Canon Anti-Mane Six?

Watching Rarity Takes Manehattan made me think quite a bit. I loved the episode because it finally shows Rarity in all her generous splendor, not to mention the song was just fabulous, but I was intrigued by the character of Suri Polomare. In this episode, Suri is very much an anti-Rarity by being selfish, justifying her behaviour with a "It's everypony for herself in this city" mentality, when this is very much not the case.

And as I considered this, I remembered seeing many other characters in the show that starkly contrast one of the Mane Six. And wonder: what if these characters become friends or get together in some way to act as a foil, or perhaps a rival gang for the Mane Six to take on and compete with? Perhaps a League of Villainous Evildoers Maniacally United for Frightening Fraternization In Naughtiness? 

Offhand...
Trixie would be Twilight's opposite, representing Trickery.
Flim and Flam would be the anti-AJ, representing Misrepresentation (Scamming and Swindling, right?)
Suri is the anti-Rarity, representing Self-Interest.
Lightning Dust is the anti-Dash, representing Competition.

I'm not sure about Fluttershy and Pinkie. Iron Will and Gilda come to mind, representing Assertiveness and Temper, but there are probably better fits for the counterparts of these characters. 

What do you guys think? Could something like this happen?

I don't consider Iron Will as a villain really because at the end of the episode he turned out to be reasonable.

 

Pinkie's would have to be a pony who tries to drag others down into their depression like a "misery loves company" sort of way since Pinkie is like the ultimate cheer master.

Isn't Trixie now the Great and Apologetic Trixie? I'd think Sunset Shimmer is more her match, But she is also a world away, and she was converted directly using the Elements of Harmony. 

Suri would counter Rarity's style quite nicely, but I don't think she is able to stand toe to toe with our designer.

Iron will isn't bad, just an honest businessman.

 

What would cause these "enemies" to come together anyway? besides their rivalry/hatred for the mane six.

I don't think Flim and Flam would be villains. They were just ponies trying to make money. Nothing wrong trying to make a living. Also I don't think they would want revenge. 

 

It's an alright idea, but I just don't see them coming together to be and take revenge. Seeing as 1 was sorry for what they did, 2 were just trying to make a living, 1 is undetermined of what happened to them, and I have yet to see the new episode. So it could work, but it would either have to be new villains or the evil part of the 6.

Well I like how you try to find the "anti-mane six". However I am pretty sure it would ever happen that they get together as some sort of group. If that would happen it would be the villains such as Chrysalis and Discord or something, I don't know. Also, I wouldn't say that all of those are villains. Flim and Flam are just tricky people who tries to make money and Iron Will is just.... Um.. Iron Will, haha.

While I like the concept of the Elements of Antagony, I'd much rather the roles went to actual villains, not jerks--some of whom weren't very imrepressive--who caused a little trouble that wasn't very damaging and will likely never be heard from again. Surely I'm not the only person who feels the same.

 

First off, we need to think of the anti-elements

 

Honesty =/= Deception

Loyalty =/= Treachery or Jealously

Laughter =/= Humiliation or Despair/Misery

Kindness =/= Cruelty or Apathy

Generosity =/= Greed or Arrogance

Magic or Friendship = Dark Magic or Antagony

 

 

Okay, now for the villains that could fit them

 

Queen Chrysalis: Deception

 

Discord (What, he could turn bad again! (Heck, I HOPE he turns bad again, and surely I'm not alone!)): Humiliation or maybe Misery

 

King Sombra: Greed or Despair/Misery or Dark Magic

 

Nightmare Moon: Jealousy or Dark Magic

 

Sunset Shimmer (should she ever return): Treachery or Arrogance

 

This mainly leaves Anti-Kindness. Thing is, I'm not sure how "cruel" the character could be under Hasbro's limitations And a bad guy who doesn't give a hoot doesn't sound very good, though one that makes characters not care might be interesting.

 

Also, I feel like the element of Antagony/ Dark Magic might be vest saved for last. That character would be the big boss of the Villains. They'd be the most powerful and be the hardest to take down. He or she would be the Equestrian version of Sauron!

 

 

Heck, I'm thinking about writing a fanfic, but I'm waiting until later so I don't discourage DHX from going there

I like the way you're describing the canon anti-Mane 6, but I think Chrysalis would probably start the group along with Lightning Dust since they are the only villains that I see can pull it off.
