Steel sighed "I was busy not dying" steel said "he looked over to zecora "some help would be nice dealin with the insane is not very easy since I'm injured" steel said he walked over to embers and sheathed his sword "stop licking the ground embers of course it tastes like dirt"

Fluttershy had gotten out from under the bed when Embers had started crying with the hut door closed she could no longer see what the stallion, "Zecora, he's crying we should do something. He's obviously upset and he misses someone, can't we help him?" Still Zecora had said nothing merely continuing to look out the window with a stern face. "Zecora? What's he doing out there? Is he still okay?" Fluttershy continued to ask but Zecora still didn't bother to answer her, so she finally just went to the other window and stuck her head up enough to look out with one eye. They both sat and watched as the stallion thrashed about, it made Fluttershy feel horrible.

 

When the Pegasus had dropped out of the sky next to the crazy unicorn Fluttershy barely managed to not cry out in alarm and instantly dropped down and dove under the bed again. The unicorn hadn't looked so bad other than the fact he was carrying a sword but the Pegasus had looked scary and bad; she was afraid of what he might be like.

 

Zecora ignored the Pegasus at first, and just silently evaluated him. It was obvious that he knew the unicorn that they had been dealing with and also that he was wounded but what was concerning was the fact that his wounds were not natural wound but seemed to have been made from other weapons. This pony had been fighting somepony she concluded.

 

Zecora finally responded, "I tried to help your friend but he would not listen to me in the end. The way he responded was not okay and if you are his friend I must ask you go away." She gestured into the forest and when she looked back in to the hut toward Fluttershy motioned that she should go into the hidden hiding spot, the new one didn't know she was there the crazy one might not mention her and if they turned dangerous she would make sure the insane one didn't live to search the hut, she might be able to take them both but she was not sure.

"Look I don't really care if you want me to go I can't unless I get some help I'm sure that you're not cruel and I'm just doing my job so can you please help me or would you like to see a stallion die from blood loss because you refused to help" steel said -Luna I found embers- steel sent the thought

Melody and Willow raced down the mountain as fast as they could. The Everfree Forest sprawled before them, and was getting closer with every step. 《Come on, Wanderlust! The feeling... its stronger!》"And the two Sun Shards are close, really, really close!" When Steel took flight and left them behind, Melody cried out. 《No! Wait!》

Wanderlust slowed down enough to let Melody start to pass him then expertly used his head to shift her on to his back. "you point the direction and I'll run. You can ride if you want too Willow" He said grinning at them as they picked up speed and soon they entered into the forest.

 

Luna however was lagging behind, she had never been used to running this much. She had always used her wings and she was also carrying Runedawn with magic, "Vagabond come back with my daughters! Slow down! Steel come back!" But Steel was already gone and she knew him going to Embers was more important. She just felt left out and was not used to being treated so Un-royal.

Embers licked the ground a few more times, his lips cracking more as he laughed "No....your wrong" He rolled around abit "SHADDAP STEEL! IT TASTES LIKE CHICKEN" He laughed as he rolled around, getting bits of mud stuck in his mane as he looked up at zacora, he saw fluttershy dart out of the cornor of his eye

(Uh Steel really shouldn't be bleeding anymore and what I used on him is real too, it's called Chitosan http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antihemorrhagic he might pass out from how weak he is from the blood he lost and is probably suffering from exhaustion and dehydration as badly as Embers is. Also unless Embers is now seeing through walls he shouldn't have seen Fluttershy hahaha the concept that Embers insanity is giving him super powers is too scary to be acceptable )

 

"You do not seem to be bleeding to me, though the cause of that scab is plain to see. No, I will remain were I am safe, when you are no longer a threat I'll help at my own pace." She then closed the hut's wooden shutters and bolt them then moved to try and bolt the door.

Luna sent a thought back to Steel, "good keep him safe and secure that sun shard he's carrying. The vagabond and the girls should be there soon. Myself and the rest of the group will be there shortly behind them"

Embers sighed as he grabbbed his sword and his sun shard, then walked around for abit before biting a peace of wood and spiting it out "Yuck, It doesnt taste like bananas" He sighed and looked up at the night sky, wondering why steel had even come back for him

(Grell could carry some of the Chitosan powder mix if he has a trauma kit in the future, it's really cool and is pretty much like I described: the one we use is a yellow powder and when it mixes with blood it turns into a black/deep-red sticky jelly scab mess. It burns like a motherf*cker though. Sorry getting side tracked it's fine frozen I know what you were thinking, just wanted to let you know what Zecora and Fluttershy position/hut is like)

 

Zecora secured the door and leaned against it slumping down. Everything had been horrible before but it had been simple, she had healed Fluttershy and she could trust her, even as bad as being alone had been at least they had been safe. Now not only one but two ponies had shown up, she would have been overjoyed at the sight if they hadn't both been armed, she didn't know if she could trust them and a mistake could cost her and Fluttershy their lives.

 

"If my trust you're trying to inspire, threats will only increase my ire. A better place to start would be if your name and story you could impart." She yelled back at the Pegasus outside. She had to admit she was curious who these ponies were, how they had survived and why they were at her hut.

