Do you think you can tell me what you were doing when the Professor was stabbed with a pencil?" She said all this in a calm tone but it looked like it didn't have an effect.

"I was listening to the speech by the professor. When the lights went out, I was shocked, and when I saw the professor was dead, I went to the corner. It's all that I could do to help myself." Said Squeaky. "That's really all I did. Do you have any other questions for me, detective?" Asked Squeaky in a meek tone.

"No, I think that's all for now Miss Squeaky. Just try to calm yourself down." She left her tog go and peruse what notes she had. 'Let's see what I've got here. Doc. Volt sounds just plain crazy to me. Squeaky Clean's scared, doesn't trust any of the ponies here. Don't have much to go on for the others. ... I need some more information.'

"Good work, detective." Said the detective. "Now, I have to find the jewel. I'm going to try and find it around here. Once I find it, I can use the location of it as a clue. If it's hidden poorly, somepony quite crazy must have hidden it. If it's hidden well, then somepony more same could have his It." Said the detective.

"Yes Detective. If it was hidden poorly, then maybe the Doc hid it. But if it was hidden extremely well then it might have been Hunter who did it." She said quietly to the detective. She ignored Astral for the moment and headed over to Hunter.

"My associate may have already asked you this but what were you doing at the time of the Professor's death."

"The reason I said nice shot was because the lights were off and it was impossible to see. To stab somepony in the ear to where it could be lethal had to take a lot of precision to do. But another theory pops up. What if the pencil was thrown? Same principles apply. And to kill them with a small object had to take a lot of effort to enter the cranium." Guardian said to the detective.

"Trying to think of something else besides ol' profs presentation. I mean, I'm sure that it must have been really interesting to someone, but not me. So I guess you can say I just ended up counting the tiles on the ceiling. Then when the lights went out I thought I'd just passed out, and when I heard somepony scream it snapped me back into reality, so to speak."

"My point exactly." Said the detective to the other before turning to meet the eyes of Guardian. "It would have taken a lot of force either way to kill in this way." Said the detective. He kneeled down to the corpse and pulled out the pencil. It was dull. "And this explains a lot, as well. We can rule out the weak suspects now." Said the detective.

"I don't like history lectures as well, but they can be interesting when I like the subject it's talking about .... moving on. So you were just counting tiles on the ceiling and when the lights went out you thought you had passed out. Is that right?" She overhead what the Detective had said. She crossed out the names of who she thought was weak. Mainly being Squeaky Clean and Doc Volts. She wasn't too sure about the other ones yet although Astral looked like he was off with the fairies.

"Let me look over the ponies you've crossed off once you're done. I'll give it a revision if I need to." Said the detective. "Sometimes even the people you think are ruled out in fact aren't." Said the detective, before going back to his own work. "Understood?" He asked.

"Out like a light, though I guess that's silly to say seeing as the lights actually went out." with a smirk "I'd also be rather impressed with myself if I could make a move like that without alerting everyone in the room that it was me. A pony moving around silently isn't to far-fetched. But a griffin trying the same thing would be almost comical. Besides, I'd be bound to nail someone in the face with a wing, or my tail, or what have you."

"Okay, I think that will be all for now. Thank you." She backed away and headed over to the Detective. She saw him inspecting the pencil. It looked like it had a dull point but surprisingly, there was no blood on it. Why would that be? She jotted down the observation and then handed the book him to check over.

"Hopefully everything's in order."

"Wait.. You're right, there is no blood on that pencil. That must mean the lead broke in his head!" Said the detective. "That means that we can leave Squeaky out, but put Volt back in the suspects, if that point is in there, he could have still done it." Stated the detective.

"I'll put Volt back on the list." She erased Volt's name and put it back in but without a strike through it. "Who else do we have to interview? Or do we get an X-Ray to the Professor's body?" She was hesitant to ask but was glad when she did. She inspected the Professor's body closer. Seeing that there were no physical marks she decided to get as good a look as she can inside where the pencil stabbed. There was no blood. He could have suffered from having a blood clot or aneurysm but the pencil is what drove him to death.

"From who we've interviewed, we may just need to X-Ray the body. Do you happen to know where we can find or get one, detective?" Asked the detective to the other. "If we find the lead, that will show a lot." Added the detective. "We still have a ways to go, but we can narrow in."

"I don't know where to get one but I do know a spell that my sister taught me. Hang on a second." She concentrated on the spell and a blue aura appeared around her horn. She charged it up and let it go over the Professor's body. She scanned the body until she reached his head, then it was just a matter of turning him from side to side.

Well thank Luna that conversation was over, Astral was surprised he made it through the whole thing without his entire face turning red. His thoughts then began to drift back on to the topic of music cause it was the only thing keeping him sane. He pictured all of the notes flouting in what seemed like nothingness, and letters floating with them. At first they seemed like nonsense, until he put them together. The words and notes seemed to fit perfectly with each other, and then he finished making his new song. While he was doing though he really couldn't hear the detectives, or anyone for that matter. However when the song was done the blackness faded, and reality hit him yet again.

The detective slid the body around the X-Ray. Like he thought, there was a piece of lead in his head. "That explains it. Even though the piece in there is somewhat dull, anypony bu Squeaky could have done it. Although, we may have use for Squeaky yet." Said the detective.

"Maybe we should have you taken off the list of possible murderers, Astral." Said the detective, looking at Astral. You're too scared to have possibly done it. Plus, I don't think you had the strength." Said the detective.

"Take Astral off the list of possible killers." Said the detective.

She shut off the spell and it left dazed and confused for a few moments. After getting her breath back she asked the detective,

"What do you mean we may have use for Squeaky yet?" She was worried about Squeaky Clean. Looking over at the different suspects, she saw that they were all much the same although Doc looked a bit more crazy than he looked before. She nodded at the detective and crossed Astral off the list.

"We are going to need accusations from each of the suspects soon. She may have information about who she thinks did it. After then, we will need to make our own call on the matter. Seeing as you have been a great help as of yet, I'm going to leave the decision up to you, but I have an idea of who it is." Said the detective.

"Who? Me? you want me to make the final decision? But what if I get it wrong? What then?" She sighed and sat down on the ground. Her hooves felt sore from standing up all the time. Looking over at Squeaky she gave a small smile. She looked down at her notes and tried to think of who the murderer was but she didn't have enough yet.

Squeaky smiled back. "You'll do fine." She said. "I have faith in you." She added.

 

"I have faith in you." Said the detective. "I forgot to mention, the name's Light Streak. I guess I never mentioned that." Said the detective. "Don't worry, like I said, I have a good idea of who it is." Said Light, now getting up. "Would you like to hear it?"

"Your name is Light Streak and you forgot to tell me? That's fine. We were too caught up in the moment. If you want to know my name it's Golden Flames and yes I would like to hear who you think the murderer is." She stood up and gained a bit of her self-esteem back.

"I'll make an announcement of it." Said Light. Light stood on a chair and silenced everypony present. "I have deducted who the murderer is!" Shouted Light from his podium. "The murderer is none other than-" began Light. And that's about when the lights went out. Again.

Guardian was satisfied that his theory was taken in by the detective, but then soon facehoofed himself. He was an earth pony, one of the more stronger types of pony. If they ruled out the weaker types his name was still on the line as a potential murderer. Then the lights turn off and Guardian gasps at the sudden change.
