I think the show is as good as the movie since it dives into Hiccup trying to keep the balance of the cohabitation of the dragons and vikings, the episodes are very enjoyable if you ask me.

I watched the original series "Dragons: Riders of Berk" I haven't' seen any of the new "Defenders Of Berk" episodes yet.But the original series was pretty good.
