Okay, I really want to make myslef an OC. What I am looking to make is a male Derpy. I have Photoshop, but I dont have the steady hand to make it. Is there something that I can do to make my life easier when I try to draw? (I am on a laptop, I dont have a mouse)

@@BronyParkour,

I find that a mouse will make your situation significantly easier.

As to other suggestions, given you are working on the computer I would recommend that you go online to find pictures of aspects that you like, such as head shape and mane/tail styles, then compile them together to trace the outlines and add color.

Personally I would recommend Ponyscape (A mod of Inkscape) for that sort of thing. I don't know how my friend who gave it to me got it, but if you can find it, it should help you out.

... aaaaand don't forget the Pony Creator program on DeviantArt; it's free to use, and the pics are rather simple to import/export.  Once you get what you want, you can mess with it in Photoshop.

If you want to draw you OC, maybe start off traditionally? Just use paper. If you want to do it digitally, I highly suggested a mouse or a tablet. A trackpad is very hard to use. In the mean time if you do want to make your OC digitally, you could always recolour bases. That can be done pretty easily on a laptop.
