Fluttershy was a soft, and harmless mare; everypony knew this fact. She lived in a small cottage, made of wood, straw, and stone right outside the Everfree forest. She lived a simple life, and she was happy. But one day, a small animal hopped into her yard, shivering and ears up with alertness. These were obvious signs that the animal was being hunted, and Fluttershy did not want to interrupt the food chain, no matter how adorable the animal... Wait, what is wrong with that rodent? The yellow mare stuck her head up a little more to get a better view of the rabbit. Through the window, she could see it's features clearly. It had all white fur, with an adorable fluffy tail, like a cotton ball. It's paws had a little bit of a red stain, which made her shudder. Moving her teal eyes up the tiny creature, she noticed something strange. It's head was a slimy, gross shade of black with insect-like blue eyes. The ears were a similar color as the head, but they had holes in them, which the gentle pony hoped was natural. Quickly, the body colors and holes began to connect to another creature that was black with holes- Changelings! She quickly ran outside, her hooves hitting against the hard wooden stairs, and picked up the minuscule animal. She cradled it in her arms, feeling it's heart beat and rubbing her head against it's tiny body. It was a strange creature, but it was still precious to Fluttershy. Leaning up, the animal bore it's sharp teeth and bit her in the neck! Dropping the animal, Fluttershy leaped back and rubbed her neck with her hoof. "Ow! Did I do something wrong? I'm so sorry..." But then a sudden strange sensation hit the fragile mare. Her whole body started to tingle, a really new sensation to her. Suddenly, her coat lost all the fur, and her skin turned black. Her legs bore holes, getting bigger every second. Her ears had the same treatment, and she grew a new pare of wings, her old ones shrinking into her body. Her new wings were clear, and full of holes, like some sort of insect. Her smooth mane slowly grew yellow, and gaps appeared in those too. Her pupils widened, and because bug-like. She collapsed to the ground, staring at her new body. She recognized this too- she was a changeling.
