Flash at first recoiled from Chryssalis as she jumped on him. He calmed himself down and put on a smile and began splashing at her. Firebrand watched silently and carefully at the playing ponies. He mentally face hoofed. If it was true the black mare had lost her memories, Flash wasntmmaiking it easier for her. He was also scanning all around making sure noone was around to see. Things would go bad fast if somepony saw her before explanations were given.

Icarus arrived on the bridge just in time to hear the explanation.

 

"Some interesting technology you have on this ship. I would love to explore it and get to know the ship even better in my free time. So I assume we are on our way to the base?" Icarus asked in a calm, cool, manner.

 

He really loved the way this ship was built, he knew he would have a good time here.

Drone finished playing after 30 minutes and he stepped out,dried off,and walked inside,he looked at Doc and asked,"so...proposition?"he asked.

Flash and Firebrand watched as Drone walked into the Lab. They looked at each other nervously. Doc looked up as Drone walked in. He considered him carefully, and then he said "First I must ask you something. What did you see in that examination room? I'm speaking of course of Flash and Firebrand. Did you notice anything strange that you wanted to ask about? If not, then I will just cut to the chase."

Drone blinked and looked down,"What did they become?"he asked,looking up at him with a face of pure stone.

Derpy looked at him and slowly walked out of the water and shook off,she then loss her balance and fell over  on her side,she stood back up and looked at the door,she walked up to it,but it was closed,she leaned in to listen,but she fel off balance,one leg off the ground and she fell right into the door,she blushed red and giggled a couple times,"Oops...My bad!"she said and walked out,closing the door after her.

Doc looked at Drone with a careful smile. "You can't share anything I tell you with anypony else. If the ponies of Equestria knew our secret they would run from us rather than turn to us for protection. Like the Elements on Harmony, we, the Elements of Nature have great power. And each of our elements comes with a virtue. But our power is different and more powerful. Inside each of us is an ancient spirit that represent the natural elements. They also represent each of our virtues, but in a slightly more sinister way. For example, Flash's virtue is patience. The spirit inside of him represents patience to the extreme. It would be perfectly content to just wait for eons until all its enemies die off. The reason for this negativity is that all these spirits care about is the earth itself and it's safety. They don't care about ponies, in fact I believe they look down on us. But they need us in order to protect the earth. So they reside in us and let us use their powers. But they are powerful, and we need to keep ourselves and our emotions in check or they can take control because of our weakened emotional state. They are not exactly evil, and they have no evil intentions, but they are unpredictable and their power is devastating in that state. This is our curse." Doc watched Drone, gaging his reaction. "Do you have any questions?"

Drone listened intently,he stared at him a moment and looked at the door a moment before looking back,"...So,they are...eternal elements of this world?...That's cool..."he said and shook his head,"No,no more questions...but lets get to the point...my immortality..."he said,looking at Doc,he sighed softly and walked over to his backpack and put in a code and scanned his eyes,he then put it on and sighed again.

Doc placed his hooves together and looked over them at the stallion. "What if I said I could fix you? Make you normal again. What would you say?" Doc had an intense look in his eye. He stared into the pony's soul.

 

Flash and Firebrand stared back at Chrysalis with smiling faces. They were just about ready to get out of the water now.

Drone thought a very long moment before staring at the ground and saying,"...No I was born immortal...and I'll stay immortal..."he said,looking back up at Doc and staring right back into his soul.

Derpy's mouth dropped open and gasped softly,then he backed up and stumbled onto her flank,"H-he...he is..immortal?"she asked herself.

Doc's eyes narrowed. Then he sighed and dropped his hooves. "Very well. If that is your choice. I just thought I would offer." He rubbed the back of his neck and looked at Drone with a tired smile.

 

Flash and Firebrand climbed onto the riverbank, and shook themselves dry. Firebrand looked at Flash and said "If I don't go and see Pinkie Pie, she will probably freak out. See you later." He ran off towards the local sweet shop and disappeared around the corner.

Derpy watched him leave,he shook her head and looked back to the door,waiting for Drone to come out.

Drone nodded and smiled back,"Thanks Doc."he said softly,then turned to trot on out.

Chrysalis smiled at Flash and looked at Derpy before slowly walking to the door with her and smiling at her new friend,"So,what's your name?"she asked.

Derpy smiled and said kind of loudly,"My name is Derpy!"she smiled.

Doc watched sadly as Drone walked out the door. But there was a strange look in his eye. Something close to pride. He hoped Sentinel would be happy with his decision.

 

Flash looked up and smiled as his friend walked out of the lab. He walked over to meet him somewhat uncertainly, wondering how he would react now that he knew the truth.

Drone smiled at his friend and said,"You know,you are awesome. That element thing is awesome."he said kindly before he was tackled by the two mares,the dark one and the gray one.

Flash blinked in surprise, but then he smiled happily and said "Thanks." He was shoved out of the way as his friend was tackled by the two mares. He laughed out loud as he watched his friend be attacked. Then he turned a little serious as he watched Chrysalis. He tried not to mistrust her but it was very hard. He and his friends had a lot of experience with dark ponies pretending to be somethingg they weren't.

