planning (Planning) Possible 'gang war' RP

So I have an idea that could make an interesting roleplay. A roleplay centered in manhattan several years into the future of the show (so as not to interfere with canon), where the city is split between two rival gangs and the police force trying to control them. But I need help working out details.

 

- I don't have a name, symbol, or color for either of the two gangs.

- I'm not sure whether or not to add guns to the RP.

- I need to flesh out a basic idea of the city and where things are.

- any other additional help and suggestions would also be appreciated.
