Flash gasped with relief as his friend suppressed his emotions. They were still their, but now it was manageable. He stood up before Drone could see him on the floor and composed himself just as Dash came out of the bathroom. Flash got a little angry as Drone went to slap her flank. He stopped just inches away, but Flash didn't think it was very funny. Dash hadn't missed it either. She narrowed her eyes and said "Hey! Hooves off!" She inclined her head haughtily and walked up to the Flash. She pressed herself tightly against him, getting his coat damp, amd kissed him deeply. Flash smirked into the kiss. He could tell she was doing her 'you can't have this routine'.

Drone watched them,his smile started to fade a slowly,he sighed softly,stood and turned around to walk out of the room,he couldn't stand watching them,not right now,his emotional disguise was much too fragile,he slowly started walking away,his head lowered as he sat on the couch,he was choking back the tears that burnt his eyes so bad,he bared his teeth and hit himself in the temple a couple times,saying through bared teeth "Hold it together!" he said to himself in a hiss,he said it quietly so Dash couldn't hear him,he looked at his hooves and took a deep breath.

Flash winced and gasped as Drone went through another spike in emotion. Dash leaned back and looked at her stallionfriend in concern. "Hey, are you okay? What's wrong? Flash talk to me." "Nothing, nothing. I'm fine." said Flash forcing a smile. Dash narrowed her eyes again and said "You're lying. What's wrong." Flash sighed and decided the truth was best. He just hope Drone couldn't hear him. "Its Sentinel. He's really upset. Like really upset. Its driving me insane. I have to help him. He's hurting, I can feel it." Dash smiled and said "I understand. Go ahead. He needs you."

Drone closed his eyes as he started to calm down slightly,he put in his head phones and listened to some amazingly cool rap and rock,he sighed and opened his eyes again,he shook his head as he looked at the ground,he took out his headphones and looked out the window,silently wondering to himself,'Why?..." he wondered silently before looking at the couple again,he sighed once more and looked back at the ground.

Dash looked once at Drone and said to Flash "Go. Play superhero." She smiled lovingly and kissed him softly. Then she walked up to Drone and gave him a small peck on the cheek. "Good luck." she said kindly. The she dashed out her door. Flash came up next to his friend while he watched his marefriend leave.

Drone blushed when she kissed his cheek,he knew she tasted the saltiness off his tears,but what she said,'Good luck' lead him to believe she must have known he felt bad about something,he softly rubbed his cheek softly,staring at the closed door she walked out of,his mouth was slightly opened when she kissed his cheek,but it was now closed,he looked more serious than Flash had ever seen him before,he took in a deep breath as he kept his hoof still on his cheek,he still felt the soft peck there,but he slowly let his hoof slide down to lay beside him,he looked down at his lap and he closed his eyes a moment before looking up at Flash with a look in his eyes,he had a certain...ferocity in them...it was driven by desire to know his past.

Flash could feel his friend's burning desire. He looked down and said "Well, let's go find what your looking for. There is someone else I want to introduce you to." He started walking toward the door. He reached the door and turned back. "Drone,.....prepare to meet Doc." he said with a fiery smile.

Drone blinked,"Doc?"he asked,he looked at Flash a moment before nodding and started walking out with him,he walked right off the porch and plummeted to earth,he closed his arms as he spiraled down,he opened his eyes just as soon as his wings spread,he swooped and flew up beside his friend,he looked at his friend and said,"I...I remember...something...the place...I lost my memory...I remember it had...changelings...zebras...ponies..."he said,he sighed softly and said,"It was...a lab..."he said,he looked at Flash,his eyes showing something new,something unexplainable.

Flash frowned for a moment before he nodded and said "Let's go." He took off from the cloud and flew in the direction of town. He looked back to make sure Drone was following him. He swooped down toward the river on the outskirts of town where Doc's large lab sat on the bank, with a large waterwheel extending into the water.

Drone blinked and watched him dive down,he decided to do a big dive,so he did,he angled down and he shot so fast past Flash,it made major turbulence,but he stopped as soon as he got close to the ground,he landed and waited for his friend,he knew he felt so odd here,like he needed to be here,to know his past,like he finally was flying the right path.

Flash frowned laughed slightly as his friend whipped past him throwing him slightly off balance. He landed next to him in the grass facing the lab. "Let's go." he said cheerfully. Henstrolled in through the door and called "Doc? Doc?" "In here!" called a voice. It was coming from the workshop portion of the building. He walked in and saw not one, but two ponies. One blue and one red. The red one had a red umber mane edged with black that swooped backward in a curved mohawk. He was slightly smaller than Flash and he looked younger too. "Oh, hey Firebrand. I didn't expect to see you here." "Hey Flash." said the red pony calmly and quietly. "Yeah, Doc asked me to help out with your gear." he said in his soft voice as he winked at the pegasus. "Don't worry. I wont tell anypony."

Sentinel slowly walked in,he had a look on his face,it showed curiosity,determination,and strength,he looked at the ponies a moment and when he saw Firebrand,he stared at him a moment before looking away,he looked around at all the decor in the house,he got a slight head ache as he looked around,he bared his teeth slightly as he winced in pain.

Seth was just getting into his nap when the comm buzzed him again.

 

"Damn you, you white hide mut." Seth gumbbled

 

"Sorry for wakening you sir, but the planes say they are volt. Should we let them land?"

 

"Go for it, I was wondering if they were ever going to show up here. Ask them if they need me to bring anything from their base.

Firebrand looked curiously at Drone. Flash turned and gestured to his friend saying "This is Sentinel Drone." Firebrand put down the sodering gun he was holding and walked foward to shake hooves. Doc pushed up his goggles and said "Welcome, it's nice to meet you."

Drone looked at Firebrand's hoof a moment before shaking it and looking to Doc,he looked then to his friend,Flash,he then said to him in a whisper,"How will these ponies help me?"he asked softly,not looking at all convinced these two would be of any use to his mission to find himself.

Flash smiled and said "Well actually we came here for Doc. He is a genius. Like on a massive scale. No offense." he added to Firebrand. Firebrand smiled and said softly "No worries." Doc now took alittle more interest in the conversation as he took off his goggles and asked "How can I help?" "Drone here needs help figuring out his past." Flash explained. Doc noddedd thoughtfully and then smiled. "Okay then. Let's move into the sitting room and get comfortable. He led the way out of the room and through the house.

Drone sighed and facehoofed,"If this is like,therapy,then count me out,I want to know now..."he said,his voice had a tone to it that was quite unexplainable,it had a little bit of everything in it,anger,hope,determination,and most of all,sadness...He sighed and shook his head slightly as he thought,"But....I guess...I can try whatever you had in mind..."he slowly walked forward,he sat where he was told and got as comfortable as he could,his face was mostly blank.

Flash laughed as he sat next to his friend. Doc and Firebrand sat across from them on the other sofa. "No, you just need to tell him everything you can. Its not therapy. He just needs to know all the details so he can star to figure out what happened. Just tell him what you know." said Flash smiling.

Sentinel blinked and sighed,"Well,not much to tell...All I remember is that I was in a lab,it had zebras,changelings,ponies,wolves...Celestia knows what else...All I know,is that I was at a lab was where I was at..."he said,his eyes looking distant and such as he thought about it,he really wanted to know why he would be in a laboratory;or why he would even need to be in one,he was just normal pegasi...or...he thinks he is...

Doc looked thoughtful and said "I need to know everything. How long ago it was, anything about yourself you think I should know. Any pieces I can add to the puzzle. Its really important I know as much as possible." He looked at Drone carefully, reading his reaction.