Drone laughed softly as they let him go,he wiped himself off and looked up at the sky,"You guys wana see something cool?"he asked softly,almost distantly.

Drone smiled and slowly floated up into the air and he closed his eyes as he started to focus his power into his wings,he smiled as he opened his eyes again and he shot forward with a huge sonic boom that shook the ground almost like an earthquake,he then circled back and made another boom as he flapped extremely hard,he soon landed and slowly walked up to them again.

His two friends smiled and laughed as they clapped their hooves together for him.

Drone smiled,and looked at Flash,"Hey...um...Flash...listen...it's getting pretty late and I uh...don't really have a house no more...it blew away..."he said,rubbing the back of his neck softly.

Derpy looked at him with a slightly tilted head as she walked up to the two.

Flash's eyes widened in alarm as he took a step back. He realized what his friend was asking and realized that Chrysalis would probably come with him. Jay would flip if he saw Chrysalis walk into his house. "Uh, my place is probably not a good idea. Jay would probably not be happy." He flashed a quick look at Chrysalis as he spoke. "Plus, I was thinking of spending the night with Dash." He smiled sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his neck.

Drone blinked and looked at Chrysalis,he then sighed and looked down,"Ok...I understand...well...bye then..."he said and started walking off and as he walked,his armor swallowed him up and he blasted off,he was...angry...truly angry...he thought he had a friend...but...He shook his head and flew over a huge sea,the water behind him splashing up as he flew at huge speeds.

Chrysalis watched him,she sensed his anger and looked back to Flash and said to him,"He is pretty angry...You know that right?"she asked,looking at the direction he traveled.

"Well, we are basically under the base." Seth called, studying a display board on the wall. "Technically a few klicks away from the y point. The plan was to ram through the ice and launch fighters and bombers. However, the base is abandoned, or looks like it that is. Plus, apparently there was a magnetic field that matched something close to the quantum gateway. I was planning to take a EC-130J to check out the area with you two as fighter escort." Seth said, pulling up a map of the base. "The pulse came from below the mane base. I can't tell if there's any life, so we would be going in blind. I'm open to ideas."

"well.. i think i could have that meal now.. da.. dayum... all of this.. this is too awesome..i can't belive this is happening...i am ready to take off in any moment Seth, my plane doesn't suffe at all radiation and stuff.. as you noticed there aren't glass in the canopy.. everything is computer controlled, i have a 360° vision inside provided by camreas, so i'm both safe and i can both do recon without any problems, if i have something to escort i can assure you that you will not see any scratch on that plane.. when we start?!?"

Flash flinched as Drone flew away. The only reson he felt his anger was because there was a need attached to it. A need for a freind. He looked at Chrysalis and said "Yeah I know. I know very well. But what am I suppose to do. I was telling the truth. I didn't want the guy I'm living with getting pissed at him. If I knew for sure my friend wouldn't get mad at me for bringing Drone home, then I would cancel with Dash and bring him home!" Flash sat on his haunches and hung his head sadly.he was miserable. A friend had needed help and he had turned him down. That went completely against his code of ethics. Heck it went against his cutie mark. Then he felt even more miserable because Drone was out there hurting and he was here feeling sorry for himself. He looked at Derpy and said "What do I do?"

Seth taped a few commands into the board he was studding. "Well, we can start once we surface." He called out to the two. As if on cue, the ship lurched upward, headed strait for the icepack. The ship increased speed on a collision course for the surface. Then it his. The ship shuddered as it smashed through the layers of frozen water. Finally, the giant carrier came to a halt. "Ready?" Seth asked, unfazed by the event.

Seth made his way to the larger hanger, where a three man team was waiting for him next to the EC-130J.

 

"Two crafts will give us escort while we get this rig to the base. This was going to be a quick burn and go, but high command now wants us to land and see what made that ion trail. Grab your gear and prep for the trip." Seth told his wolves and he entered the cockpit. Calling out to the two pilots, he said,

 

"Ok, Intel says that the base is abandoned. Usually a wouldn't even be here if that were the case. However, there is some ion emissions that match something close to our gateway teck. Your job is to get me there with a crew of of tecks and gunwolves there in one piece. After that, you are to land next to the EC-130J and join us in scouting the base. I can't give a 100% lock on the trail from here, but once we land, I will get a more accurate feed on the souse. Volt1, you are up first to take off."

Drone finally landed on a deserted town,he growled out,"Thought I had a friend..But nooooo he had other things to do,no,no,no...That prick blows me and a helpless lost...thing...off"he yelled out in fury as his weapons came out and he started ripping the town apart,shooting up the houses and shredding the buildings.

Derpy blinked and said to him,"I think you should try to explain to the guy your staying with the situation,and to Rainbow Dash...I'm sure they will understand,and if that guy dosen't I'm sure Dash will."she said.
