I will try to avoid making a Sonic comparison. Oh wait I did! But can RD handle herself if she had to go solo? I mean Rainbow Dash is quite capable of taking care of herself. She of course can get tired, get weak or die. But you think she can save Equestria without Twilight's leadership? Without the other mane 6 members?

Can she handle someone like Sunset Shimmer? Queen Chrysalis and her whole empire head on?(funny seeing RD take all changelings head on)

Or do you think she will eventually need help? But lets just make it as possible as we can

No; she needs the other 5.

I don't think much else needs to be said here; they're unstoppable as a unit, but their flaws are all in the open when they're working apart, especially in such serious matters such as saving Equestria :D

(I also don't think RD is a punk in the context that was implied, btw :D)

No.  First of all, as great as she can be, she has one huge flaw- she doesn't think things through.  Her plan is always "jump in and attack" and that's just not smart.

Really, they need all six.  Twilight's leadership, AJ's common sense and no nonsense approach, Dash's fearlessness,Pinkie's unpredictability, Fluttershy's kindness and ability to reason (not to mention her stare) and Rarity's eye for detail and precision.

Between the six of them, they're a perfect team.

It would have to be a scenario-by-scenario basis. There are certain situations where I think Dash could overcome even with her arrogance, as we have seen in later seasons that Dash's arrogance dies down when it counts and certain enemies they were able to beat without the use of magic. Remember, Fluttershy more or less single handedly convinced Discord to stop causing chaos.

The problem here is Dash never thinks things through, it is always good to have a strategy so you know what you are going to do and save said Equestria. Rainbow Dash knows that it is good to have help when you have loyal friends, the six of them work very well as a unit when they are on the same page.

Well, let's break it down.

+ Dash has raw power going for her.  That's definitely her biggest plus.  Of the Mane Six, she's probably tied with Applejack for strongest member, in terms of strength alone.

+ Dash is also disciplined.  She trains regularly, and clearly has skill on top of strength.

+ Dash never gives up.  Never once has Dash really said "I can't do this," at least in terms of physical tasks.  She'll always try, even when the odds are against her.

+ Dash could play a mean game of wearing-down.  The kinds of acrobatics she does could be used to confuse a foe, getting in swift fly-by hits as she slowly tires her opponent before moving in for the killing blow.

> Dash is fearless.  This could be viewed as a plus or a minus, but Dash definitely does not fear.  Her solution to evicting a dragon, one of the most dangerous and enigmatic creatures in all of Equestria?  Fly up to it and kick it in the face.  That takes guts.

- Dash is brash.  As noted, she doesn't really plan things out.

- Dash is easily fooled.  She seems to have a hard time wrapping her head around magic, and often believes the straight-forward path until proven wrong.

- Dash has a one-tracked mind.  When her method proves ineffective, her solution would be not to change tactics, but simply to apply more force.

Overall:  facing the same trials the Mane Six have together alone, Dash would almost certainly fail.  That's a bit of a given.  However, there are some foes she might be able to vanquish without any assistance.  Defeating a Monster would just be a matter of overpowering it, which is surely simple enough for her.  A Rampaging Villain has an equally one-tracked mind, so, again, they would be on the same playing field, and it would be a matter of who has more power (Though a Rampaging Villain will put up more of a fight than a Monster).  A Mastermind Villain, however, would almost certainly take note of her weaknesses and exploit them to the full extent—she would have virtually no chance against such a foe.
