. But a wound like that couldn't just disappear and the change was too fast to be healing.

 

Instead the exact wound was suddenly in Embers chest, all the blood that spilled from that wound from Steel was gone like it had never existed, it was back inside him. However a fountain of blood equal to what Steel had lost sprayed forth in that instant. Famine's voice was cold, crazy and had a sick happiness to it in Embers' head, 'I-I told you it would be p-painful to heal him, I meant f-for you.'

Embers smiled as he fell over on his side. "Well, I guess this is what I get for cheating on are game of rock paper and knifes" He said with a weak laugh "Just make sure that your next owner doesnt cheat" He said with a smile as he looked up at the stars, already feeling dead

Steel was shocked but fast anyways he had dug in his bag pulling out two needles and a pump ((I rolled amazingly since he's type o he's a universal donor that is if my memory is correct)) he stuck one needle on his fire leg and the other in embers and began pumping blood into him as he worked on closing up the wound with a rusty needle and wire

Famine let out a peal of girlish laughter, through her laughter her stutter was especially bad, "O-o-oh my, O-oh it's too good! The l-look on you're f-f-face!! All u-u-ugh I'm g-gonna die b-b-blargh! T-t-that smile make's it-t even better, y-you really thought-t I was kill-l-ling you!!" She started to get herself back under control, her voice still full of good humor, "G-glad you-u understand why I did it like that, t-totally revenge for you cheating! But-t no I'm not looking for a new wielder yet, y-you're too much fun. B-besides I would have had to do that to heal him anyways, t-t-that's a power of mine to defend myself against a w-wielder I don't like any wound I inflict I c-can turn back on my user. So don't piss me off again o-o-okay!"

 

She gave another little giggle, "b-besides as my wielder you're stuck with me as l-l-loooooong as you live, so I get to annoy you forever! M-much better revenge to keep you alive... H-hey look the jerk you were trying to save is now t-trying to save you now! G-guess he doesn't hate you too m-much... I'll start helping you h-h-heal, I'm gonna make it extra p-painful though! So enjoy ya b-bastard!" She sounded extra cheerful at the end of this.

Wanderlust was confused, "she doesn't want to come back? Why wouldn't she want to come back? Whisper never just gave up before, I don't believe you." He now pushed himself away from Whisper, "I don't plan on letting this group fail, I'll give my dying breath to see them succeed and to all end up happy and safe. I give you my word on that, but it includes her, I'm not going to let her become just some puppet for you! Isn't it enough that you're magic is going to destroy my body? Don't you take her away from me too."

 

He was starting to overcome her calming effect, "none of us are pleased with what's happened, fate seems to have conspired to screw us all, Tartarus, you seem determined to screw me, all I hear is that you're magic is going to poison me, turn me into a beast and now your going to take the only person from my past I have left? What do you want from me?! Why me?!"

Luna was at Steel's side with Astrid on her back, she was looking down at Embers, "Steel, that's your wound... The sword said it was going to heal you, I talked to it and it said Embers wanted to help heal you. It, it did that, a weapon like that in Embers' hooves... That's a very scary thought you know how unpredictable he can be. We're just lucky he decided to help you this time."

Steel nodded as he stopes the pump he had sewed up the wound as best he could then he turns and hugged Luna not caring who saw he even had a tear going down his cheek he had thought he was a goner and would never get to see Luna or Astrid again and it had in truth scared him

"I seen her future stallion, She will give up her life to save yours." she stood tall, glaring down at him. Nature didn't bother with details; it wasn't anyone else's business to know. Nature (Whisper) turned from Wanderlust with some sadness in her eyes, she knew his pain and the magic killing him was her own. Yet Wanderlust continued on using her for good and to help others. She looked at him over her shoulder "Whisper is still here, she is reluctant to return just yet. Her mind needs to rest. I simply wish to speak with your Princess."

 

Nature strode out of the blacksmiths, looking down at Willow. It had been a long time since she had met another pony, it crushed her heart to see such a young one who has suffered. "Wanderlust" she called back "Soon you will face a dangerous decision, for your sake, I hope you do not choose The Beast."

 

With that she went to find Luna.

Embers laughed as he glanced over at the sword, he could bearly feel anything anymore, just knew that he loved whoevers soul was in the sword "Aye, I do, Make it as painfull as you like, Ill take it and live with it" He said with a smile as he looked back over at his sword "Im glad your paying me back for cheating, I always felt really bad after doing it, so thank you with all my soul" He said with a laugh as his mind kept coming into focus, then out. He looked up at the stares and laughed, not caring if steel thougth he was mad, just laughing because he loved the soul in his sword

Luna held Steel tight, she was so surprised by his tears that she couldn't even find the words to speak, he always seemed so strong to her that she always forgot he could hurt like everyone else, be afraid like everyone else. It just made her hold him tighter and suddenly she kissed him fiercely, I was quick and over in a flash but she found herself flushing a deep red as she remembered that she had just done that in full view of anyone watching including Astrid who was sitting on her back... Still she didn't withdraw far merely put her cheek against his while holding him, she whispered in his ear, "it's okay, you're alright, you're still here, you're still with us and you didn't hurt anypony while spawn was out." She pulled back looking into his eyes, her eyes where full of tears too now, "everything turned out fine." Embers seemed to be muttering to himself again on the ground at their feet but she ignored him.

Steel nodded and claimed himself still holding Luna he kissed her cheek "I love you Luna" steel said he was beyond caring is Anypony saw his softer side now except for willow he didn't want her to see his soft side because them shed just use it against him later on he broke the hug and put Astrid on his back before putting his wing around Luna

Wanderlust sat stunned as Whisper or Mother Nature or whatever trotted away from him and Willow, he just watched her go. After a few minutes he turned to Willow, "did you understand any of that? I mean that was crazy right? We're not going to let anyone sacrifice themselves for anyone else... and why in the world would I make a dangerous decision and choose something called 'The Beast' that just sounds horrible doesn't it?... That, that was just madness..." He let out a sigh and then winced, he realized he probably sounded crazy himself.

Luna looked at Steel, her face was again bright red now, "yes, well," she was very flustered, "I, feel um," it was so awkward for her, she had said this to Melody, Willow even Celestia but she had never been able to say it to a Stallion before, the words came out in a rush blending together, "ILoveyoutoo" it sounded more like a strangled cry than a phrase of endearment and her face felt like it was literally on fire.

She strode into the clearing slowly, taking stock of the ponies Wanderlust had been traveling with. She felt uneasy at the sight before her, if anything they did not look like heroes. With a green glow she levitated boulders from her path and set them elsewhere. Nature stopped a few feet away from Luna and Steel.

At those word's Luna jumped instantly straightening and trying to assume a regal of a stance as possible, recognized the voice from long, long ago, after all one does not forget meeting with Demi-deities, "Aine?! It's been so lon-" she stopped mid sentence and stared at Whisper uncertain whether her mind was playing tricks on her or how to continue, it didn't help as Steel finished his sentence in her head and made her suddenly blush again in front of what was either a normal deer pull some sort of prank or being base on an aspect of nature that had been masquerading as a deer... In either case she wishes she hadn't blushed again, "Uh, Aine is that you?"
