Voice problems

I haven't been able to scream for several years now.

I used to scream like crazy at baseball games years ago. But since then, I haven't been able to scream at all without hurting my throat.

Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know a way to fix it?

Question: do you drink plenty of water?..... Do you sleep with your mouth open?...... Do you have frequent irritation of the throat?

I drink a LOT of water.

I sleep with my mouth closed.

Not really...

Keep in mind though, I've had this problem for several years...

That's something I wouldn't be asking the internet about honestly, it would be best for you to visit a doctor of some kind, they have experience.

If this has been happening for a few years now, it might just be a part of growing up. Either that or your previous screaming did some long-lasting damage to your vocal cords.

After searching online, I couldn't find anything matching your symptoms. If you are really concerned about this, I highly recommend you take this issue to a doctor or a medical professional and just talk to them about it.

Well this is coming from a lead vocalist in a metal band and if you've damaged your vocal cords its possible they may never fix but some of the things i've found helps is warm salt water (do not swallow) and sucking on Loli pops also make sure to scream from your diafram and not your lungs this causes your vocal cords not to slap against each other as much when screaming idk if this helped but i'm sorry about your voice and hope you get better soon =)

That is so metal ^_^

No really, this works. And tastes great to boot.

Damn skippy :D

Almost as metal as my Rainbow Dash bass tuned to B flat ^_^

Hardcore is magic.

But seriously, I think it's just your vocal chords maturing. Perfectly normal and everyone goes through it (except for Kellin Quinn, apparently). If the pain gets worse or persists, see a doctor.

For your health!