Embers tackled steel, grabbing his shard back then jumping off and staying the side "Dont you ever stell my stuff steel, or i shall eat you" He laughed and looked back up, wondering where fluttershy had went, he looked back down and glared at steel, he pulled out his sword

Steel kicked him off and tackled him punching him over and over trying to knock him out "I'm steel I work for Luna and I'm trying to fix the sun" steel said " and it wasn't a threat I was just Saying

Zecora was listening through the door, it sounded like they were fighting each other? The Pegasus's words seemed to ring true, at least the Pegasus seem to actually believe what he was saying but they still made no sense to her. She started to wonder if maybe both of them had escaped an insane asylum after the world had ended, a unicorn that was completely mad and a Pegasus that believed he served the princess? She didn't know but she would play along for now.

 

Her confusion was obvious though as she forgot to even speak in rhyme, "wait, you serve the princess? But then who is your friend, he serves her as well?"

Embers spat in his face, laughing all the time "Oh god steal, How I forgot how fun this was" He kicked steel of him in one move, taking up his sword "Ermergerd, Im woonas servent, ima go save da day!" He jumped around, flapping his arms as if they were wings. He laughed as he looked at steel

Embers did get flung back, but not enuff to knock him out. He laughed at steel "You really think you can kill me? AFTER WHAT I HAVE BEEN THROUGH?" He laughed abit more before puting his sword up, and looking around. He grabbed a stick and started tossing it around him

Wanderlust broke into the clearing just in time to see Steel land a punishing kick to Embers face, only for Embers to roll to his feet and ready his sword! It didn't help that Steel had his daggers out, though Embers did reduce the tension some by starting to juggle a stick. Wanderlust was confused taking in the entire situation and didn't even notice the hut behind them both, "Uh guys?! Hey what's going on? Why are you two fighting?"

Zecora's heart dropped as she heard another Stallions voice, she had wanted to believe the dangerous looking Pegasus had once served Luna and his story was true but it was too dangerous to simply accept it and now a this third Stallion's voice made her sure that it had to have been a bandit group outside her door. Why else would so many armed stallions be wandering through the Everfree forest?

 

Fluttershy's voice came up from the carpeted floorboards, barely audible, "is that another one? Oh I'm so sorry Zecora, I lead them here I'm so sorry." Zecora didn't bother responding, thing were steadily get more and more bleak but she wasn't going to give up hope even if they started banging down her door.

"Mmmmm" Embers eyed steel as the rest of the ponys showed up "Hmmmm" He smiled, and when he saw willow he droped this stick and turned white "Gosh dang it...Why did you guys come have to stop my fun? Also, did you know that dirt tastes like chicken? Its true!" He laughed

Wanderlust moved towards Embers and between him and Steel, "Steel you know that's not fair, Embers would never do anything to hurt anyone in the group on purpose and we need to help him get better."  he looked at Embers, "Right Embers?  You wouldn't let me forget who I was, so I'm not going to let you forget reality, you got that?"  he looked back at Steel, "And Steel, you won't fail Luna again.  You didn't fail her last time either, that wasn't your fault and you can't blame yourself for that.  Even the princess wouldn't want you to blame yourself for that, it was beyond your control.  I know your honor is important to you but there are more important things and you're not living to the fullest until you start to realize that."

Zecora wasn't sure what to think anymore, she heard other voices with the stallions outside now and they sounded like mares, not just mares but fillies?  and one of them seemed to be calling Fluttershy's name...

 

When Fluttershy heard her name called she jumped and hit her head against the floorboards above her hidding spot, "Owie. Zecora? Did somepony say my name?  I thought I heard somepony call my name."  The rug lifted up slightly as the floorboards lifted and she peered out looking at Zecora for an answer.

 

 Zecora had moved to the window again and cracked it open slightly to see out, "It would seem they have not one filly but two, I do not know them but one seems to know you..."  Zecora looked curiously at Fluttershy who was now pulling herself out of the hiding spot and moving to the window bracing herself to peer out quickly and go back to hiding.

 

"A filly that knows me?  Out here with crazy and dagerous stallions i don't know Zecora.  I don't know many fillies."

Steel looked at him "my life is my word and my word my life I have my word that I would protect her with my life and I failed because I didn't stop runedawn if it wasn't for grell she would be dead ,wonder, dead because I couldn't stop runedawn" steel said "and you'll never understand honer the way I do so don't act like you get it"

 

Wanderlust took a step back away from Steel and closer to Embers, those words had cut deep and he couldn't help but think of what Luna had said to him and it stung.  "You're right Steel, I don't have honor like you do.  I abandoned my family and I'll never get to see them again and the love of my life died because I wasn't strong enough.  BUT I'm still here, I'm still alive and fighting and doing what I can and what I think is right.  I got revenge when my love died and I still take vengance whenever I can, I didn't give up and die like you wanted to.  No matter what happens I'm not going to leave these fillies behind to face what this worlds become like you would have if you had died.  I won't kill a friend to suceed or to keep my word.  If that's what you call honor I don't have it and I don't want it.  Maybe you should rethink your code, I'll keep fighting for the future you can keep fighting for your word.  But I won't let you hurt Embers because he's part of the future I want to build."  Wanderlust snorted and turned his back on Steel, "Here Embers let me take a look at you.  You look a bit beat up."
